I am a veterinary assistant and am comfortable with animals of all ages and sizes, as well as with responsibilities such as administering medication, walks, special diets, etc. I work and go to school part time. About: I’ve taken care of my neighbors pets multiple times a year, and they’ve recommended me to other people in need of someone to watch their babies. Pet care fits into my life daily as I have 2 cats myself. I’m used to doing everything a pet needs, and I am extremely flexible about schedules. I watch my cats to make sure everything is good and healthy every day. I try to spend at least 20-30 minutes just spending time with them, and showing I’m there for them. I do this with clients pets as well.

About: I have had pets all my life and looked after friend's and family's pets in the U.S. and Mexico. I love getting to know their habits and quirks and being their buddy, while they're people were away. I am a remote graphic designer and do landscaping. My schedule is very flexible and enjoy taking dogs for walks and sitting/playing with cats. I use Rover when I travel and know what it's like to be away from your pets. I love spending time with pets, giving them the extra care when their people are away. I think giving people the freedom to travel and work, and still take great care of their pets is very important.

About: I have a lifetime of hands-on experience with dogs. I've fostered several pups—one of whom I adopted—and truly understand canine behavior, needs, and comfort. Your pet won’t just be watched—they’ll be cared for like family in a safe, loving environment that feels like home. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine since I work a part-time remote internship with a flexible schedule. I'm home most of the day, allowing me to provide consistent care, attention, and companionship. Whether it’s regular walks, feeding, playtime, or just keeping pets company, I’m available when needed and always prioritize their well-being and comfort. In my home, I provide a calm, pet-friendly environment where animals can feel safe and relaxed. I stick to their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and any special instructions from their owner. I keep pets supervised, ensure they have plenty of enrichment, and create cozy spaces for rest. If caring for pets in a client’s home, I maintain their familiar surroundings and routines, keep the space clean, and give regular updates to ensure peace of mind. In both cases, I treat every pet like they’re my own—with patience and attentiveness.

About: I have taken care of cats, dogs, and more since I was born making this nothing new. I have pet sit before, but if I can handle being a nurse aid this is nothing. I am currently applying for other jobs however as of right now I am pretty much fully open. I have Monday Bible study and Monday morning church and youth volunteering. I am more than willing to come in early and late for your animals. I can walk dogs big and small and used to walk dogs that weighed around 45 pounds. I can also put animals in their crates if needed as well.

About: I’ve been looking after pets of all ages, breeds, and temperaments since adolescence, and now I have two young cats of my own and regularly look after and train two family working breed dogs. I am patient and will meet your pet where they need—I never take shyness personally and know your fur baby may just need a little patience and gentleness! I’ve worked with a respected local trainer for 5 years on Canine Good Citizen behavior and walking reactive dogs. So, I come with valuable dog training experience, especially for young, rambunctious dogs! (All of my training methods are force-free.) If your pet takes medications, I’m adept at administering multiple forms, including pills and liquid, and I am attentive about health care needs. Whether you have a high energy working breed, a little lap dog, or a mellow senior, I will give them the best care they could have that doesn’t come from yourself. I work full-time remotely as an education publishing editor; I am primarily available for dog walking in the weekday afternoons after 3 PM. I can make some special arrangements for walks before 7 AM on weekdays as well. I am generally available most days of the week for pet sitting, particularly for cats that just need someone to feed, check in on them, and spend time with them once or twice per day (morning, afternoon, or evening). I will never let your pet off leash outside your fenced-in yard or home. Your pet will never be without access to water. I will never leave anything potentially hazardous to your pet (food, chemicals, chords, etc.) within their reach. Your pet will always be supervised when eating anything, including chew toys/bones, and I will never feed your pet something you do not regularly feed them unless you have given me express permission to give them a treat of my own. Your pet will never greet another person’s pet so as not to provoke an incident or medical emergency. If your dog is crate trained, I will return your dog to their crate for their safety when I am leaving them.

“Tom was great with my pup! My dog has some anxiety/reactivity to other animals so I’m always apprehensive about having someone else care for him, but Tom has been very receptive to his needs. He has been kind and gentle which is just what my pup needs when first warming up to people.”

“Nothing but great things to say... Amanda has been walking Dash regularly for a month now. There is a definite benefit to doing this in general, but having someone who is trustworthy, reliable, and quite simply very good with my dog has made all of this a no-brainer. Amanda doesn't know this, she is probably reading it for the first time after I write it- but a friend of mine spotted her with Dash, not on request but by chance. My friend watched them for a bit from a distance, mostly because (my friend) couldn't believe there was a dog so similar to Dash.... I could go on but suffice it to say that Amanda knows what she is doing, follows my requests, and handles my border collie as a pro. That right there, for me, was the final bit of evidence I needed to fully earn my trust with Dash. FWIW, a couple other tidbits: Amanda took the time to explain, and display, the use of a prong collar to my gf- providing a level of comfort. She has shown knowledge and understanding of the basics, which are so important here. This isn't rocket science- walking a dog- but she has that "extra dog training" part. It may not be important to some, but it's important to me. Amanda clearly loves dogs. Dash clearly is comfortable around Amanda. 'Ruff said. (Haha.) Keep up the good work, and thank you for your time. :-)”

“Marilee has taken care of my fur baby while I've gone away on trips many times. My dog loves her Auntie Marilee so much she acts like she just wants to stay with her whenever I come back! Marilee has a calm, soothing vibe and takes really good care of my dog. It's such a relief to have a reliable, caring person to care for my pup when I go out of town. I know my pup is in good hands and I have no worries, which really helps me enjoy my vacation time away!
