Give me a bark! 📞 (or a text, whatever floats your boat) Note: Please disregard the posted "Response Rate" and "Response Time" on my profile, I was new to Rover at the time and did not know how to "Pause" my account before taking a hiatus before taking my old in-person job. I work from home/remotely, so I have tons of free time to dedicate to your pet's needs regarding walks, mental stimulation games, play time, and of course plenty of cuddles, and down time! About: I am a college student looking for extra income this summer. I pride myself on being a reliable communicator, a punctual employee, and having a heart for all furry friend- big and small! I have experience working with dogs of all ages, puppies through elderly! I’m currently working as a waitress part-time, typically beginning at 3:00pm. On days I do work, which is typically weekends, I am always home by 10:30-11:00pm. My mornings are always completely open, and I am an early riser! In my home, our priority was to never (if not rarely) be left home alone for more than 3 hours. This is a goal I implement in my pet-care as well. Furthermore, when it comes to walk, I understand this is some pets best part of their day! It is my goal to make it as stress-free, fun, and exciting as possible!

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember. For the past seven years, I’ve cared for my wonderful three dogs - two Great Danes and one Beagle. Before that, I had two cats with wildly different personalities. Let’s have always been an important part of my life, and I truly understand the bond we share with them! When I care for someone else’s pet, I treat them with the same love, patience, and attention I give my own. I’m home from college for the summer and I am taking some online classes! I’m available early mornings, during the day, or overnight and I’m happy to work with you to find times that fit your needs! I prioritize each pets comfort, safety, and routine, learning their habits and needs. I follow care instructions closely and treat every pet with the same love and attention as my own!

About: Hi I’am Tammy. I’ve been in the veterinary medical field for 15 years and am a Licensed Vet Tech. I’ve had tons of experience both with happy healthy young pets as well as seniors or special needs animals. I’ve spent most of my years in general medicine but have also worked several years in speciality including surgery, internal medicine, oncology and some ER. I am a fish tank keeper and a plant lady so let me know if that’s something you might need in your home. 🐠🪴 👩🏼 I also have a virtual assistant on my team who is also a Licensed Vet Tech. Her name is Jessica and she can help answer questions and get you all set up. 😊 I work part time in a specialty animal hospital a few days a week and mainly walk dogs the rest of the week. So you could say pet care is my entire life. Drop in visits: I try to stick to your pets routine as much as possible. They get their food and meds as instructed and extra time is left for walks and play time. Kitties get play time as well or if they prefer tv or just a quiet body in the house to sit and read to them that is also an options. I try to listen/pay attention to what your pet wants to do. Pet sitting in your home: I’m a fairly quiet pet sitter but love long walks outside and lots of backyard playtime. Your pets routine is the most important thing to me and I do my best to adjust accordingly with my work schedule.

About: I’ve had dogs my entire life, so I’m open to caring for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I also have firsthand experience with dogs who have medical conditions, including seizures, and I’m comfortable administering medication and providing calm, attentive care. I’m currently working part time for the summer so I have plenty of time to do drop in on any day of the week. I am available early mornings, midday, or late evenings. I’m more than happy to spend as much time as needed with the pets. I can feed, walk, play, and clean for them, as well as give medication on time.

About: When it comes to dogs or other animals, I am in it to complete the job thoroughly and professionally. I have had several different types of pets my entire life including dogs, cats, horses, sugar gliders, birds, reptiles, and bunnies. I’m OCD and if I weren’t surrounded by animals, life would be boring. I care for ANY animal no matter what. You can rest assured that they will be spoiled rotten in my care, within the guidelines that you provide. I am very careful when it comes to instructions given to me by owners and I carry out my duty that you have entrusted me with and I take it very seriously. You are in great hands and I would love the opportunity to be able to help you out. I work full time, M-F so if someone is able to have their animal let out in the middle of the day since I’m in Herndon for work, then I can be there for the animal in the morning and evening or overnight. I do what the owners ask of me in regards to their schedule and their needs. I usually travel to client home because I don’t have a home of my own that would allow more animals.

About: My experience spans 14 years of veterinary and pet care. I’ve worked in pet boarding, and multiple veterinary hospitals including general practice and specialty. I am Fear Free certified at the elite level and am a certified professional dog trainer through the CCPDT. My “9-5” is remote with flexible hours, so I am home all the time with the ability to accommodate you and your pet any day of the week. I want to let dogs be dogs! Based on your request, I would love to take your pet on hikes or long walks, go to a Sniffspot, do some training or strength exercise! I love using healthy treats to engage your pup and can even bring some homemade ones at your pup’s request!

