“Breanna went above and beyond for my kitty! She sent detailed updates and pictures throughout her time here, and knowing she was getting all the love and attention made it so much easier being gone for so long. My cat even ended up having an ear infection and is terrible with ear drops, and she gave them to her for about a week with no problem. I will definitely use Breanna in the future, thank you so much!!!☺️”

“Therese is a rockstar. My senior dog immediately took to her and enjoys her company. She makes sure everything as it should be, and asks questions of anything seems out of place.”

About: As a former junior dog musher I have experience caring for everything from four legged athletes to total couch potatoes. I've cared for seniors, puppies, and all dogs in-between. I even have some experience with cats and birds! As an all around lover of pets and a dog owner myself, I understand that nothing is more important than knowing your furry family member is cared for while you're away. My schedule is typically very open as my other obligations are based online as a computer technology student. I am available any day of the week and most holidays. I will always walk dogs on a leash with a secure through the handle loop hold if they are outside in a non fenced space.
“Whitney started doing drop by visits and has been great to work with. She is patient and caring and my girl is really warming up to her quickly. I would recommend her to a friend or family!”

About: I’ve taking care of dogs and cats my whole life. I live in an apartment and have two cats. I love dogs and I can’t have one here in the apartment complex. So this is my way I can get my needs met. I’m a very caring and dedicated person to my clients and their dogs and cats. I have two cats and they love sitting with me and watching TV. I mean it they watch TV with me. My one cat has to smell every food that I eat. She won’t always eat it but she has to smell it or she won’t leave me alone. Love that girl. I live in an apartment but I can easily drop in feed, walk them and play with them. Staying overnight is fine with me as well.
“Absolutely great having Kylee take care of our cat. You can tell she really loves and cares for animals and it showed. She went above and beyond in her service and couldn’t recommend her more!”

