About: What sets me apart is my hands-on experience with difficult breeds, anxious dogs, and intensive medical care. I just recently had to say goodbye to my own dog a few months ago and saw him through many complex medical treatments, which has made me highly attentive, patient, and confident following detailed care routines. I’m comfortable administering medications, monitoring mobility or behavioral changes, and adapting care based on each dog’s needs. I truly love dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, and I always prioritize safety, consistency, and compassion. Pet care used to be apart of my everyday routine and it's something I miss very much. Because I manage my own schedule, I’m able to be flexible while still providing consistent, dependable care. For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on following each pet’s routine as closely as possible. I take time to understand feeding schedules, walking preferences, leash behavior, and any special instructions ahead of time. During visits, I prioritize safety, calm energy, and attentive care, while also checking food, water, litter boxes (if applicable), and the home environment. I always provide updates, photos, and notes so pet parents know how their pet is doing.
About: My family dog was sent to a month long “doggy boot camp” and my whole family and I went once a week to learn all of the training cues including “heel”, and “place”. We then had to practice the cues every single day until they became second nature to her. To this day she is very well behaved in those commands and more! I also have been the “go-to” for years to many of my friends when they go away and need someone to watch their dogs, or whenever they are at work and need someone to take their dog for a walk while they are gone. I work from my phone so I am extremely flexible. I usually am at the gym training or coaching from 1:30-5 ish but other than that I’m pretty available! I have a dog that I walk, feed, play with and do lots of cuddles with :) She is my best friend. I would love to do the same with yours (only if they like cuddles)! I am good with big and small dogs.
About: I’ve owned multiple dogs and cats my entire life. I love animals and they tend to trust me and I legitimately enjoy taking care of furbabies. I can do everything from taking pets on walks, giving pets attention, feeding and providing water. I can send you photos of your pets care while your away. I am a retired teacher and have been a pet owner all of my life. I am trustworthy and a safe person to have in your home.

About: I have experience in pet care for 15+ years and currently work for a pet care company in Savannah that I used to manage for! I currently dedicate 100% of my work time to pet care!! Pet care is my full time job and I’m extremely passionate about caring for all kinds of pets!☺️ I am well acquainted with how important timing can be for babies especially those who need to go outside to potty breaks ASAP or have medication needs! I have experience pilling animals and giving injections as needed! I have worked with special needs cats before, and pride myself on befriending even the most difficult babies, though I feel they are only difficult because they need more time to trust people☺️💖
About: I’ve had pets my whole life. And I have walked dogs for neighbors in the past. I love animals and love to help them in any kind of way! I am currently looking for a full time job so I have a lot of open availability. I’m very flexible and drive my own car. My apartment is very safe! I have to keep it baby proof for my cat anyway so I am very careful about that. I am very clean and always clean up after myself.
“Rachel was willing to meet up with prior to her visit and even add a dog on when I found out my friend’s dog was staying with me! She updated me on their behavior and sent a photo. They looked happy as ever and were so comfortable with her!”

“Alexandra was amazing with my dog. She is reliable, trustworthy, and professional, and my dog absolutely loved her! I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in such good hands and would ask her to watch my dog again without hesitation!”

“Natalie did an amazing job taking care of my Molly girl! Molly was abused in the passed and can be timid around new people, but she loved her right away! Thank you again Natalie!!”

