Goodest pup!

What makes my approach different is that I focus on the whole picture—not just obedience. I look at why a behavior is happening and help dogs learn better choices through positive reinforcement, while also coaching owners on timing, consistency, and communication. I’m not just aiming for quick fixes—I’m focused on creating lasting behavior change and a stronger relationship between dogs and their owners.

What to expect

Consultation

A typical consultation starts with getting to know you and your dog. I’ll ask questions about your dog’s history, behavior, routine, and any specific challenges you’re experiencing. From there, I observe your dog and how you interact together. Then I create a customized training plan using positive reinforcement, and we begin working on practical skills you can start using right away. I also make sure you feel confident by coaching you through the process step by step.

Sessions

Typically in your home

A typical session is hands-on and focused on building real-life skills. We start by reviewing progress and any challenges since the last session. From there, I guide you and your dog through exercises using positive reinforcement, making sure timing, communication, and technique are clear. Each session builds on the last, so you and your dog continue making steady, lasting progress.

Positive Reinforcement

My training philosophy is based on positive reinforcement. That means I reward dogs for making the right choices—like sitting calmly or responding to a cue—using things they love, such as treats, toys, or praise. Instead of correcting or punishing unwanted behavior, I guide the dog toward better choices and set them up to succeed. This approach not only teaches dogs what to do, but also builds confidence, reduces fear, and strengthens the relationship between dogs and their people. I believe training should be clear, consistent, and enjoyable for both the dog and the owner.
