“Our dog Willie had a great time. She sent pictures to us during the day which we loved. He had a nice big yard to play in with other dogs and her kids (Willie loved her little boy). We will definitely be using her in the future.”

About: With hands-on experience from working at an animal shelter, I’ve cared for pets of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I’m active, strong, and trained in reading animal body language to ensure safe, patient care. I love providing enrichment and helping nervous pets feel calm and secure. As a devoted pet parent to one dog and two cats, I understand how much trust it takes to leave your pets with someone else, and I care for every animal as if they were my own. I currently work from home, so my availability is wide open! I love having furry company during the day and can easily adjust my schedule around your pet’s needs. Morning, afternoon, or evening — I’m flexible and always happy to make time for extra belly rubs or walks. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I make it a priority to learn every detail that matters — from quirks and favorite toys to the words and calls they respond to best. I ask plenty of questions upfront so I can follow their routine exactly, keeping them comfortable and stress-free. I respect each pet’s personality, whether that means lots of playtime, quiet companionship, or both. I also treat every home with the same care and respect as my own, and I provide regular updates so owners have peace of mind knowing their pets are happy and cared for.
“Cindy was so responsive, and willing to watch my dog a bit last minute. She sent great updates throughout the day, and Jax left a very happy guy! Cindy is great about taking the em dogs on walks, and not just keeping them cooped up all day. I will 100% use Cindy again, and I would recommend her to any family or friends!”

“I was so pleased with the care sadie received i would highly recommend them for anyone who needs peace of mind while on vacation thank you again for your care will absolutely use them again”

“Michael was super friendly and welcoming. Ziggy is only 4 months old and I was a little nervous since I hadn’t had anyone else watch him for that long before. Michael sent pictures and updates which was awesome. Ziggy was feeling shy his first day away from home which was a surprise to me, but I could tell that he’s in good hands. Thank you for taking care of Ziggy :)”
About: My husband Tim and I both grew up in households where our cats and dogs were treated as part of the family. Our neighbors, friends, and family members trust that we are a phone call away to either go to their homes to feed and take their dogs on walks or to have them stay with us overnight. We have experience with training puppies, caring for older dogs with special needs, and taking care of animals with allergies and special dietary needs. We want to extend our home and hearts to your beloved pets and use our personal experience to ensure they feel secure and loved in your absence. We can provide daily exercise, administer medication, and even help with potty training. We are always available to receive calls and texts when you are away, and we will update you as often as you would like so you can see what your pet is up to throughout the day and enjoy your time away from your furbaby without worrying that they aren't receiving the attention and love they deserve. We are home full-time (Lisa works from home and Tim is retired) and are available for all your pet's wants and needs. We live in a clean, stress-free, spacious home in a quiet neighborhood with our two teenage kids, dog Griffin, and cat Monk.

“Paula was honestly the best dog sitter we could have ever asked for. She is humble, kind, and was absolutely wonderful with Cappucino. She was very, VERY patient with him, through his stubbornness, active personality, and especially his barking. I couldn’t ask for any one better to care for my dog. Cappucino is stubborn and it isn’t easy to get him to trust you, especially if he barely knows you. But somehow, Paula managed to win him over! I was so happy when I found out they were starting to become friends. She send us updates, messages, and pictures throughout our entire stay, and is surprisingly quite a nice photographer! I recommend Paula to everyone, and would give her a 10/5 if I could. You won’t regret having her care for your pup!”

“My 8 month cavapoo Winnie loves to spend the day at Rebecca’s house! When I come pick her her up she cries to go back inside. She enjoys playing with other puppies and interacting with the family through the day! The house is clean and the dogs are watched the whole day so it’s a nice safe environment for your pups. Highly recommend!!!”

“Corrine was an excellent sitter for my pup! It was my first time leaving him and she made me feel super comfortable and kept me updated with pictures while I was out. She has a great backyard for dogs to roam and play. Her kids are adorable animal lovers and my pup made some friends. Highly recommend Corrine if you need a sitter!”

“Loved Kateri and her awesome back yard! My one dog is anxious and doesn’t like a lot of people so her fenced in yard was appealing to me. Easy to just let her in and out and not have to deal with her grumpiness (my dog.. not Kateri) She kept me updated though the day and let me know the anxious one warmed up to her towards the end of the stay. I can’t wait to take my 2 dogs to her again and have a nice little beach day to myself! If was exactly what I needed. And on kind of a short notice too.. she was very flexible. Thank you again , Kateri! Bamma and Archee say hello! And Thank you too!”

“Archie usually takes awhile to warm up to people and can be kind of stand offish until then. However he IMMEDIATELY took to Patricia and her husband, letting them pet his face and going up to them for cuddles. I've never seen him do that before! He loved them right away and they were great! Will def book again”

“Seriously could not thank Lauren and her family enough! They saved me last minute when I became sick and needed Salem to burn off energy and even helped me when I locked my keys in the car ? She kept me updated and was super understanding the entire day. Will absolutely be sending Salem to hang out with Lauren and her boys again! He came home happy and tired!”

“It was so nice to be able to drive my husband to the eye specialist and be able to go in with him. I know that Jeffrey had a wonderful day hanging out with Denise and didn't miss us for a minute!”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of August 2026, there are 251 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Tuckerton. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Tuckerton commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NJ ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 251 sitters in Tuckerton, 82% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
