“Our experience with Ms. Jami and her mom was WONDERFUL. Our doggy Yoddah acclimated to her and her welcoming home immediately at our meet and greet. Jami was assuring, VERY nice and accommodating to our extended need for dog sitting! Jami sent pictures and a video showing Yoddah comfortable and happy! Our dog was pampered and enjoyed his stay. We will definitely be rebooking in the near future. We wish we could give 10 ⭐️'s❣️ Highly recommended. -theBookmans”

“Great sitter. They follow all the instructions, making sure my dog was safe and well taking care of. My doggy enjoy staying at Quing. Will ask in the future to take care of my doggy again.”

“Jenny & her husband were amazing at watching my pup! She was extremely communicative and was playing with him which helped my separation anxiety… lol! 100% going to book with them again :)”

“Lissa is a great Petsitter! She is a kind, person who genuinely cares about your pets well-being. My dog has stayed with her 3 times so far and has been shown nothing short of love and attention. He loves her and her family which gives me peace of mind knowing he is in good hands. I highly recommend Lissa to care for your pet.🩵🐩”

“This is the second time Shabnam has cared for Popcorn, and we couldn’t be happier. She is truly the sweetest dog sitter, treating him with so much love and attention. It gives me such peace of mind knowing he’s in her hands. Popcorn is always so happy and relaxed with her, like he’s part of her family. We feel so lucky to have found her.”

“Book Lori to take care of your dog YESTERDAY--you will not find a better sitter. Lori was so amazing with my dog. He is meek and shy, but he warmed right up to her. She has a really calm, gentle energy that put him at ease right away, and her clean, bright home with a spacious backyard (full of squirrels) was a heavenly retreat for my pooch while I was at a conference. I could tell he was happy from the pictures she sent of him playing in the yard, rubbing up on bushes on their walks, and snoozing happily in one of the many cozy dog spots in her home. Her updates observed the same funny behaviors that I love about him and showed how much she liked and cared for my special guy. Also, normally he can't wait to go home from day care, but when I arrived to get him from Lori's each day, he would come say hi to me but then run back to squirrel patrol, so I know he felt very important and busy while he was there! Lori is a super fast communicator via the Rover app, and she's flexible and easygoing with timing. So easy to work with as a professional (not all dog people are), and I could not imagine a more perfect friend for my dog to spend time with while I was at work. It is a great relief to know I have someone I can totally trust and feel good about leaving my dog with when I'm in the area. Happy to give Lori our highest recommendation--five paws up!”
“Great sitter!! She sent me pictures of my puppy to make sure I was okay with the toys she was playing with and kept me updated with her behavior. Will be booking again for future services.”

“Thank you so much Narumi and family for taking care of Nova for a day. From all the great pictures and videos shared, it looked like she had a great time and was very spoiled.. err, well taken care of. Hah! Appreciate you taking care of her on such short notice and providing great updates and communication all throughout the process. Thanks again for everything and happy holidays!”

“OUTSTANDING! Perla was an amazing sitter, as our pup had such a wonderful time with her! She gave us frequent updates and ensured our pup was comfortable his entire stay. She’s truly knowledgeable on all things dog, and goes out of her way to make sure yours has a great time. She’s the best!!!”

“Donny did an excellent job helping care for our young kitten while we were out of town for 10 days. He was incredibly attentive, communicative, provided photos, and even helped give her medication. Highly recommend”

“Shardea did an excellent job with my 15 year old kitty Marilyn. Marilyn needed medication 2x a day. With being older and diagnosed with intestinal Lymphoma, I was concerned she wouldn’t do well. However, Shardea was so loving and caring. She is a cat whisperer. Marilyn quickly warmed up to Shardea. She ate well the entire time. Shardea met my niece at the airport. I picked Marilyn up and my niece and drove 3 hours. After staying with Shardea almost 3 weeks, a 5 hour flight, and 3 hour drive. Marilyn is now happy and content. Absolutely 0 decline in her health!”