About: Hello my name is Sarah, I’m trying to learn how to better myself and helping those around me as well as nurturing the love for your animals and my clients is my first step! I hope to build a solid foundation of trust for us both so you feel safe, the animals I care for feel safe as well as myself! As of this moment I’m hoping to create a healthy schedule for myself to provide care during the weekdays Monday-Thursday! I plan on making it a priority to spread positivity and connection while also providing myself with time to explore and have my own separate happiness as well outside of work! I will only be available to come to my clients at the moment, I don’t quite have the means to provide at home care, and am enjoying that separation of having my own space for the moment. While I’m caring for them at your home, I aim to provide a good long walk normally around 30 minutes but also being aware of the animals limitations and own boundaries, so if they are showing me they would rather have a break one day or a little extra another I will try my best to interpret and listen to them! Of course I will make sure they have water after there work out, some comforting loving up on and time to cool off! If there are boundaries that you as the owner prefer or have in place, we can have a honest and open conversation about your expectations as well as mine and go from there to find out what works best for both of us as well as the animal!
About: Hey there! I’m an experienced and responsible dog sitter who truly loves spending time with pups of all sizes and energy levels. Whether your dog loves long walks, belly rubs, or just hanging out in the backyard, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and entertained while you're away. I’m comfortable with all breeds and temperaments, and I’m happy to follow any training rules, feeding schedules, or medication routines you have. I provide regular updates, lots of playtime, and the same kind of care and attention I give my own pets. Your dog’s tail will be wagging, and you’ll have peace of mind. My current work schedule has long lunch breaks throughout the week so it gives me plenty of time to play and hangout with your fur babies! When caring for pets, I prioritize their comfort, safety, and routine—whether they’re staying in my home or I’m caring for them in theirs. I take time to get to know each pet's personality and preferences so I can provide personalized attention and care.

About: Hey, I'm Taylor and I have been a pet sitter since my 10th birthday. My love for all things furry has brought me a plethora of animals over the years, much to my sister's dismay. Squirrels, ferrets, dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, turtles, fish... Pretty much anything that crossed my path became my new fixation. I love to take care of, train, and bond with animals. There's an ongoing joke in my family that I take care of the "lost boys". 3 legs on chemo? Back legs stopped working? Insulin shots every 12 hours? None of it phases me. I'm happy to do anything for any fur baby. Medications, injections, and simple grooming are all included with my prices. I can accommodate for all pets. Please let me know at booking what your needs are and we can create a care plan together. My goal is always to make the stay as seemless as possible. Keeping your pet on their schedule relieves stress and makes the stay a happier experience, perfect for peace of mind during long getaways. I am lucky enough to work from home out of my stained glass studio. My flexible schedule allows me to cater my schedule to your pets stay. I offer in-home sitting and drop-ins to make for a more comfortable stay for your pets. I am happy to offer light house keeping including mail, plants, and always pet waste clean up.
About: I grew up around dogs and cats all my life. Getting my first dog Truffles five years ago and added four cats since then to our family! I am taking my final class online and besides that I’m very free. I live my long-time girlfriend who would be able to take care of my pets at home if I needed to stay the night. I can easily drive to any areas in the Savannah area. I have safely walked and take care of many dogs of all sizes. I will treat your pets like my own no matter the species.
“Mara was exceptional!!! Since the first moment we texted I knew our kittens were going to be in good hands. She was fun and loving!!! We came home to two happy cats thanks to Mara. I can’t wait until next time:-:)”

About: Hi! I’m Alex, and I’ve grown up with both cats and dogs, so caring for animals has always been a big part of my life. I also have experience taking care of neighbors’ pets while they’re away, helping with feeding, walking, playtime, and making sure they’re comfortable. While I’m at school, I also spend time volunteering at a local dog shelter, which has given me even more experience working with dogs of different personalities and energy levels. I’m responsible, reliable, and will treat your pets like they’re my own. I’m happy to send updates and photos so you can feel comfortable knowing your pet is well cared for while you’re away! I’m a senior in college with a flexible and easy schedule, which allows me to dedicate plenty of time to pet care throughout the day and week. I’m able to plan my routine around walks, feeding times, playtime, and check-ins to make sure pets get the attention and consistency they need. In my client’s home, I follow the pet’s normal routine as closely as possible to help them feel comfortable while their owner is away. I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of walks, playtime, and attention, and that their space stays clean. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so owners know their pet is happy and well cared for.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
