“Merry was fabulous! She helped us out in a tight spot and was able to care for our 2 buns and quail on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. All the pets were well taken care of. We would definitely book with her again!”

“This is our second time using Karlie & we couldn't be more pleased. She's super sweet and our dogs love her. She takes great care of them in our absence & goes above and beyond. It's a great feeling being able to travel and know your animals are being taken care of without worrying!”

“I had total confidence in Mary! My cat warmed up to her right away. He is usually shy around strangers but greeted Mary each day she came. Thank you Mary! Highly recommend!”

“Lauren does such an amazing job!! She doesn’t just take care of our animals, she also takes care of our home and makes sure it’s secure. Always brings in packages that arrived while we’re away, always makes sure our home is safe and the door is locked when she arrives & leaves. Lauren always goes above and beyond - every time! We’re so blessed to have met her through Rover 💕”

About: Hi! My name is Brandy and I’m a pet lover obviously! I love my pets and will love your pets just the same as long as they are with me. I’m a mother of a 5 year old human baby and a mother of a 3 month old German Shepherd named Genji! We just moved out here from Greenville and I’m so excited to start sitting again. I’m currently at home with my son for the summer so, I have a consistent schedule to take care of your fur baby! If I do start work it will be from home Food is given twice a day (breakfast and dinner) unless requested more or less by the owner. Potty breaks are consistent here until we finish the floors. For adults I would say potty breaks at average of every 2-3 hours
About: I’ve owned pets my entire life, and then when I went off to college I volunteered at an animal shelter for all four years. Working with animals is something that I love doing with a passion. I’m the go-to pet sitter for all friends and family. I’m currently working a part time job and have a very flexible schedule. This gives plenty of time to focus on your pets, and their needs. I typically prefer to take care of pets in their own home where they already feel comfortable and safe. It’s important for me to try and follow their typical routine as closely as possible. I make sure to give them lots of attention because I know the stress of their owners leaving can be a lot.
“Carolyn Amanda was a perfect fit for my Sophie. Sophie is a rescued dog who is elderly, skittish, but very sweet. She needs very gentle care. A soothing voice and a soft touch is needed and Amanda was just that person. Thank you, Amanda for taking care of my most delicate of babies.”

“Payton happily cared for our two kitties for the week we were out of town. She also brought in our mail and put out garbage can for collection! It was nice to know our kitties were in good hands and it was fun to see photos from her visits.”

“Chelsea did an amazing job taking care of my two dogs while we went out of town for Memorial Day weekend. She was always on time, communicated well and always sent thorough descriptions of her visits with pictures. She went above and beyond while taking care of my boys, from drying them off when they got wet from dew on their morning walk, to cleaning up a pee accident one of them had. As someone who has had a bad experience with another sitter taking care of my dogs, Chelsea was a breath of fresh air and definitely sets the standard for great pet care. If you need someone reliable who will take care of your pets like her own, then Chelsea is definitely the sitter for you!”

We have had senior dogs that have required medication administration, including insulin. I also volunteer at the heart Humane Society in Georgia taken care of the cats and the dogs that are waiting to be placed into a forever home. I currently work par-time so I have plenty of time for pet care. I do have other family in my home that can care for my pets if I am needed for over nights. I love caring for pets it makes me feel rewarded when pets respond positively with me. I have 2 dogs in my home both weigh approx. 50 pounds. Our yard is fenced in so they go in and out. I take them on walks and hikes to nearby waterfalls. They are fed twice a day, just dry food once and with shredded chicken the second time. I also bath them and trim their nails and brush their teeth. I would be happy to assist where I can with your pets routines.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