I got my first dog eight years ago in high school and he’s the light of my life! I love hanging out with all types of dogs regardless of breed or energy level. Hablo español e inglés :) I am very flexible through august of this summer as I seek a new teaching job for the school year :-) I am not currently working so I can drive anywhere in town any day of the week. When I come to the house, I always make sure waters are full before I leave and gates are closed/secured. Ashley F.Star Sitter
“Ashley is the BEST! She has years of experience working with cats, dogs, horses, bunnies, and other small farm animals. She is patient with those that are more shy and is playful with the ones that want to run around for hours. She has taken care of ones with special needs, seniors, puppies, and can administer medication if needed. Ashley has pet sat my own kitty numerous amounts of times and takes the absolute best care of him, she sends pictures and notes so I don’t have to worry while I’m gone. Ashley is well organized and great at communicating which makes it super easy and convenient when booking with her. She will take care of your pets as if they are her own!! :))”

kate G.

“Kate was wonderful with my little handful. Highly recommend!”

Karen W.

“Karen brings her son and the two of them take my pup out every day. She obviously has fun and they are really good to her. I highly recommend her.”

Sasha H.
“Sasha would make a great dog walker because she is very responsible and a true animal lover. Sasha's attention to detail and diligence encompasses her hard working steadfastness. She is also fun, respectful, and outgoing, bringing joy all of those around her - especially dogs!”

Amy A.Star Sitter

“Amy was communicative and timely. Branson had clearly had adequate exercise when I returned. Thank you!”

Luisa D.
“Luisa has 2 pet dogs a 2 year old and 3 month old. She has taking good care of them and treats them with love”

Rose W.
“Rose was excellent with our two dogs and cat! She went above and beyond with giving us updates and I really felt like I could trust her with them. I will not hesitate to recommend her to family and friends! One of our dogs takes a minute to warm up to people but they seemed to get along just fine, the meet & greet was definitely necessary.”

Lindsey S.
“Lindsey is a compassionate and responsible young adult. She has a nurturing soul and a true love of animals, especially dogs. When Lindsey is taking care of our dogs, she ensures their basic needs are met, but also puts in the extra effort to spend time with our dogs making sure they feel loved and are not so lonely while their humans are away. She definitely consistently goes above and beyond and I would highly recommend her.”

Laurel J.
“Laurel is the kindest, most caring person you will ever meet! She is so good with animals and takes such good care of them! You will love her! She won’t let you down!”

Tammy T.
“Tammy is an amazing pet sitter. Our cats felt very comfortable with her. The nervous one easily took pills from her and, for the first time in years, didn't even overgroom (due to anxiety) while we were gone! Tammy took the time to make sure our skinny hyperthyroid cat ate enough, without his food being stolen by his sisters. She sent detailed updates after each visit and took some of the best pics we have of our cats. As an added bonus, she likes plants and helped with those too. This was our first long trip where I didn't lose any of my 100+ house plants. We will definitely be booking with Tammy again.”

Addison R.
“My dogs love Addison!! She is always so great with them and gives me little updates and pet pics so I don’t miss them on my trips. My dogs struggle a lot with separation anxiety but she helps keep them grounded and happy!”

Alyssa K.
“Alyssa dog sat for me and my family for nine days and when we came back, everything was perfect. The dogs were very well taken care of and everything seem to be in order. All the dogs had their medicine and had grooming when she was not at school. The longest that she was ever away from our dogs in the nine days was for school which at the time was about 3 to 4 hours and she continuously told me how bad she feels that the dogs are alone and I knew that when she got back to them, they were in good hands. She played with them outside in the yard and let them in and out at their requests. When we arrived back home and had Alyssa over for dinner to thank her for her overwhelming attention to our dogs, the dogs greeted her like a best friend which proved to us that she was responsible and very caring for animals. If you want somebody who is particular about how to take care of animals and willing to go the extra mile, she’s your girl.”

Nina C.
“To say that Nina is a phenomenal caregiver is an understatement. I have trusted her with many of my animals over the last year or two. Even for my nervous German shepherd who is fearful and I would consider a flight risk. I trust her as one of the people to take care of her if an emergency were to occur. Nina will take care of your pet as if it were her own, and I mean that wholeheartedly. She is extremely knowledgeable, especially with dogs. Nina has veterinary field experience and knows exactly what to do in an emergency situation, including knowing of nearby emergency facilities and their hours. She truly is a wonderful person, and I would highly recommend her as a caregiver. She is honest, reliable, kind, knowledgeable, and will follow every instruction you tell her to follow. Nina is wonderful!!!”