About: I have spent most of my life around cats. I've watched over my sister's kittens on multiple occasions since I was 17, bottlefeeding and potty training. I also have experience taking care of adult cats and kittens post-spay; providing a safe and comfortable space for recovery each time.
“Perla is the best. It’s hard to leave my fur babies when I travel but knowing I have someone that takes such good care of them, makes me feel less guilty about leaving them.”

About: I’ve watched over many people’s cats along with my own cats at home for years. I enjoy their company and respect their needs. I would be thrilled to watch over your cat, and make it a safe space for them. I have plenty of experiences with different personalities of cats, such as calm cats, energetic, cats who may need some time to warm up to you, and those that are playful right away. However your cat may be like, I’ll be happy to get to know them! :)
“I recently had the pleasure of hiring Pearl to take care of my cat Maia while I was away, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we met, I could tell that she was a true animal lover. Her professionalism and genuine care for my fur baby were evident throughout her entire stay. One of the standout aspects of Pearl’s service was her proactive communication. During my first booking, she sent me daily updates and photos of my cat, which was incredibly reassuring. It was wonderful to see my shy cat starting to warm up to her, a testament to Pearl’s gentle and patient approach. During this most recent booking, Pearl helped coordinate with my house sitter to make sure Maia was fed and well loved when I was away. Normally, Maia is very reserved around new people, but she seemed comfortable and even happy in the photos I received. Moreover, Pearl was very respectful of my home. She left everything in perfect condition, just as I had left it. It's clear that she takes her responsibilities seriously and goes above and beyond to ensure both pets and owners are satisfied. I highly recommend Pearl to anyone in need of a reliable, caring, and attentive pet sitter. Her dedication and love for animals shine through in her work, and I will definitely be booking her services again in the future. Thank you, Pearl, for taking such wonderful care of Miss Maia!”

“I’m a so happy we chose Ivy. She went over all our pet instructions and loved my fur babies . Ivy sent daily pictures and responded within minutes to any questions or concerns.. She went above and beyond taking care of my house in the process. I trust Ivy and look forward to another wonderful experience choosing Ivy. Thank you so much Ivy”

“Just needed someone who could drop by to let out my pup while I’d be gone all day and Cassandra is a gem! Great communication and even though she was only with my dog for a quick potty break she provided many photos of their adventure.”

About: helped take care of a friend’s cat while they traveled during summer, winter, and spring breaks. Since they lived close to me, I stopped by their home twice a day to make sure the cat had food and water and to spend some quality time with him. I would open the windows to let in fresh air and sunlight because he loved to sunbathe. Because the cat was older and didn’t need much, simple cuddle time was enough to keep him happy and comfortable. After a couple of years, the cat who was named Mexico passed away. We miss him forever. Soon after that, I cat-sat my brother’s cats while he was away on trips. Since they were both young male cats, I made sure they didn’t scratch the furniture or window screens, fight with each other, or steal food from one another’s bowls. I also paid close attention when opening doors to make sure they didn’t try to escape.

“Maddy has been very professional, prompt and respectful. My animals adore her and she spends the time to cuddle with my older dog during her drop ins. Highly recommend her services!”

“We can’t say enough about Elaine. She’s truly a blessing for our 3 cats 🐈🐈⬛🐈⬛ and they love her 💕🥰 they’re very needy of human attention and she fulfills their daily quota. They definitely miss her when she leaves. All 3 of them sleep with her all night! Thank YOU for your extra special care ☺️”

About: I’ve had a love for cats since I was 6 years old feeding the strays in my neighborhood. I’ve always been around cats, whether its family or friends, or my own kitties, so I have a lot of experience and knowledge about how to properly care for and love them.

“Tatiana did an amazing job helping my kitten with her separation anxiety. Tatiana was very patient and nurturing not just with her but myself as well. I would definitely rebook when needed. Thank you for everything and for such a safe environment.”

“This was the first time I ever used Rover and Sami exceeded all my expectations!! Sami dropped in to check on my cats while I was out for the holidays and she did everything I asked. Roach immediately loved her and my anxious kitty, Miso, even warmed up to her!! I will definitely be rebooking with Sami if I’m ever out of town again and I’m sure Roach and Miso look forward to seeing her again 😸”

“Zulaiha was excellent! My cats love her, and she took really great care of them. I was actually stressed because this was the first time I was away from them, but she made sure they were all good and they had everything they needed. I'll definitely want her to take care of my cats if I'm ever away on a trip again because I know they'll be in great in hands.”