About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 9 years old when I got my first puppy Roxanne. Growing up we also had farm animals and I took care of them as well until I moved out and every once in awhile when my family is out of town. I also house sit for a family over the years every other week for 2 years who had 2 dogs and 1 cat since they worked a job out of town. I house and pet sit for all of my friends on a normal occasion. When I do something I do it to the best of my ability and build a relationship with all of their pets and make them my own friend! My schedule is super flexible so I am able to work with your needs. I do all of my work from home. I am able to provide any transportation for your pet or pets. I am also able to stay at your house or stop by several time throughout the day. I have 2 cats and a dog I know how important it is to take care of them and be present for them.Luckily I have a girlfriend who is able to stay at home and give them attention as well. I care for my own pets by having play time and I feed all my animals 2 times a day and they have water all day. With Clients pets if ok I like letting them outside throughout the day to go play since I am able to take plenty of breaks throughout the day. Anything that the client says or needs done at certain times for their pet if there is certain feeding times or if they are on a schedule I will just follow that for them.
“I was pleased with Karsyn taking care of my Maggie while I was gone for a few days over Thanksgiving, She arrived on time and stayed the hour that she was assigned. She made sure to send me pictures and updates on the days she was here. I used her as a drop in caregiver for just a few days to cover during the days my regular sitter wasn't available. The only problem I had was when I contacted her I didn't realize her profile information hadn't been updated. I wanted someone to do overnight coverage which she wasn't available to do since the birth of her little boy. It all worked out as I had another gal covering the rest of the time. She and Maggie seemed to get along just fine and she was reliable. I would use her again without hesitation.”
“Sarah was great and the dogs seemed to really like her! She sent tons of photos of my dogs while I was out of town and followed all instructions I had left for her! Will definitely rebook and highly recommend!”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, I have a 1 year old still acting like a puppy so I love times weather it’s cuddling, playing outside, going on walks, or light training:) I love to make dogs feel happy and comfortable when their owners are gone as I would hope the same for my dog :) I’m not as experienced with cats but comfortable with them! Im currently enrolled in school at aveda institute in Tempe, so I have hair school from 9am-5pm Tuesday - Fridays so whenever works around that I’m more than happy to help! Make sure they are comfortable and feel safe:) I have a fence in my yard so usually safety isn’t a concern when being outside, but if that’s a problem at other clients making sure I’m watching and keeping an eye for opportunities that could be unsafe
About: I’ve loved animals for as long as I can remember. Growing up with a dog and 13 pet birds taught me that every pet has their own unique personality and deserves patience, kindness, and unconditional love. Earlier this year, I lost my own dog, who was such a special part of my life. Caring for other people’s pets is a meaningful way for me to continue sharing the love I have for animals. Spending time with dogs genuinely makes me happy, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your pet in someone else’s care. As a dental student, I’m responsible, dependable, and detail-oriented. Whether it’s walks, playtime, cuddles, sticking to feeding schedules, giving medications, or simply keeping your pet company, I’ll care for them with the same love and attention I’d want someone to give my own. My goal is for you to have complete peace of mind while your pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I’m currently a dental student, so my schedule varies throughout the week, but I intentionally set aside free time to care for pets because it’s something I truly enjoy. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, companionship, or weekend care, I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise. I’ll always communicate clearly, send updates and photos, and treat your pet as if they were my own. I know every pet is different, and I enjoy getting to know their unique personality, routines, and favorite activities. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers quiet companionship, I’ll make sure they feel comfortable, loved, and well cared for. I’ll follow your instructions closely, keep you updated with photos and messages, and treat your home and your pet with the same respect and care I would expect for my own.
About: I absolutely love animals especially dogs. I had an adorable dog growing up named Freddy. I've taken care of family and friends dogs, too. Your pets will be well taken care of while you are away. I'm currently an elementary teacher, so dropping in on my way to work and again on my way home or later in the evening is not a problem. I have weekends off and long stretches of breaks around the holidays. My cats are strictly indoors and understand how important that is to cat parents. I will follow whatever you need for your cats. I understand that some cats have strict wants (needs) and I will make sure they get done.
About: I have various experience with dogs and cats from veterinary clinics, volunteer work at a shelter, regular pet sitting opportunities, and from being a pet owner of two dogs and co-mom to a kitten. These experiences have allowed me to acknowledge when a fear free methods can be applied, what behaviors to monitor, and how to watch for heat exhaustion since living in a desert environment. I am also qualified to administer medications if your pet requires it. I work weekly at a veterinary clinic for dogs and cats. I take care of my own pets when home. I volunteer at a local animal shelter twice a week or three times a month. I make sure my pets have enrichment. This could be tossing a toy, exercise, practicing different training commands, or feeding a treat. I pick up after them, refill food and water bowls, give them a bath when necessary, will go for a drive to change environment, and lots of cuddles.
About: I had an English pointer who just recently passed away due to illness. I’m not ready for a new pet so I’d love to share my love with your fur baby I work full time from home. I can adjust my schedule pretty easily. I can come early or late. I have the weekends off. My schedule can be flexible. I would prefer to go to the clients home and stay or walk their pet. I’m an avid hiker and love logging miles. I would be happy to stay overnight or just walk.
“Dj and his wife Lori were an absolute godsend dropping in and walking Princess. She is new to our home and learning to be more secure while we are at work. They are both extremely professional, caring, and provided us with reassurance and pictures. They even dealt with Princess breaking down her kennel door and rigged it so she couldn’t escape again. Thanks for helping out two nervous pet parents!”

I have lots of experience with all types of dogs and am more than comfortable with taking care of yours. I will be doing overnight stays at your, or my house, dog walking, and will meet any of your needs that you and your pet may have. About: As a dedicated and compassionate dog and pet sitter, I prioritize providing a safe and nurturing environment for pets while their owners are away. Whether it's through house sitting, drop-in visits, or joyful walks, I am committed to meeting the unique needs of each furry friend entrusted to my care. At 24 years old, I bring several years of experience, honed during my tenure with Brew City Pet Services in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before relocating to Arizona. I understand the importance of reliability and creating a bond of trust with both pets and their owners. I am eager for the opportunity to prove myself as your dependable and loving pet sitter, ready to provide the best care possible for your beloved companions. I currently am off on the weekends and work from home Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. So I am available any of those days. I currently don’t have a pet of my own physically here in Arizona but I have a mini dachshund back at home in Wisconsin. So I absolutely love animals, especially dogs. I follow all boarding rules from the owner. If the pet needed to stay in my home I would follow whatever rules the owner requests.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tortilla Flat. On Rover:

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
