I create individualized lessons!
I use a variety of methods including games, patterns, obstacle courses, clicker training and scentwork activities to keep my training fun and engaging for you and your dog. I like to establish behaviors with your dog and then bring you into the training to decrease frustration and maximize your time! Since I come to your home and your neighborhood, I'm able to suggest specific management details. These details help make your pet's environment suitable for successful training.

What to expect
Consultation
**Consultation appointments (Follow up appointments cost less.) are mandatory for all new clients. I will meet with you in home or via Zoom or phone call to gain insight into your concerns and goals as well as a game plan for my visit to your home. Your in home consult will take an additional hour and will include your written training plan and first lesson. We will start training during your consultation.
Sessions
Your first appointment is a thorough assessment and a trial of you & your pet's response methods and types of reinforcements/rewards. Follow up appointments last about 50 minutes and include a review of your last lesson including your questions and comments. If everyone is ready to move forward then,I present the next lesson and practice with your dog. I then teach you and coach you to perform the skill with your dog between sessions. All clients are instructed to text me between appointments. I do check in with clients if I haven't heard from them.

First I do a professional assessment of your pet and your thoughts and goals! I use Positive Reinforcement and methods that are currently understood as the most effective AND least " Intrusive , invasive (= stressful, forceful, overwhelming" for your pet AND for You!

Your first appointment must be an up to 90 min. consultation. Follow up training appointments take 1 hr. I'm available for these appointments on Fridays and Saturdays and additional times when I'm available.