“Nicole is simply awesome. My wife and I go away for weekends pretty regularly and normally we rely on family and friends to care for our cats and chickens. This past weekend none of them were available, so I looked into Rover and found Nicole. After reading her profile and getting a sense of her being a great person with an innate love for animals, we hired her. Could not be happier with our decision. She took care of the critters with exceptional love and responsibility and she will be our go-to care taker from this point forward. Family and friends: you're off the hook. We've found Nicole!”

“I just started using Perla’s daycare service this week, but I can’t already tell she’s AMAZING!! I thoroughly recommend her, and she’s been a lifesaver while my dog’s been recovering from surgery (alas, I must work). I don’t know how she finds the time to take all the pictures she does and uploads them to the Rover platform, but it’s reassuring to see that my fur baby’s being well taken care of. As you can see from the reviews on Perla’s page, she’s highly coveted and admired by many pet parents, so don’t hesitate to contact her! Thank you, Perla, for being so attentive and knowledgeable, and you’re truly a godsend!!!”

About: I’ve had a ShitZu for over 12 years, have taken care of neighbors dogs dozens of times, and am always excited to mingle with a new doggo. I am punctual, attentive, responsible, and super friendly. I am a student, and all of my classes are online. I work remotely as well, and spend most of my time on video editing or fitness. Walks are a big part of my routine, especially in the mornings and after dinner. I am very cautious and attentive when it comes to dogs. I am hyper aware, and always try to figure out how to make them happy and comfortable in the space. When walking, I’m very good at gauging what the dog wants and needs.
“Thank you so much! She is BEST sitter for us. She sent many photos for us. So We could know how our fur baby were doing. My dog had a very relaxing stay and is very good condition the next day. We'll definitely request again next time.”

“Zahara was amazing with my dog! 🐾 She asked for details beforehand and even invited me to check out her place before the stay, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. “Hiromi is such a great sitter. So easy going and wonderful! She loves my Cookie and is so caring. Cookie really enjoyed the staying with Hiromi. I received pictures during the staying and was really happy to see the photos!”

About: I grew up with dogs and cats and can understand how they are feeling. There is a huge park nearby that I can take them on their daily walks and exercise if opting to stay at my place. In general, I love taking care of them like they are my own. I work full time remotely on East Coast hours, which means I finish my work early while spending more time to take care and play with your fur baby! I live by myself and can fully dedicate and commit my time to your dog or cat's needs. I have a plenty of space for your fur baby along with a fenced patio if caring in my home. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I stay with your fur babies and take lots of pictures throughout the day to make sure they're having a good and relaxing time with me.
“Bogie LOVES Deeja and Luc and their dog Milo. She’s always so excited to go to them for day care or boarding. They take great care of her and she seems relaxed and happy after time there.”

“Elaine is FANTASTIC! She was so informative and thorough during our meet and greet and treated our shy dog Gitzo with such patience and kindness during his first daycare stay with her, as he was a little nervous being in a new spot. We will be repeat clients for sure!”

“Sonish is amazing! Gave us plenty of updates and pics / videos throughout the day. Elmo loved spending time with him and Kobe! Their place has plenty of toys and love. Would highly recommend :)”

About: I have a 25lb goldendoodle named Churro 😊 I currently cannot commit to getting another fur baby; however, would love to watch your furbaby and treat him/her like family 💕 I'm currently a stay-at-home mom with two sweetest boys (one furbaby, one hooman). If I do go out to run errands, I'm back home no more than 2 hrs later. I have a fenced yard and a furfriend + toddler to keep your fur baby company. If you provide a crate, I can easily crate your fur baby for extra protection.
“Dorle was SO wonderful with my dog Arthur. So easy to work with, very trustworthy, and gave me lots of updates throughout the day. Her house is dog HEAVEN. Wish I could stay with Dorle and Arthur could go to work. Thank you so much!”

