About: Our family dog just moved out with my daughter, so my grandpuppy 😂. Thankfully he comes to stay regularly for extended visits! Most of my photos are of him, truly spoiled & loved. I have been pet sitting since I was 12 years old. I worked for a dog walking and pet sitting company for 7 years and I also worked for 2 dog daycares and a mobile vaccine clinic for dogs and cats. I do not have fenced in yard but I keep my current dog on tie out or 50ft lead. Very quiet not normally traveled area around house with big yard to play. At clients home depends on environment there. About: I am a speech-language pathologist in Greenfield, MA and love working with animals on the side when possible. I started dogsitting down in Rhode Island in 2014 while I was in graduate school. I've also grown up with dogs in my life (a black lab/german shepard mix and a yellow lab). I have some experience with puppy training and enjoy going on walks with and exercising dogs. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I can remember. I've grown up having a dog. My first dog was a black lab/German Shepard mix named Pretina. I would play with her, take her on walks, go hiking with her, and many more activities. My second family dog, Piper, was a yellow lab who I had since she was a puppy. I helped in her puppy training and have enjoyed all the previously mentioned activities with her as well. Many of my friends and extended family have also had dogs which I've enjoyed playing with and caring for. During my undergrad career, I petsat for my professor's yellow lab and thoroughly enjoyed caring for him when I was so far from my own dog. My experience administering medication I am comfortable administering medication, though I would like to be shown how to administer it and practice with the owner before sitting for the dog. I have some experience administering insulin shots to a cat. I work in schools, so I am generally available before 8am and after 3pm on weekdays during the school year. During school breaks and summer, I have more availability. I care for your dogs following client preferences. I will let dogs out into a fenced in back yard, crate when left alone at home, keep on leash for walks, etc. as indicated by owners. In general, I would default to keeping dogs on leash during walks and not letting them out on their own unless the yard is fenced in.
