“We are so grateful to have found Sarah for our poodle. Sarah was willing to do a meet and greet to ease my concerns. And while away, Sarah sent daily photos and status updates. We will absolutely continue to request Sarah for our dog sitting needs.”

“Our boys LOVE visiting Huw and Jolynne and we adore them as well! They’re excited to arrive, sad to leave, and well taken care of every single time. We cannot thank you both enough for your loving, thoughtful care. ❤️”

“Jessica was kind and welcoming for my nervous doggo! She took great care of him and helped him settle in quickly. She also sent me sweet pics of him every day. Will definitely be returning to Jessica for future pet sitting needs.”

“Our dog seemed to enjoy her stay. Great yard for play, and neighborhood for walks. Kaitlin gave great updates during the stay and was flexible with us for drop off and pick up.”

“We are so happy to have found this family to take care of our fur babies! We received updates while we were gone and knew our boys were in good hands. I’m sure they really loved being around the 4 kids and in a home versus being in a kennel somewhere. Thank you!”

“Ralph accommodated my crazy work travel schedule, sent lots of updates, and most importantly took excellent care of my pup Rocky. I so appreciate his attention and care of my dog. Thank you Ralph!”
“Trey is an awesome sitter! I know when Trey watches my dog that he is well taken care of, comfortable, and all his care needs are met. Thank you for taking such good, attentive care of Rocky!”
“Lindsey was great! My dog felt right at home with her two pups and was well taken care of. Looking forward to having Lindsey watch her in the future when I need a dog sitter.”

“Cannot count how many times I have used Sharon and Michael because I would never consider anyone else! My girly pup always gets excited to go over that she doesn’t even say bye to me anymore and just walks herself right in. I love the picture updates and it meant so much that Sharon reiterated her volcano prep procedures, which, thankfully, weren’t needed. It definitely eased my mind though! 10/10 will always recommend!’”

“Kerry is so thoughtful, communicative, and caring! I appreciate her clear affection for doggos, and her patience and understanding about Petra’s quirks. Thank you so much!”

“Crystal met all the needs of our two puppers. Communication was excellent and both doggos had a fun time. We will definitely use Crystal the next time we need to board our fur babies.”

“This was our first time using Rover and we had a great experience with Danielle. She communicated very well with us. She sent us pictures and was flexible with drop off and pick up times. She seems like she truly is an animal lover. I think our dog was a little nervous when we left him because it was with somebody new but when we came back, he didn’t wanna leave her !”

“If I could put 10 stars I would! I have two large very lovable high energy dogs and her house is set up perfectly!! My fiancé and I left town for our bachelor/bachelorette parties and my flight got delayed she was able to watch the dogs after our agreed pick up time. Also she is a great photographer and sends nice updates as to what they are doing. Going to be my go to rover from now on would recommend to anyone!!”

“Amanda was very responsive, sent multiple updates on Walter. She went above and beyond for his care. We really needed someone like her. Would not hesitate to use her again!”

“This was our first time leaving our 2 dogs with other people, let alone strangers. We went to do a meet and greet beforehand and didn’t know quite what to expect. Ryan and Chelsea were great with both of them from the start. Ryan answered all of our questions and was very open. While we were away he kept us updated with how they were doing and sent us photos and videos often. That made it so much easier to enjoy our trip and not have to worry how they were doing. When we went to pick them up, our dogs were excited to see us, but made sure to get last pets from Ryan. We know they are in good hands with Ryan and Chelsea. We will definitely be coming back to them for our trips and we highly recommend! Thank you so much!”

“Sinead was great with Vincent and sent photos/check-ins almost everyday. This was my first time using Rover and I booked daily check-ins instead of housesitting (what I wanted) so I can’t blame her for not being here as much as I expected but can’t blame her either. I would definitely use her again, just with the clarification up front of what exactly we expect. Overall, Vincent was happy and well taken care of!”

“Shelley was great with my cats! I liked getting daily updates and pictures and it was nice knowing they were well cared-for while I was out of town. She will always be my first choice for pet sitting when I travel!”