“Sylvia was amazing! She kept me updated on my two dogs throughout their stay in her home and made sure they got plenty of playtime ! I would highly recommend her and plan to rebook !”

“We got constant updates throughout the day! These are the best sitters in town for your doodles! We will always use them when in town! Thanks for such amazing care of our pup!!”

About: I have taken care of a variety of animals since I was a young kid and have had a dog virtually my entire life, sometimes a few dogs at once and many cats too. I have been a fish, dog, and cat parent for about thirty years or more of my adult life and ongoing. Recently completed a twelve-week obedience training course with our German Shepherd. Plenty of work to do. We also have done pet sitting for friends, as they have also done for us over the many years. We have cared for many a senior dog or cat, as they have been ours. We have always had and cared for animals through their entire life cycle. Before Rover dog care and dog walking of other peoples pets, aside from friends pets was not something we had done as a business, but taking care of animals, especially dogs is an activity I have been doing my entire life, every day. We walk our own dog a couple of times daily. I have owned and cared for many dogs. I currently own a two year old White German Shepherd, which is very socialized. He is a silly one. I have some experience in training, in as much as myself and my GSD went through twelve weeks of obedience classes through PetSmart to help get him setup for success. My primary business is in IT. I work from home almost every day. I have an independent IT consulting company, working for myself since 2003, to date. A very flexible schedule. However, the business has been slow and I am looking for something to supplement my income. Another IT job would likely be treated as a conflict, and I already do that work anyway. This type of gig seems perfect, flexible schedule and doing something I have always wanted to do. Right now, I have the time. We will discuss shifts; I may be good to help during a variety of times. I love dogs, all animals really. We are very willing to sit for some dogs in our own home or stop in to check on, walk and feed them, etc. I have a neighbor that does the same thing as a “side hustle” (for Rover) and they love it. When I am out walking my dog, I often run into them walking their dog tenants that they are sitting while owners are away. I have lived in the Southbay since 1988 and love it here. I live in a two-story house on the edge of old Torrance and Harbor City. I look forward to our future contact and making some new furry friends. Thanks so much for your consideration. I have a fenced yard and one dog, a white German Shepherd that is still enjoying late stage puppy hood :-) at two years old. Loves his toys, well socialized and really loves playing with other dogs. He is good company for another dog and someday soon we may be getting another, so he always has a friend. Right now we have just one. We also have one Maine Coon cat (16yr), that generally stays out of site around new dogs. Our one cat has been living with dogs most of his life. We will create separation of animals if it is necessary. If you provide it and it is needed, we will crate your dog, otherwise we are happy to let them always be part of the home while staying with us. The home is safe and secure with plenty of space inside and outside. We are in an enclosed subdivision with safe residential streets for walks. We have dedicated space where our dog and cat eat separately, we can also set up feeding so your pet can eat alone if necessary. We can adjust access to food, so nobody (including our dog) has any issues. Dog walking is done regularly for our GSD and we are happy to take your pet along to explore the neighborhood.
“Qing took my little Kit for doggy day care for two long days at the very last minute. She was responsive and sent several photos throughout the stay. Kit seemed very happy when I dropped him off and when I picked him up. I will definitely reach out the Qing again.”

“Amazing sitter!! Shaun and her family are super sweet and everytime I’ve left Roux with them they treat him as their own! They send updates, pictures and videos throughout the day which I truly enjoy! We’ve used them twice already and will continue to use their services!!”

My goal is to give your pet a comfortable, stress-free stay and to keep you updated with photos and messages throughout the day I live with my Rottweiler and provide calm, structured, and attentive care in a home environment. I’m with the dogs most of the day, so they’re never left on their own and always supervised. About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cared for my own for 17 years, so being around pets is second nature to me. I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love animals, and I treat every pet like they’re my own so they feel safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. Pet care has always been a natural part of my daily routine. I recently lost my dog a couple of weeks ago at 14 years old, but for years I took care of him every day. I walked him, fed him, gave him treats, and made sure he stayed active and happy by taking him to fun places like parks and outdoor areas. Taking care of pets has always been something I genuinely enjoy, and I’m used to making time in my day to give them attention, exercise, and care. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I focus on making them feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I follow the owner’s routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, walks, playtime, and any special instructions. I make sure pets get plenty of attention, exercise, and bathroom breaks, and I always keep their space clean and safe. I also pay close attention to their behavior and needs so they feel relaxed and happy while their owner is away.
“My 5 year old doodle has been walking with Jailene for over a week now. We decided our pup needed more midday exercise than we could provide, so Jailene swooped right in to come on time everyday: friendly, confident, professional, and no frills. My dog even looks cool walking with her! They get an uphill mile in each weekday for 30 mins and our pup comes back worked, happy, and relaxed. It's been very easy to communicate with Jailene and we trust that our dog is in good hands.”

