About: I love animals! I was raised around animals all of my life. My parents had a hobby farm, complete with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, cows, emu's, sheep, ducks, pigs, etc. We bred and raised dogs of all kinds: huskies, dalmatians, chihuahuas, beagles, labs, golden retrievers, pugs, and so on. Since my childhood, I've helped feed, care for, and even administer medicine to our animals. I moved to Lexington KY in the Fall of 2010 and decided to take care of others' furry friends while they're away. I started and ran my own dog walking and pet sitting business for 7 years. I ended up closing down to do some traveling. But I sure miss getting out and spending time with my furry friends. Whether you're at work, on vacation, or just out for the day, it will be my Joy to take care of your pets. From midday walks and home visits, to puppy breaks and house sittings, I'll treat your pet as my own, and make sure they get plenty of lovin'. “Do unto others as you’d have them do unto you.” That’s what I try to live by. I work part time and would have lots of time to care for your babies. My dog and I have a daily routine and would love to add your pet into our day. I have a large fenced in yard with lots of room to play. I would make sure to ask boundaries about your home and pet, to meet the pets needs to your expectations.

About: I have animal shelter experience and as a result, have worked with several different types of animals with different personalities and am very flexible and capable of working with very different acting animals. I have a very open and free schedule so I'm able to come and check on the pets as often as needed. I can spend long periods of time with the pets when needed. In the clients home, I will care for them according to the clients standards and by following instructions down to the letter in order to prevent issues.

About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. I have fostered, pet sat for friends and family many times and recently lost my own dog of 13 years. I am happy to help with any pet needs! I have recently graduated from college and am working part time working towards full time! Pet sitting and care fit well into my routine as I typically work 4 hour shifts at a time leaving great time to check in with pets! My weeks are flexible just reach out if you have any questions! I try to have what is best for my animals including fenced in yards and proper food, cages, and medicines. About: I have a lot of experience with dogs, cats, and birds. I have been pet sitting for the same family for the last 5 years since their jobs and family require them to leave often, but they want to make sure their animals never feel neglected by this. I have administered medication for older cats and dogs, fed and rode horses, learned how to intervene safely in the event of a dog altercation, and love just being around pets of all types and sizes. Hello! I am currently a farmer turned student, recently back in college after a few years as an organic vegetable farmer. Now I’m balancing the demands of finishing my degree in evolutionary biology with my love of animals, plants, yoga, and simply being in awe of nature. Petsitting allows me a flexible job while I’m in school and gives me a chance to connect with the community in another way. I love the chance to meet everyone’s furry companions & learn more about people outside of my daily rhythms. I am an avid cyclist and hiker, so am happy to take along any pet that's down to adventure at the nearby trails. I’ve watched houses with up to 7 dogs at a time, so I’m very comfortable with multiple animals and giving each one the attention they need.

About: I have 4 dogs of my own, 3 are rescues and I wouldn’t trade them for the world. I’ve also taken care of friends and family’s pets while out of town and used to dog groom with a friend of mine. I currently work a full time job in Boone, Nc. I would love to be able to take care of your fur babies full time instead! Three of my dogs are crated while i’m not home but after Im home they get to run around inside and they are walked before i leave, and while Im home. Once Im doing this full time they will not be crated as much. I do not have a fenced in yard so they are walked instead as much as possible! But could also put up a temporary fence if needed!

About: I grew up in Wyoming where I was a member of 4-H for ten years. I raised pigs and rabbits for show and also grew up with two cats and a corgi at home. I have experience giving medication to each of these animals and even some experience giving injections. My husband, Orlando, and I love animals and work most of our Rover appointments together. At home we have two cats and a hedgehog! I’m pretty flexible and almost always have time in the mornings and in the evenings after 4 to stop by and check on/walk/play with pets. I am happy to housesit during the week or on weekends. While housesitting I am happy to make time for daily walks and try to be attentive to when your pet needs to go out. I’m very flexible and try to leave every home as I found it or better! If your pet has toys I will always engage in play time and try to keep them happy and entertained.

About: I have mainly taken great care of my family and friends fur babies but wanted to make this a job for me because I absolutely love doing this! Im currently not working due to hurricane Helene. I am pretty much free anytime of the week. I’d prefer week days but don’t mind weekends if needed! I have two Dogs of my own a Golden Retriever. Her names Stella, she’s 8 months and did I mention she’s very pretty in pink! Then I have the most handsomest boy Flynn. He is an Aussiedoodle who is 3 and FULL of energy! Just built a fence for them in the backyard so they can play their little hearts out. I wanna take care of your dogs just like I would take care of my own. Every dog is to pure for this world and deserves the most loving care imaginable!!

About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a full time potter who just opened an art gallery in downtown Blowing Rock. I run the gallery Wednesday-Sat 11-5 and Sunday 1-5. Beyond those hours, I can make myself available to spend time with your pet(s) either at my home or yours, as frequently as is needed. If your pet needs a potty break midway through my shift, I may be able to accommodate by having a friend cover my gallery mid day to run to let them out. Otherwise, I’ll just be sure they get a good thorough walk before and after my shift. I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals.
