“This is the first time we have left our dog Tia with anyone for a week, but now we have found Marnie and Eddie we wouldn't hesitate to leave her again. We had regular video and photo updates of Tia's mini holiday, so this helped us to enjoy holiday, know that see was being well cared for. Since we've come home, Tia's been very quite and we think she definitely missing them. We can't highly recommend and thank Marnie and Eddie enough, for giving Tia a loving home for a week.”
About: Myself and my husband have grown up with dogs and have embraced them into our family life.Mainly large, male dogs some with challenging behaviour issues. We have recently lost our much loved dog in a tragic accident and consequently we have started to look after friends and family's pets and have really enjoyed this and want it to continue. We live in a nice, semi rural area with a multitude of walks on our doorstep. We have great flexibility as we are self employed and work close to home. We are early risers so would be able to take your dog out for a walk before work, and/or take your dog with us, or pop home regularly if required. We are a self employed couple with great flexibility. We have a fenced garden and yard with access to many local walks. We would treat your dog as if it was our own and maintain your boundaries and preferences around behaviour and routine.

“Maddie and Alex boarded our ten month old Doberman puppy again last weekend so we could attend a wedding. When Roxy arrived at their house her tail began to wag and she was eager to get into the house, and play with them both. She was happy to see them knowing she would be looked after. She went on lots of long walks in the countryside and was very well cared for. I am fussy who we leave Roxy with, but would highly recommend this young couple to look after your pet. About: My name is Jen, I am a farmers wife & work from home. The farm is based in the heart of the Ribble Valley with lots of good walking spots! The garden is large and secure. I have working dogs but sadly no longer a house dog. Visitors would need to be cat friendly ! My entire life has revolved around animals and still very much does. My days are spent on the farm and working with our show ponies. From 2013 I ran a very successful dog groomers called Hair & Hound which was based at Mrs Downsons for 5 years. The business grew from strength to strength with customers trusting the shop with their loved ones. Weekend in the summer are available depending on horse shows - best option is to throw me a message 😊 Being a farmer i am based at home, apart from when I am on the school run ! Any visitors would be let out at 6 am for wee’s & poo’s and generally go to bed at 10.30 pm. The garden is fenced. I am out and on the farm at 6 am. As I am based from home our animals, as you can imagine, get A LOT of attention through out the day! Dogs would not be allowed up stairs & would sleep in the kitchen.

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a young child, I have had dogs all my life and started looking after other peoples pets at around 16, I have two of my own large rescue dogs that come with their own issues so I am well experienced with animals with nerves. I understand pets that are shy as I have looked after my aunties pets that struggle with anxiety and we have built a bond overtime. I have experience with slightly larger breeds such as male staffies and pit bulls as I have grown up with them since I was 7, I have also looked after puppies before (less than 1 years old, not less than a month old etc.) I am willing and capable to care of a young pup. I have looked after many cats and understand some are not as sociable, I am patient. I am no stranger to being nibbled by puppies and giving them extra play time / longer walks to tire them out, I also understand older dogs need a more relaxed approach. I have recently finished college and I have much more spare time, as such an animal enthusiast I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. I wake up early and complete daily chores around the house and feeding / walking my own pets. I also sell online so I will often be posting parcels, I am 18 with a full driving licence and my own vehicle so transport is no issue! I am available all throughout the day. I have been trusted multiple times with peoples house keys and being able to let myself in / lock up their homes to watch over their pets. Our garden is fenced off and pretty decent space wise, we also have toys at home that have never been touched as our dog is not interested, we have a large crate if necessary and other dog beds, we have a guest room that can be used for your pet. We always have treats and multiple water bowls available. The back garden is safe and we do not take the dogs on the front garden unless they are on a lead.

About: I've grown up with dogs, and since 2007 have owned my own - I currently have four dogs (and five cats). I have worked as a dog walker for years, and have recently retrained to work as a Dog Training Advisor. I work full time as a self-employed Dog Training Advisor, Canine Behaviourist and Dog Walker. I am available to work Mon-Fri, but do offer some weekend drop-ins, walks and training sessions too. As a Dog Trainer, I take the time to find out about your dog - their likes, needs, age, health, abilities and any behavioural issues. Although I do offer multiple dog walks, this is only ever done after dogs have been assessed for temperament. Dogs are kept on-lead until engagement has been built up, and are never let off lead if it is your request not to do so.

About: We are a retired couple, home all day every day so your dog will never be alone. We have 2 male cocker spaniels, Angus & Hamish, (neutered) who are 3 year old brothers and very friendly and playful with other dogs. We have a small garden, but go on walks to the local field or woods every day. Any chasing behaviours of my cats, any growling behaviours towards cat or child & any negative behaviours in general that I deem a health & safety risk to the household I have to turn your dog away I’m afraid.

