“Rachel does a great job with my little cat, "Chitty". Not everyone gets facetime with Chitty as she is pretty particular about who she will or will not meet. Rachel has broken that barrier and Chitty comes out every time to meet and greet.”

“I highly recommend her, she is very responsible, she arrives on time and takes good care of your pet, she sends you photos of the moment, which I thought was very nice of her”

“Emma was awesome!!! She was so kind and understanding about how anxious I was to leave my kitten alone for the first time. She sent so many wonderful pictures and thorough updates. She’s so great!”

“Brooke is wonderful! Reliable, caring, kind, and detail oriented. Communication is excellent! She normally responds within a few minutes. Follows up on every specific care request for our very complex older chihuahua. Brooke also sends updates and photos every visit. We could not have been happier!”

About: I’ve always had a love for taking care of animals and I got to pursue my passion in high school by taking the Whitehouse Vet Med program to become a certified Vet assistant. I’m currently working on getting into the tjc Vet program they have as well. I have plenty of animals at home as well as many of my friends. They would sometimes ask me questions about their pets regarding their health or they would ask me to care for them while they’re gone. I’m almost always surrounded by pets. For house sitting services: Text me for pricing arrangements! I am negotiable depending on where you live, your ideal budget, and all! I have two dogs at home so if they were coming to my home with me, I’d first put them up or take them somewhere else so the pet I’m caring for can get comfortable and used to the new setting. Then I will do all that is instructed by the owner whether that be following their food schedule, walking, or letting them use the restroom outside.
“This was our second time booking with Lisa, and we had another great experience! She took very good care of our kitties and always updated us on how they were doing. We will definitely be booking her again for our next trip!”

“Jacie has watched our two pups many times and we’ve come to trust and appreciate her greatly! The dogs are well taken care of and they enjoy her visits! Jacie, thank you for always being there!”

“Aleisa is such a pleasure to work with. Friendly and engaging. Puts Wendy’s timid personality first when interacting. Definitely makes time to make us feel comfortable with leaving and Wendy feel safe when we are gone. So grateful to have found her.”
“Kayla was a really really good sitter she took care of my girls for me very well and made sure things were good in my home! I hope she continues to do this and I pray that I’ll be able to keep her as a sitter for future visits ❤️”

About: I've taken care of dogs of all kinds, from as big as Great Danes to as small as Chihuahuas. I'll make sure your dogs are healthy and happy. I am taking online summer classes at The University of Texas at Tyler so I have a lot of flexibility throughout the day for your pets. My Dutch shepherd is very low energy. He gets let out to go to the bathroom every couple of hours and gets fed twice a day.
“Kimberly was punctual. She sent pics of our fur babies smiling and playing! And she even checked for a package delivery we were expecting! We’ve already booked her for another drop in visit!!”

“Gladis was amazing! She worked very well with our dogs, making sure they were fed and walked on time. She also was very good with communication and followed all of our instructions perfectly. I look forward to booking Gladis again!”

“Elizabeth has been at my home 2X a day to take care of my baby girls, Jolene and Savannah, for 5 days. I always got wonderful pics of them and she answered any questions I asked about them!! The shy one Jolene, warmed up to her! She is wonderful! I highly recommend her and I will definitely request her the next time I go out of town!!”

About: I am an animal lover though and through. I have professional experience working at vet clinics, humane societies and zoological facilities. With this experience you can feel relieved in knowing your pet will be cared for in the best way possible. I work part time with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. I am available whenever needed on my free days! We can work together to figure out a plan that works best for all parties. I can customize care plans based on individual needs. I understand that every pet is an individual with different likes and care needs. Assuring that our furry family members get the care they need is top priority.

About: I mostly have experience with cats but throughout the years I have house sat friends dogs and we got along great. I know that most dogs and cats would benefit from seeing a friendly face in the middle of the day and I hope to be that face for your best friend. I currently walk 2 paths in my day to day. One week I'm working hard on media editing and production and the next week I'm working a little less hard on media and focusing more on taking care of my 2 sons that I have fifty-fifty custody of. However, I have enough flexibility that I can stop by and be that extra friend to your furry little ones in the middle of the day, for about 30 to 60 minutes, during your work week. Seeing how I am mostly someone that does visits I will do everything I can to keep your little furry ones safe in your home, yard, ect... I will also do my best to follow any specific instructions you have for spending time with your pet to keep them comfortable and safe. Please feel free to give me details on what your little one likes and enjoys so that I can make sure that they have a good time when I'm there.
About: I've had a love for animals since I was little. I will treat your pets as if they were my own, and nothing less. I enjoy being with animals and taking care of them. I go to school and work part time, so my schedule is kind of packed, however I am always open to drop in visits and taking care of them during the weekends I have 2 dogs and a cat myself, so I have experience taking care of pets and keeping them safe. However, I will make sure to always go with what you are comfortable with.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tyler. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