“Highly recommend Krystina! She was kind, great to communicate with, and was so thoughtful to bring our packages inside when she checked in on our kitty. Our cat sometimes has trouble warming up to new people but we could tell from the pictures that she was happy to be around Krystina and enjoyed all the attention :)”

“Natalie was amazing! She was so kind and flexible with our plans. She took wonderful care of our pet and supplied terrific pet photos from her visits. Thank you, Natalie!!”

“Jacob was amazing! He took great care of our dog Dex while we were out of town. He took care of everything just as we had discussed and even spent time with our cats during his visits. Our very moody cat who doesn't like many people even liked Jacob. I would without a doubt recommend Jacob to anyone.”

About: Had 2 siamese back in the day and boy were they loud at times but faithful friends and beautiful animals. Rescued a stray in 2010 and come to find out she had hidden 5 kittens, they all ended up staying except one which went to a friend. We named them after the 4 seasons (including Fall and Autumn to give us 5 names). The mom we called Polly. Big fluffy mama cat. There’s only one left now but they all lived good long lives. My ex has the remaining one now.

“Izabelle took great care of my cats, and also did a couple of things around the house that made coming home more pleasant. She let the cats, who can be a bit nervous around new people, take their time getting to know her and made clear progress with them every day. By all measures, they seemed to have a great week!”

“Thank you Katy. I love how you got to know my animals. I would trust you to take care of my animals anytime. I did not worry because I knew my cats were well taken care of.”

“Alexandra was/is incredibly accommodating and flexible. I felt completely comfortable leaving my cat with her. She gave great rover card descriptions and sent a lot of pictures. Will absolutely be working with her again!!”

“Mary was able to help on very short notice when a boarding situation fell through right before leaving for the airport. She was great with Sketch and was very accommodating with scheduling. Thanks!”

“Annika has been a lifesaver as I return to the office three days a week. She is so good with my puppy, and cares for her just as I would. She is super communicative and makes me feel like I am her only client. Highly recommend!”

“Lauren was a wonderful cat sitter! She sent detailed daily updates and went above and beyond to make my shy cat feel comfortable. I highly recommend booking with Lauren!”

“The best cat sitter ever!! Communication was timely and kind. Both of my older cats absolutely loved her. They were incredibly well taken care of; brushed, played with, fed, water and a litter clean. Also was so kind to water my plants at a last second request :) will be using Meredith and Macey any time I travel! Highly recommend!”

“Maleah is very consistent, sweet, responsible, great communication and cares for my little elder chihuahua like her own! I would recommend her to anyone looking for a consistent reliable dog walker :)”

About: I’ve cared for cats for friends, family, and neighbors and genuinely enjoy being around them. “Sharon and Mike were great with our pup! Kind people, large fenced in backyard- our pooch enjoyed his stay and we were comfortable leaving him.”
“Alex is great! I can tell my dog enjoys her time there because she was a little TOO excited on the second day. Alex takes lots of great pics and pays attention to my dog's behavior throughout the day. It's also nice that she provides a walk even though there's plenty of space to run around in her yard. Thank you!”

“Trey did a wonderful job caring for my pup. I felt lucky to have found someone to watch my dog who is happens to be an excellent trainer! She is patient, skilled and so kind! She walked me through her training series with my dog each step of the way.”

“Danielle was wonderful from the very start! This was our first time using Rover for Smoky and Danielle provided updates and photos throughout the day, which was very reassuring. Smoky clearly had a wonderful day with her and was exhausted when he got home! Already planning to rebook with Danielle.”

“Allison was AMAZING! She was able to work with my extremely last minute schedule and sent updates throughout the day. I was nervous leaving my 9 week old puppy with someone new, but Juniper loved her stay! She got lots of outside time- which is her favorite- and passed out as soon as we got home. I’ll be booking with Allison again!”

