“Connor looked after our family dog while we spent the day at St Michael's Mount nearby. Connor was friendly and enthusiastic. He communicated well before and during the day. Connor also took our dog for a walk on the beach and sent us pictures. Jasper looked very happy when we collected him and went back to Connor for cuddles even after we arrived, which says it all!”

“Leaving our mini schnauzer with Mevan for the day worked out perfectly. We got to spend a dog-free day in St Ives while Mevan did a wonderful job looking after Lexi. She is right near a lovely park and Lexi had two walks. Lexi seemed quite happy when we picked her up. Parking/drop-off was convenient and it all went smoothly. Mevan was very communicative through the whole process. I would use her again.”
“We booked Charlotte after finding the Rover App whilst on holiday. Charlotte's communication was very good and the whole process very easy. Charlotte had a lovely house and was very good with Jasmine and we felt at ease leaving Jas with her. We would not hesitate in using Charlotte again if we come back to Cornwall on holiday again.”

“Emily was super friendly and really responsive to all communication. My 8m old Lab is quite bouncy and can be a handful, but Emily was confident and cared for him incredibly well, despite his teenage tenancies. I would definitely recommend Emily to anyone looking for a calm environment for their dog.”

“We used Lauren as a last minute dog sitter for our dog Penny on our holiday in Cornwall and she was amazing! Penny seemed very comfortable with her and was clearly taken care of very well. Great communication and updates each day, Would highly recommend her to anyone needing their pup taking care of, thankyou so much to Lauren for being a lifesaver this week. Would happily use her again! x”

“First time using Rover and what a fantastic choice having Sarah. From the start she was welcoming and enthusiastic. Our dog had a great time out on the beach twice and happy with Sarah. Before hand Sarah gave us lots of beautiful recommendations for places where dogs are welcome which really gave us a head start for our holiday in Cornwall Cannot thank Sarah enough for making our dog so relaxed and happy.”

“Booked very last minute and were extremely accommodating for us due to this! Couldnt be more thankful! Freddie had alot of fun and was well looked after for us! Loved all the pupdates too!”

About: I hold a 4* rating with Cornwall Council for home dog boarding. I was brought up on a farm and have been around all sorts of animals all of my life. I have Buddy, a small Italian Greyhounf. I like to specialise in small dogs, and am happy to have dogs on an individual basis. Dogs are treated as I would my own, and have snuggly beds and blankets in all rooms! Plenty of walking and playtime will also be provided. I am currently at home full time so any dogs in my care will have my full attention! I intend to make this my full time job once I get settled in my new home. I will be council registered and will have full insurance. I have an enclosed front garden and an enclosed back garden which is paved. The gate can only be opened with a key code. I have various beds and crates if that is what your dog prefers.
“Leo has been fantastic, he agreed to look after Dave on short notice. He has been really accommodating and worked around us. Dave had a wonderful time with Leo and Bruce, thoroughly enjoying himself and he came back tired, relaxed and very happy which can be a challenge at times being a working breed border collie, he has a lot of energy.”

About: I’ve had dogs of all sizes my whole life, growing up I’ve always been keen to walk, feed, wash and care for them. I have most of my experience with boxers, French and English bulldog puppies from birth. I currently study at uni, so have lots of free time for short and longer walks, especially during holidays and weekends. I’m more than happy for any special arrangements you may need or a negotiable price to work for us both. I’m sure your dog will become comfortable and happy in my hands so you can feel safe and content with their care :) P.s much appreciated if I am able to bring my partner for longer house sits (of course we can meet prior) I’m currently studying geography at uni but have lots of availability around my schedule to walk or provide pet care, plus, my car for longer adventures! Although i am at uni and cannot care for your pet in my home, I can walk and pet sit in your own home in however ways you require

About: Growing up on a farm surrounded by dogs, cats, and various farm animals has instilled in me a deep love for animals. I take my responsibility as a caregiver seriously, holding myself to high standards in all aspects of animal care. I am particularly interested in understanding dog behavior, and I am skilled at recognizing signs of anxiety or discomfort. My commitment to providing a loving and attentive environment ensures that every animal I care for feels safe and valued. My part-time job as a teaching assistant in a primary school allows me a flexible schedule. My shifts typically last up to six hours, with some days being shorter. I start my day at 6 AM, giving me ample time to attend to my pets before heading to work. This routine ensures that I can provide consistent care, attention, and companionship to the animals, regardless of my work commitments. When caring for pets, whether at my home or the owner’s, I prioritize their comfort, safety, and well-being. My approach includes: • Routine Establishment: I maintain the pet’s usual feeding and exercise schedule to ensure consistency. • Environment Familiarity: If at the owner’s home, I respect their space and routines, ensuring the pet feels secure. • Attention to Behavior: I closely observe the pet for signs of anxiety or discomfort, adjusting my approach as needed to help them feel at ease. • Engagement and Play: I provide physical and mental stimulation through playtime and interaction, keeping pets happy and healthy. • Communication: I keep the pet owner informed about their pet’s behavior, health, and any concerns that may arise. This comprehensive care approach allows me to foster a trusting relationship with the pets, ensuring they feel loved and secure.

About: I grew up on a farm, surrounded by animals. I have owned dogs for many years, and trained my male Chocolate lab in obedience and agility and competed. I then got a female Rottweiler a few years later as a companion, who also I trained and did agility- but no competitions. After a few years without them, I got a shihtzu- moving to a small breed was very different- but amazing. Did some agility for fun only, she moved abroad with me - so I care for animals wholeheartedly. I groom her myself. I am an experienced handler and pet owner, who loves dogs all shapes and sizes. I am not working in August and part time from September, although can work from home. Therefore I am flexible with arrangements and ensure I am not away more than a few hours. I have a fenced in front garden, that is secure, as well as plenty of walkable routes around my home. I have a car to go for beach or woods walks.

“Katie was absolutely brilliant with our Luna! She was super flexible and responsive to messages and Luna had a really lovely time - enabling us to enjoy some of the sights of Cornwall that dogs can’t go to! Thankyou so much”

About: I have a senior dog who is now 15 years of age back at home. When at home I enjoy and make sure to take the time to meet her needs by walking her, playing with her, feeding her and comforting her in times of need. I feel content when spending time around dogs and want to be able to push my love for dogs onto other owners dogs when taking care for them. I am a student who is in 3 days a week. I live in a house alone meaning I am able to look after a dog all day on my days off. Being Wednesdays, Thursdays and the weekends. I am also free in the evenings of Fridays and sometimes Tuesdays. I have a fenced garden where the back door can be left open if needed. I have a spare bedroom if the dog needs space and have a local field to take the dog for plenty of walks.
“Runa instantly felt at home with Rhianna. She was very well looked after and came home a very happy girl! Rhianna sent lots of lovely photo updates and messages on how runa was throughout the day so I knew she was in safe hands. Thank you!”

Lauren is a great choice if you are wanting to go to the Minnack theatre, as reasonably close by. Good communication and flexible with availability. My dog coped very well being with her, even though he had never met her before. I was nervous, as this was my first time leaving my fur baby with someone we didn't know. But Lauren was so relaxed and friendly, it all felt smooth and comfortable. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use her again.
