“I cannot be more pleased with the care Sara provided for my very senior dog, Kona. Kona stayed with Sara for 5 days and appeared to adapt quickly to Sara and her house. Without asking, Sara took the initiative sending updates and images of Kona throughout her stay. Sara quickly replied to my inquiries before and during Kona's stay. One of the reasons why I initially chose Sara, was the experience she listed as working in a veterinary's office and the fact that she put together a very thorough bio describing her background in working with animals. I was initially considering a kennel in Arroyo Grande but was concerned that being in a large kennel environment would be hard on a senior dog like my Kona. With Sara's veterinary experience, she felt that a quieter home environment would be easier on a senior dog, without me bringing up this concern of mine. If you are looking for good quality care for your pet, I highly recommend Sara! Kona will be returning soon to Sara's home when I travel out of state.”

About: Greetings, I have grown up with 2-3 dogs my whole life, many of which have had health issues. I am comfortable with any type of dog and his/her accommodations. I have also pet sat for many animals, dogs included. I love being outside and would take your loved pets on walks or runs if they were in my care unless the owner asked otherwise. They would have constant access to water, food when owner specifies, and many parks and an outside yard to go to the bathroom. I believe in frequent bathroom breaks, constant attention, play, and naps. I am available after 12 am on Mondays and Wednesdays. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I am available after 10 am. I have three other people I live with who are comfortable with and will love on the dogs if they are home. About: I've taken care of dogs in some capacity since I was young. Everything from overnight/multi-day boarding, month long, and walks for young dogs and old dogs. I grew up with a dog of mine own who was deaf so have experience with challenging dogs as well. My husband also has lived with dogs (hunting labs) his entire life. My husband and I just moved from Chicago to the Central Coast. I working full-time remote from home so am very flexible with walks and care. The most I might be out of the home during the week is 2-3 hours and on the weekend maybe 5-6 (but can be flexible in limiting that if a dog is staying with us). We have a small fenced in deck on our and then a larger outdoor space. We live in an easily walkable neighborhood and about a mile away from a dog park.

About: I like to walk the dogs daily around the Atascadero Lake. I have a decent size fenced backyard with room to run and use my poop scooper daily. I am retired and looking for things to do during the week (mon-Fri) to fill my days. I have always loved the company of dogs and love to take them on daily walks. I have a dog bed in my bedroom, where your dog would sleep at night. The dogs water bowl is always kept clean and fresh. The dogs would always be welcome to hang out in the house with me, too.

Typically we become besties…and develop a wonderful bond & connection,. You will have peace of mind knowing your beautiful dog(s) is receiving the best loving care. When we are inside your canine family member is treated like my child while staying with me… I allow hanging out on my bed so we can be cozy and cuddly. Of course if this is not allowed in your home I will follow your rules to stay consistent. I have cozy throw blankets , dog bed,( always washed , sanitized & fresh ) lots of toys, bully sticks, balls, rope toy , healthy treats, bowls for food & water. When we go outside to play, potty and walks I always have your pet on a leash for their safety & protection. There is an enclosed fenced locked area here that I am able to access to allow the dogs to run and play off leash. It’s not a dog park so there will not be other dogs there. It’s basically a private area and the all the dogs love it! It’s about 75 yards in length & approximately 20 feet wide . All grass. We also take walks to the pool where there’s a rock jacuzzi and lots of grass around the pool. Dogs are welcome to be there with me on their leash and they all seem to really enjoy it . Your dogs safety is my priority.

About: I have had dogs my entire life. I have taken care of dogs and cats professionally and for friends and family throughout the years and love it! I am currently working part time and will have plenty of time to play with your pups. I an available on weekdays and weekends any time except for Mondays after 2 pm. I have a fully fenced yard and a cozy home to keep your fur babies comfy. And I can easily crate your pups if needed.
About: I've worked and managed a dog kennel here in North County for several years and have tons of experience in dog handling. Which include, pet supervision and play. Dog walking, dog bathing, giving dogs medicine both oral and injections. Special and unique feeding instructions. I'm familiar with many breeds and common behaviors and signs to look out for when overstimulated, anxious/nervous, lethargic, excited, etc. I work hard at gaining your pets trust and becoming a great friend to them. I currently work part time but I'm able to make my own schedule. My work is pet friendly too with no other pets or people around with usually big fenced yards My home is animal and kid friendly so they wouldn't be able to get into anything troublesome or unsafe. All cleaning materials are up and there isn't any food lying around or close enough to get into in case of allergies as well.

I can walk dogs, help to potty train, help with basic obedience, crate train, take to dog parks, even come and clean litter boxes and feed cats! My dogs are crate trained and sleep in their crates when we are not home. My dogs get to be on the couch and bed with us. We do not leave them outside when it is too hot or too cold, but they do love to lay in the sun. Pet care fits great with my schedule, as taking care of my family is my number one priority. Working a 9 to 5 job just doesn’t fit in with my daily life. Pet care is fun, unique, and never the same! I have a fenced backyard. I would never leave your pet outside unattended. If I’m at your home, I’ll play with your cats or dogs. I’ll gain their trust (not just clean litter boxes or pick up after them). I make sure to take lots of videos and pictures so you know they are happy and taken care of. Your pets are treated with respect and like my own when I care for them.

“I cannot be more pleased with the care Sara provided for my very senior dog, Kona. Kona stayed with Sara for 5 days and appeared to adapt quickly to Sara and her house. Without asking, Sara took the initiative sending updates and images of Kona throughout her stay. Sara quickly replied to my inquiries before and during Kona's stay. One of the reasons why I initially chose Sara, was the experience she listed as working in a veterinary's office and the fact that she put together a very thorough bio describing her background in working with animals. I was initially considering a kennel in Arroyo Grande but was concerned that being in a large kennel environment would be hard on a senior dog like my Kona. With Sara's veterinary experience, she felt that a quieter home environment would be easier on a senior dog, without me bringing up this concern of mine. About: Active and attentive family available to provide multiple levels of care for your fur baby! Our nine-year-old is interested in starting a dog walking business (with support from mom or dad), and we are also able to board a friendly dog who would be sharing space with our elderly dog or do drop-ins/ house sit when more appropriate (not the whole family!). We can provide exercise through walks, on-leash hikes, or whatever works for your dog. I’ve been around dogs most of my life and am comfortable with all ages (puppy to elderly). Our child is in a hybrid homeschool program so someone is home most days throughout the day to keep your pet company.