About: Hello! Unlike some other sitters on Rover, i have a year of dog sitting experience and work experience in a kennels, cattery, riding school and small animal vet clinic. I have been caring for dogs ever since 2012 when i was around seven years old and have also had some experience with rabbits and birds around the age of 4 years old. I am the type of pet sitter to give some advice to owners if i feel it may benefit the owners and the pet. For example, if i see your dog eats too quickly, i might recommend a slow feeding bowl to reduce chances of things such as GDV happening to your dog. I have helped two owners during my time as a pet sitter as i have noticed medical issues in their dogs such as signs of a urinary infection or epulis. If you do not want advice, please let me know beforehand as i do not tolerate rude behaviour. Im currently available at all times so whatever type of schedule you would like for your pet, i can work around. When a dog is in my own home and is sleeping over, i sleep nearby to make sure that they are comfortable and safe as that is my first priority. I give every dog at least one walk a day (or more if you would like) In my own home, i have an attached house which is kept clean at all times and it has a back garden with tall fences and no grass. Its a relatively big garden with lots of plants and vegetables around. I do have a dog of my own in the house who’s an eight year old Sproodle who is playful but is no threat to other dogs as she loves to greet them no matter the age. She is gentle with puppies and sleeps in her own bed in the kitchen. In my house, i live with two sisters and my mother. There is a lovely park at the end of my street very suitable for dogs and a massive playing field a few streets up from that too, there I could let your dog off if we have built that trust and relationship between ourselves. I live with my partner, my 6 month old baby boy and my chihuahua Elsie. My partner loves animals and he's brilliant with our dog, he's always loved with dogs and I can assure you that your dog will be warm welcomed and made to feel at home. I am generally quite flexible with my time, I work part time and in my spare time I look after my 6 month old baby boy and my chihuahua Elsie. I am mostly available between the times 1:30-4:30 pm then available again 6:30- 8:30. I can take them with or without my chihuahua Elsie, it is totally your preference but she is friendly and probably wouldn't take much interest in your dog unless they are similar. I am comfortable administering medication, in forms like tablets or through a syringe. I am not medically trained but if it has instructions and is simple enough I would certainly have no issues doing it. I know how important it is for you and your dog to trust and feel safe with your dog walker, so i would be willing to meet up with you first before my first inital walk with your dog. I have always been very good with dogs and It is my aim to make every furry friend feel happy, loved and cared for in my care. About: I have taken care of dogs and cats since I was a young child, I have had dogs all my life and started looking after other peoples pets at around 16, I have two of my own large rescue dogs that come with their own issues so I am well experienced with animals with nerves. I understand pets that are shy as I have looked after my aunties pets that struggle with anxiety and we have built a bond overtime. I have experience with slightly larger breeds such as male staffies and pit bulls as I have grown up with them since I was 7, I have also looked after puppies before (less than 1 years old, not less than a month old etc.) I am willing and capable to care of a young pup. I have looked after many cats and understand some are not as sociable, I am patient. I am no stranger to being nibbled by puppies and giving them extra play time / longer walks to tire them out, I also understand older dogs need a more relaxed approach. I have recently finished college and I have much more spare time, as such an animal enthusiast I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. I wake up early and complete daily chores around the house and feeding / walking my own pets. I also sell online so I will often be posting parcels, I am 18 with a full driving licence and my own vehicle so transport is no issue! I am available all throughout the day. I have been trusted multiple times with peoples house keys and being able to let myself in / lock up their homes to watch over their pets. Our garden is fenced off and pretty decent space wise, we also have toys at home that have never been touched as our dog is not interested, we have a large crate if necessary and other dog beds, we have a guest room that can be used for your pet. We always have treats and multiple water bowls available. The back garden is safe and we do not take the dogs on the front garden unless they are on a lead.

About: What I offer I will be offering walking dogs from your door and I will be sitting dogs I will feed them if they need it I can put meds in if they need it. But I can’t do injections. If I look after your pet over night I will take it on night walk feed them and make sure I take some time to play and then relax on sofa in front of tv. About: I have grown up with dogs since I can remember. The dogs I have had throughout my life have always been medium or large breed dogs but I have looked after my friend’s dogs for them over night and these are all of different sizes. I currently have a 5 and a half year old Irish Setter who is very chilled and well socialised. He has shared his home with many dog visitors as my friends will always bring their dogs for visits, sleepovers, walks, or I will dog sit for them. I feed the dogs in separate rooms, dogs can have full roam of the house and can sleep where they are most comfortable. I will cater to the dog’s needs and want the dogs to feel as comfortable as possible. I have had my friend’s dog who had separation anxiety not want to ever go up the stairs- me and my dog slept downstairs for her stay as her safe place was the chair. She slept right through each night with us just on the settee across from her. As I work in an high school I am more suited to weekend dog sitting than weekdays - unless In the school holidays as I work in a school. I get up early and take the dogs out when it is nice and quiet to places that are safe for them to run around or explore on their lead. I also go back out in the evenings before bed. The amount and length of walks can be tailored to the dog, I love walking and so does my dog but we understand other dogs may not want as much exercise and this can be catered to as well. My garden is secure and mud free as it is artificial grass so the dogs can roam outside as much as they like whatever the weather and can get plenty of toilet breaks. They will always be watched when in the garden. My dog is known as being a King because that is how he is treated and your dog will be treated no differently when in my care, they will be my number one priority. I work full time so weekends and school holidays are more suited to our schedule. I am able to be home for 3:15pm on a Friday. I will tailor my weekend to the booking and ensure I am home all weekend so your dog will not be left alone. Please enquire about school holidays also. I have a secure garden that is spacious with a very friendly Irish Setter who will be patient with your dog but will also teach them to be calm in the house and settled.

About: We have taken care of dogs and cats since we were both in our teens, we are both animal lovers and will treat your animals like they are our own. We have have both owned a number of different breeds from small dogs such as Jack Russell’s to big dogs like huskies and we have a lot of experience with staffy’s. We are both trained in basic doggie first aid and CPR as well as fully insured ⛑️ so you can rest assured your dogs are in safe hands. Pet sitting and walking is my full time job and my partner works part time so we are both available most of the time. We don’t walk on Sundays. I have a back tat that has high walls and a high fence. We have the best of both World as we do not currently live together so we can accommodate dogs that do not get on with other dogs as Ella can stay either of our homes. We are fully insured for Dog walking and pet sitting and we can provide the proof of this.
