About: I’ve always been around animals and genuinely love them, especially Golden Retrievers. My friends and family trust me with their dogs because I actually enjoy spending time with them. I hang out with them, play with them, take them on walks, and make sure they get plenty of attention. I don’t personally have a dog at the moment because I travel from time to time, but dogs have always been a big part of my life. My wife has owned two dogs, and I’ve personally had cats, so I’m very comfortable around animals and caring for them. I’m patient, calm, and good at building trust, especially with pets who may need a little time to warm up. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I’ll make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re with me. I will personally be the one providing all care for any pets booked through my Rover profile. I’m available mornings and evenings for dog walking, drop-in visits, house sitting, and boarding. I enjoy spending real time with the pets I care for, whether that means going on walks, playing, hanging out, or just keeping them company. I’ll also keep you updated with pictures and messages so you know how they’re doing. Since I live in an apartment, the best fit would be a dog who is house trained, calm indoors, and comfortable using either the elevator or stairs. They should also be able to settle without excessive barking. I’m happy to spend plenty of time with them, play, go on walks, and keep them company. I just ask that they don’t have aggressive behavior, biting, frequent accidents, or destructive habits. A quick meet-and-greet beforehand would be great so we can make sure everyone feels comfortable and it’s a good fit.

“This was our very first time leaving Bear with anyone for any amount of time; whether minutes, hours, much less days. And we needed to leave him for 3 nights! We knew this was going to be a BIG DEAL for him AND US. We were so stressed and anxious because we knew Bear will be wondering what is happening, why is his owners leaving him with someone else, etc. We searched and searched on Rover. We went to several meet & greets (M&G). Bear already knew something was up coz he was howling his head off every time we were in the car heading to another M&G. We got referred by another Rover sitter to Rommel since she also had left her dogs with him. Our M&G with Rommel was great. He was very confident & comfortable handing Bear for the very first time and they proceeded to go for a walk. We decided to go with Rommel. I had to give Rommel detailed instructions since Bear is an EPI dog and needs to take his meds. In addition to his other quirks. During Bear's stay with him, Rommel sent videos every day and a note on how Bear is doing. We were so relieved and happy that Bear was doing well. I’m an avid hiker so I’d be more than happy to take your dog for a long hike (with permission obviously) or shorter walks around the neighborhood. I would only need to leave for short errands and to feed my own pets if my partner is unable to do so, but majority of time is dedicated to your Pets in your home. I’ve worked with animals of all ages and personalities and can accommodate any special needs your pet may have. If they are shy and need time to warm up, I will do all I can to gain their trust. If they need specialty food or medication, I have my own cats on a strict medication schedule so I’m more than used to it. If they are high energy and need lots of exercise I will make sure to get them up and running around as much as they need. I just want to make sure their lives are just as comfortable as when you are home with them.

Being athletic myself and having easy access to great trails and walking routes nearby makes me an ideal dog walker. My partner, a former tennis player, is also an expert at fetch at the park right next to us. I work from home and barely go out because I am a homebody who loves cuddling and playing with animals all day. I love running and walking near my place and can do it as much as needed. My place is a third-floor townhome plan, and it’s 1,500 sq ft. I don’t leave my place for three hours a day unless there is a special occasion. We have three cats at home who are shy but sweet and wouldn’t ever bother the dog. They are all fully vaccinated, including rabies. “This was our very first time leaving Bear with anyone for any amount of time; whether minutes, hours, much less days. And we needed to leave him for 3 nights! We knew this was going to be a BIG DEAL for him AND US. We were so stressed and anxious because we knew Bear will be wondering what is happening, why is his owners leaving him with someone else, etc. We searched and searched on Rover. We went to several meet & greets (M&G). Bear already knew something was up coz he was howling his head off every time we were in the car heading to another M&G. We got referred by another Rover sitter to Rommel since she also had left her dogs with him. Our M&G with Rommel was great. He was very confident & comfortable handing Bear for the very first time and they proceeded to go for a walk. We decided to go with Rommel. I had to give Rommel detailed instructions since Bear is an EPI dog and needs to take his meds. In addition to his other quirks. During Bear's stay with him, Rommel sent videos every day and a note on how Bear is doing. We were so relieved and happy that Bear was doing well. Before the sit, Banafshe was courteous and timely in replying to our handful of messages with questions. She was gracious enough to allow us to bring Huxley over for a quick meetup with her and her lovely family), before the scheduled stay. Banafshe followed up with us the day of to confirm what time we would be dropping Huxley off. Unexpectedly, our pup had a tooth pulled prior to the boarding, and Banafshe was very helpful in ensuring Huxley received his medication (in his food).