About: During my childhood I often spent time with my grandmother and her pack of boxers. Now I have a Boston Terrier named Jack. I can handle a pack of up to 8 on my own I do currently have a job so I can be a bit busy sometimes. I live with quite a few people, we all help out with caring for the dogs in our care. I can usually feed the dogs in the morning and night. I can adhere to your dogs rules, whether you want them on furniture or not, whether you want them crated at certain times or not. I have not administered medicine before but I am willing to learn if need be.
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve spent years caring for pets for friends and family. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and energy levels. I make sure every animal gets plenty of exercise, affection, playtime, and care while their family is away. I love creating a fun, safe, and comfortable environment for every animal I watch. I am great with any communication requests/requirements and I hope to help make this process easy and smooth :) As a General Manager in retail, I have a very flexible schedule and am able to create my own work hours. I can adjust my day as needed and take breaks when necessary, making it easy for me to return home for feeding times, potty breaks, exercise, and general care. My schedule typically ranges between the hours of 9am to 9:30pm, but I have the flexibility to structure those hours around the needs of my pet. I worked in child care for a couple years and I am the oldest four siblings. I also grew up with our family dog named Pookah. While I understand that caring for humans and dogs are different, I have experience caring for others with the upmost respect, care, kindness, and patience. I love taking walks and getting outside. Overall, I strive to create a very warm and fun environment for any pet I care for.
“Tessa did a great job with my dog Bella. She took very good care of her. She sent me some pictures throughout the day, Bella was very happy and well taken care of when I picked her up, I highly recommend Tessa if you need someone to watch your fur baby.”

About: Current medical student with so much motivation to get outside with my dog in between studying. When I was a kid, I always wanted a dog….but we owned everything except a dog due to our lack of a yard. To solve this, I would knock on my neighbors doors to walk and play with their dogs everyday. Now I can finally continue my love into adulthood. My rescue dog, Cowboy, would also love a furry friend. He was the dog the shelter used to socialize their dogs and I’m sure he misses it. I hope I can help you out and use the knowledge I’ve gained from training him and the dogs in my childhood to love and care for your friend! I work from home and have plenty of time to care for your pet. I take my dog on 2 walks a day and spend a lot of time playing, training, and cuddling. I would love to share this time with your pet too. I have a fully enclosed private back yard. Right outside my front door is a short walk to a park and many other walking trails.
About: My husband and I lost our great Pyrenees a few months ago. :( We have an older shihtzu and would like to watch another dog because our dog is getting older and does not like to hike anymore. She does enjoy her walks tho. We like all types of dogs as long as they are well behaved and get along with cats and other dogs. Our home is 2,800 sq ft and we have a 10,000 sq ft yard. We can only host 2 dogs max at a time so your dog will be well taken care. We prefer only one at a time tho since we also have a cat . I am currently working part time but work from home most of the time. My husband also works from home . We walk our dog 2 -3 times a day. We like to hike and during the summer and in winter we walk the trails that are right next to our home. I have a fenced yard , but can also crate your baby if you prefer. We have everything needed for a big or little dog.
“Tommy was great! We had an all day fishing charter scheduled and he was able to met us at the harbor for pick up and drop off. Tommy responsive and gave us updates on how the pups were. He was very flexible when our charter was delayed. Our dogs enjoyed their day and we had peace of mind they were well cared for.”

“Mandy took amazing care of my dog Ophelia. I didn't even have to worry. At the end of the day, Ophi was happy and sleepy. Mandy was very responsive and sent awesome photos of Ophi. I WILL be rebooking with her, and I'm so grateful to have found her!”

