“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I dropped off my dog, Sugar, with Cody, and let me explain what “Sugar” is dealing with. Sugar is a tiny white cockapoo whose greatest natural predator is…existing. She’ll hear a leaf land three houses away and immediately file an insurance claim. She has been startled by her own reflection, a pillow, and once spent five minutes suspicious of a decorative pumpkin. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ So naturally, I was thinking, “There’s no way this dog survives being around another dog and a cat.” Wrong. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cody has this supernatural calm that apparently extends to terrified fluff balls. His dog was basically like, “Hey, you wanna hang out?” Sugar answered in her native language, which is silent panic. His dog didn’t care. She just kept being cool until Sugar realized nobody was trying to assassinate her. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Then there’s the cat. Most cats look at a nervous little dog like they’re planning a documentary called How Easy Would It Be? Cody’s cat was just…chill. At one point I think the cat judged me more than it judged Sugar. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ By the end of the stay, Sugar was wandering around like she paid the mortgage. She actually looked relaxed. Relaxed! This is a dog who’s emotionally overwhelmed by a ceiling fan. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I don’t know what Cody does. Maybe he whispers affirmations. Maybe he has Disney-princess powers. Maybe his dog is running some kind of emotional support operation and the cat is HR. Whatever it is, it works. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I picked Sugar up happy, safe, exhausted from actually having fun instead of rehearsing imaginary disasters. Cody sent updates, took amazing care of her, and somehow convinced the canine equivalent of an anxious Victorian ghost that life isn’t one long emergency. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If your dog is confident, Cody will probably make them happier. If your dog is like Sugar and thinks gravity is a personal attack, Cody is basically a miracle worker. Ten out of ten. Would absolutely trust him again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Sugar probably still doesn’t trust the vacuum, but that’s between her and her therapist. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ~Christine and David”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely enjoy. I have extensive hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, including different breeds, personalities, ages, energy levels, and individual needs. For dogs, I’ve cared for a variety of breeds and temperaments through walking, drop-in visits, and house sitting. While living in Australia, I spent two months walking and house sitting an Alaskan Malamute, which gave me valuable experience handling a large, high-energy dog with patience and confidence. I have three rescue cats of my own, all former strays, and I regularly foster cats and kittens. About: I’ve cared for dogs since age 12, especially high energy breeds. I raised 2 puppies from early stages, gaining experience in activity, structure, attention, and consistency. About: I’ve dedicated my life to caring for animals with the same love and attention we give to family. With years of hands-on experience, I’ve cared for pets of all ages and needs—from puppies and kittens to senior pets requiring special attention. I have also rescued and rehabilitated dogs and cats, ensuring they received the care, grooming, and affection needed to thrive before finding their forever homes. I’m currently available throughout the week and offer flexible scheduling to meet your pet’s needs. Beginning August 22, I’ll be attending college, so there will be certain days and times when I have classes. Outside of my class schedule, I’m committed to providing dependable care and will communicate my availability clearly to ensure we find a schedule that works well for you and your pet. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, overnight care, or weekend services, I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I provide a clean, loving, and family-oriented environment where pets receive plenty of attention and care. My home includes my 3-year-old daughter, 7-month-old son, one friendly small dog, and three cats, so I ask that any pets staying with us are comfortable around children and other animals. I carefully follow each owner’s instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and routines, and I treat every pet as if they were part of my own family.