“Christeen was wonderful taking care of Maddie while we went away! She let me know when she arrived at my house and when she took Maddie on a walk! She took pictures, video's and sent them to me. I highly recommend Christeen and will definitely use her again!! *****”

About: I have experience caring for dogs with medical needs, including daily eye care, supplements, and dietary routines for my own dog. I’m very attentive, patient, and confident following instructions. Whether your dog needs slow walks, structured play, or extra cuddles, I’m happy to accommodate their routine. I have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available throughout the week and on weekends. I plan my day around feeding times, walks, exercise, and downtime so your dog stays on their routine. I prioritize safety, routine, and supervision. Walks are always leashed, feeding and medications are handled carefully, and I make sure dogs don’t access anything they shouldn’t. My dog Mylo is gentle and calm, so visiting pups adjust easily.
About: I have cared for and been around animals my entire life, and absolutely love them all. No breed restrictions here! Over the past almost decade, I've worked in numerous pet care facilities, along with rehabilitation centers for other animals including bats, sloths, flying squirrels, etc. Now I’m working at a chiropractor/massage location, but still absolutely love animals with a passion! I strive to love and care for your fur kid as if it's my own. I’m extremely patient, love to go on walks, and cuddles are my speciality. I can honestly say, I’ve never met an animal I didn’t immediately fall for. The only complaint I’ve heard from a pet owner was that I just might spoil their pet more than them. Not only will I take care of your fur babe, but I’ll also care for your house as well. Need mail brought in? Plants watered? I do that too. Pet care has always been a natural part of my daily and weekly routine because I’ve worked with and cared for animals my entire life. It doesn’t feel like a chore—it feels like second nature. Each day, I make sure animals are fed, have clean water, and a comfortable space, but I also prioritize their emotional well-being through play, walks, or simply spending quiet time with them. I build my day around their needs, whether that’s early mornings for feeding and exercise, or evenings for grooming and bonding. On a weekly basis, I set aside time for deeper care, like washing bedding, refreshing living areas, and doing more detailed grooming or health checks. I find joy in noticing the little things—changes in behavior, shifts in appetite, or even subtle signs that an animal may need extra comfort or medical attention. Because I truly love animals, caring for them never feels like a task to squeeze in—it’s something I look forward to and value. They become part of my rhythm, and ensuring they’re healthy, safe, and happy is a responsibility I take to heart every single day. When caring for pets in my home or a client’s home, I approach it with the same level of love and responsibility I would give my own animals. I always start by learning about each pet’s unique needs—feeding schedules, routines, medications, favorite activities, and any special instructions—so I can provide consistent, comfortable care. In the home, I make sure their environment is safe, clean, and enriched. That includes fresh food and water, daily exercise or playtime, litter box or waste cleanup, and keeping their bedding and living areas fresh. I also pay close attention to their behavior and body language, since small changes often signal when an animal needs something extra. Beyond the basics, I focus on giving them companionship and reassurance. Whether that’s long walks, interactive play, or quiet time for pets who enjoy simply being near someone, I make sure they feel cared for and not just “looked after.” For clients, I communicate regularly with updates and photos, so they know their pets are happy and well cared for. My goal is always to make pets feel secure and loved while keeping their routines as normal as possible, so clients can have peace of mind while they’re away. For me, it’s not just about making sure they’re fed and safe—it’s about making them feel loved, secure, and comfortable. More than anything, I want every pet to feel at ease while their family is away. I know how much trust it takes to let someone else care for a beloved companion, so I put my heart into giving both pets and their owners peace of mind.
“Tatiana did an excellent job with our special needs dog . He is completely blind but loves walks. She selected places that best suited him. Tatiana has a strong intuitive sense of dogs , as well as being bright and active. She is not lazy. Tatiana did a wonderful job and I would hire her again.”