About: Hi! Both my husband and I have grown up in Alaska helping care for small chihuahuas all the way up to wolf-hybrids. We are a fun and loving couple with 2 small doodles of our own, 3 stories of house to play in, a small backyard/potty area, and located right next to a doggy park. We can’t wait to meet your furry friend! I work from home permanently, so I am able to provide care all day long for your fur baby. While I work, typically my two doodles spend their time snacking and watching TV! Once the work day is up, to the park we go! I have two miniature sized doodles to keep your dog company. Additionally, we have many toys available to play with, ample treats, and a small backyard area for potty with an additional park right next door. Both of my doodles are fixed and crate trained. :)
About: Your pup will be treated like family! I have always been an animal lover and have treated all animals with kindness and compassion. I grew up with dogs (and a variety of other pets) and understand the commitment involved in taking good care of your beloved pet. I love watching Cesar Milan and know that rules, boundaries and limitations are also a key part of making a dog feel at ease. That being said, I'm quite a softy so there are generally very few rules as far as the house goes! :) My yard is completely fenced with lots of room to play. They can sleep wherever they choose and will always get plenty of time outdoors ( if they would like). I love walking and will take your pup for as many walks as you would like. My job is very flexible so while dog sitting I will always be at home and with your dog for the entire duration. I know that calmness and kindness are key to reassuring your pup and allowing them to feel happy and comfortable. Boarding can be stressful for animals and parents and I assure you that I will do everything I can to make the experience a joyous and pleasant one. Looking forward to caring for your beloved pup! I have recently lost my 17 yr old chihuahua so looking to have some more dog love in my life right now. Sincerely, Jackie I have a very flexible job as a vending machine owner/operator so I have lots of time to give love and walks to your fur baby! I like to keep pups stimulated with a variety of activities involving exercise, games and love. I enjoy creating fun games for them to do around the house!
“Rogue loved his stays at Crystals house for doggy day care. She was very responsive, had great communication, provided us with updates and photos throughout the day. He loved playing with the other dogs. The second day we dropped him off he was running up to Crystal like he had a new best friend. Highly recommend and will be using her as a sitter in the future.”

“Katy has been great with my dog, Scruff. He needed a ton of patience starting out and she worked with him to get him used to a dog walker. He actually got a little grumpy with me one day when I stayed home sick and she didn’t come.”

About: Our dog passed away and I miss her very much. Recently relocated to Alaska and loving it! Have extra time on my hands to care for your furry bundle. I’ll take care of her/him/them like my own. Sorry I can’t commit to a reoccurring schedule at this time. Currently between jobs (indefinitely!) so I have plenty of time until then to give your loved ones attention. I love being outdoors so plenty of fresh air is not an issue or playing inside and curling up on sofa with your fluff ball is cool too. No problem if your pet prefers their own space, I am open to all types of personalities. Happy to care for pets in your home according to your normal routine. I am currently renting so care in my home is not an option. Thanks for understanding.
About: I’ve always had a love for animals since I was a little girl. I’ve also known that my future career path was going to be something to do with fur babies. I have taken 2 years of a veterinary medicine course in high school, which also gave me the opportunity to get a certification. I was also part of Veterinary Medicine CDE and we went to state and got runner up. This is sort of like a competition that tests you on the basics of veterinary medicine. I worked for Ashcroft Boarding facility and worked there for about a year before leaving for college. I have been pet sitting for 3 years now! At the moment I’m a student at CSU. I coach high school and club volleyball. I work at Facette medical spa and hair salon. My normal hours are 8:45am to 1 pm. My work schedule is very flexible. Something that I think is important is listening to the fur babies wants and wishes when it comes to overnight stays. My big thing is I will always check in with the parents before making any decisions. I want the parents to feel the most comfortable when they have me in their home.
About: Ive had dogs in my life for just about all of it. I figured why not walk dogs and make some side cash while I walk around. Taking care of pets and walking dogs is more of just a part time thing I'm doing to pass the time and get to hang out with animals. Before I moved to Anchorage my family had 4 dogs that I took care of on a daily basis. I always make sure the dog is secured to a lease before I bring them out. Currently on a part time seasonal schedule with more time going to be available in the winter. Figured this would be a great way to stay active and outside while going into the winter months I've have plenty of experience with dogs and their care growing up in northwest Alaska. My siblings and I all had dogs growing up from newborn pups to our fathers dog that lived until he was 21.
“Tessa takes great care of Dash! She always communicates effectively, is easy to work with and always keeps me updated on how Dash is doing. Would highly recommend!”

“Eric did a wonderful job walking our pups! He was on time, we got pics of them out on their walk and had 2 happy pup faces when they got home! Thank you Eric!”

“Meredith has really been a lifesaver since we moved to Anchorage! She has provided multiple nights of house sitting, as well as weekly walks and drop ins for us. She has gone above and beyond to provide Penny with love, exercise, and enrichment. We highly recommend Meredith and Macey if you are looking for people who truly care about your pup!”

