I currently don't have any dogs living with me but prior to July 2025 I had my own fur babies since 1992. I decided this would be a wonderful way for me to get some puppy love, bring peace of mind to traveling pet parents, and make some money while providing a loving service. It is essential to lay out boundaries and discipline, balanced with affection and rewards for dogs. My mentor for training my dogs was Cesar Milan. We include light training through positive rinforcement methods for most dogs in boarding...just a little value-added for the furry friends we love. About: I am a mother with a daughter who is still at home and we both loves dogs. For 6 years we had a 95 lb, extremely needy dog. Most recently we rescued a 16-yr-old dog (I joke that we were the best nursing home ever for old man Wally - who could barely hear or see for his last 2 yrs of life.) But you probably know how that ended…. So now we are pet free and miss our dogs. Therefore, we want to care for others when their loved one is out of town. About: Hello, my name is Daya. I’ve been working with animals, technically my entire life and I know that’s what you typically read.. when I was younger I had roosters, chickens, guinea pigs, rabbit, lizards, and birds. I was seeking to becoming a veterinarian technician, but I know that wasn’t my real passion. I became a Dog trainer, now for 6 years. I have been working with reactive dogs (aggressive) and the reason why I say reactive is because our dogs react towards something that makes our dogs look aggressive or probably are. I make sure as a Dog Trainer and the pet parent have a clear understanding what we need to do to help out our dogs. The training I do is obedience. I came to Rover to help out pet parents in need and not just with training but to also care for your furry friend when you're at work. Not only am I a Dog trainer, but I’m also a dog bather at my job. So, I don’t just train dogs. I make sure they are groomed well and again I just bathe. I Do Not cut hair. I want to make sure that our furry friends are clean and healthy so when they are in our home or it’s summer, they feel fresh and fine. I am also a pet parent myself. I have two cats and two dogs of my own. In the picture that you see on Rover, I am Daya the person on the right side. Every day I need to make sure that my babies are fed and well. “I think we've had our young dog, Leica, stay with Harley and her family 5 or 6 times now and she is the best! To name a few reasons: 1) She is on the ball about communicating. She writes back immediately, whether it be on DogVacay or text messaging. She sends cute pictures too. 2) Her dog, Briscoe, is a sweetheart and gets along SO well with my pup. They share toys, beds, everything while Leica is staying there. Leica is a little over a year so still has a lot of energy and Briscoe puts up with it just fine, he's great. 3) Harley is very upfront about everything. If she has to be out of the house for a few hours she lets me know. She is such an easy person to work with. 4) They have a nice big fenced in yard to hang out and play in, which Leica doesn't have at home so he LOVES it. 5) The day before I dropped Leica off he had to go the vet because his paw had become infected from licking it so much, I contacted Harley to make sure she was OK with him still coming and she was still happy to have him, even with such last minute news. 6) She knows what she's doing, she seems to have a lot of experience dealing with dogs and I trust her 100% with my pup when we're away, and she's the only one I do completely trust. 7) Leica tends to not eat while we're away but he always eats at Harley's. That proves to me that he is happy to be there, and not as stressed as he has been staying elsewhere. 8) You can tell Harley genuinely loves and cares about dogs.