About: Hi, my name is Claire. I am a second generation, certified dog groomer. I managed my family-owned dog grooming business in the San Fernando Valley for 15 years before moving to the South Bay. Animal care is part of my genetic makeup. I am currently completing a double major at CSULB. My classes are stimulating, but as a lifelong animal lover I am missing my fur angels so much. I feel Rover gives me the freedom to make some new fur friends while I continue to study. Please reach out if you have any questions regarding my animal care expertise, I have been professionally handling canines in a multitude of capacities most of my life and have found dialogue is the best way to clarify your fur angel's necessities. Thank you for reading. Claire This summer I am currently volunteering once a week via zoom. Making this time ideal for me to spend some time with your fur angels. I have a fenced yard. I am also a very active person. My husband and I love to go for a walks the only thing that makes my daily walking better is having a furry companion accompany us.
About: I grew up with dogs since I was a child. I grew up with Shiba Inus, so I know very well about them. I currently don't have any pets as my girl passed away from old age last year and haven't gotten a new furbaby since she passed. I have been a professional dog walker/boarder/care taker for 5 years before pandemic and had many recurring clients when I was in the Bay area. I love walking them and always give 1 on 1 attention. Some of the compliments I get all the time are how detailed my updates are with many pictures and videos. I personally love to take many pictures and videos of my pets and kids, so I just take a bunch when I walk them or have them over my place. I always make sure they have water (iced water when it gets hot) before I leave with treats (unless pawrents say otherwise). I always update with their potty details too as I know as a pawrent that you want to make sure your furbaby is doing well. If I feel something is wrong, I immediately contact the pawrent. If they made a mess, I try to clean up the best I can before leaving as I know how tiring that can be unless told otherwise. Another compliment I get is how well I am with senior dogs or dogs with medical needs. The dog I grew up with was with me since he was 3mo old until he passed (15.5yrs old). He had many health complications the last 3yrs of his life that I learned how to give every medicine that you can think of including eye meds, pills, syringes, etc. I always have pill pockets, so just in case they don't want the meds in their food, I can always wrap with pill pockets instead. I am very keen, so once I get to know your furbaby, I will be able to see any changes or sense a difference and will let you know. Since my dog was very quiet, we missed a lot of signs from him although I had a doubt as a kid. I don't want that happening to anybody or any dogs. I am also certified in pet first aid and pet cpr. I take pride in as a caretaker and love to be your furbaby's new buddy to hang out with! I currently work at home, so I can be with your furbaby all the time even when my kids are home. I don't mind taking them for walks or even to the park after work as long as weather permits Dogs are free to roam in kitchen/living room area and will have access to unlimited water. Treats will depend on what permission I get from each pawrent. They will never be alone with my kids without any adult supervision as I know how rough kids can be. My kids are taught, but are still too young, so I will never leave them alone with any dogs. I never left them alone with my senior girl even when she became weak and ill with her last few months of her life.

“Wonderful experience boarding my dog with Gina. Upon arriving and on pick up readily appreciated her ability to adapt to my dogs personality and know Pepper was well cared for during the visit. The outdoor yard provides plenty of space for dogs to roam and well secured fence and gate. I would not hesitate to book with Gina if travelling in the area again.”

“My 1 year old male Frenchie can be hyper but he absolutely had the best time in her care. She was so good to him. It was his 1st time away from me and I was nervous but she made us both feel comfortable and the entire experience was exceptional. I’d 100% recommend her services.”

“Sonish is fantastic! He was very communicative and we appreciated the photos/updates throughout the stay. He took great care of our two dogs with wildly differing energy levels (one’s a senior and the other is a little over 1). They both came back happy, walked, and clean. We would definitely recommend him (and Kobe) and will come back again!”