I am respectful of your space and will ensure I enter and leave securely. I will also work on building trust with your pet and take proper safety measures while on walks.

Thank you!”

“Prospect was in great company and thoroughly enjoyed his time with Aiko and her family :) Great communicators, flexible with my changing pickup & dropoff times, and my boy was returned to me safe & happy. Would recommend to anyone!”

“Hawken is a genuine ‘dog person’! What a gift. Our boy, who is always hesitant with people took right to him and even went back to him to say goodbye before getting in the car. We are thrilled!”

About: Hello, Caitlyn T. and Harrison S. here! Much of our life revolves around our sweet Alaskan Husky, Crosby, and we'd love to add your pup to the pack while you're away. We both have extensive experience pet sitting - from horses to cats and dogs - and would love to help our community with the space and time we currently have available. About Us: I, Caitlyn, work from home so I can be with your pup all day! We have a dog door to a fenced in (sunny!) backyard, so when we're away, the pups still have access to the yard. We get in morning and afternoon leashed neighborhood sniff-walks, then do longer off-leash walks in the evenings. Harrison works at a bakery in town, but equally caretakes in the evenings and on Sundays and Mondays. As a pet parent myself, having two people involved in the care of my pet when I'm away is comforting, so we're happy to provide that to others! About Crosby: Crosby is a 13-year-old Alaskan Husky/Shephard mix who didn't make the cut for his dog sled team as a puppy, then spent his early years on a farm in Talkeenta before joining our family 9 years ago. He absolutely loves other dogs and reads them well. If they want to play, he'll play, if they want to be left alone, he'll leave them alone. He grew up around puppies, so he is also very good at setting and holding appropriate boundaries with dogs who are still learning. Overall, he has a very quiet, soft demeaner at home but is the most confident, bouncy dog at the park. He still has a lot of energy and in his older years, we just want him to have as much dog-companionship as possible. Your Dog: A good fit for our home would be a dog that is friendly with other dogs, is not food/toy aggressive, can be independent in the house for 1-3 hours at a time, and would not dig under or jump the 4' fence or dig in our gardens. We look forward to chatting more and meeting your pup! 😊 I, Caitlyn, work from home so I can be with your pup all day! “Ashley was great! We needed to find a place at the last minute for our dog for a couple nights. Great communication and she was able to accommodate some minor schedule changes, which was a big help. And, she took great care of our dog, who said he had a blast!”

“Ashley was very communicative and kept us updated about our two dogs throughout our time away. She welcomed them into her home and they seemed very happy. Would highly recommend.”

About: Would love to love on others pets as we unexpectedly lost our dog of 12 years and aren’t ready for another of our own yet I’m currently a stay home mom to a 3 year old daughter, we walk almost everyday and have more than enough time and love to give! We have a shared unfenced yard but walk around the neighborhood daily. We have an open space for playing around and lots of time to give!

“Rufus dog loved his time at Faelyn’s house! Faelyn and her family were so wonderful to our dog! She took the time to meet us before our actual trip so Rufus could sniff around and meet her two dogs. That made us feel extra comfortable and allowed us to drop him off with the utmost confidence that he would be in a safe, caring, loving environment. We will absolutely be contacting Faelyn again the next time we are out of town. 10/10 recommend! Thanks, Faelyn!!”

“Zoe & I did a meet & greet with Stacey & her dog before booking & Zoe seemed ok with her. She has a yard for the dogs to run around in. Stacey is very personable! Stacey was great about sending updates & pictures. She included Zoe in any outdoor activity she & her dog went on. Zoe is nervous with new people, but Stacey said Zoe warmed up to her & her dog quickly. Stacey let me know that I may not have packed Zoe enough food (mom fail) & asked what brand I fed her vs. just feeding Zoe what her dog ate, which I greatly appreciated (Zoe did have just enough, lol). She gave me thorough rundown when I picked Zoe up. I highly recommend Stacey & Zoe will be definitely staying with her again.”
