“Debra was very accommodating with changes to the schedule and it shows how much she loves animals. My dog loved her and she made sure he was comfortable and safe while I was away!”

“Lauren did a great job with our crew. We have a Great Dane and three Frenchies. We were able to enjoy our time away without worrying about them. We returned to an extremely clean house, happy pups, and peace of mind knowing they were well cared for. She provided photo updates and was very responsive from the beginning. We booked on short notice and she was able to accommodate quickly. We would absolutely love to have Lauren watch our pups again in the future.”

About: I am always the go to amongst my friends, coworkers and acquaintances to watch their fur-families. I grew up with Rotties & Huskies. Now I have a friendly Chuhiuaweeniie, that loves all fur-animals. Recently took a break from Rover for almost a year to pursue my career. Now I’m back and excited to see you all again! I work remotely and have the flexibility to care for and play with your furry little one. I can come and go as needed to accommodate your pet's needs. Additionally, my cat is an indoor/outdoor cat and is usually only inside for sleeping. I can provide 2 walks a day and lots of play time or snuggles depending on their energy levels. No medium or small kennels needed, please provide at least one toy, and food.

About: I am the definition of a pet lover!! All my life I have owned all kinds of pets, including dogs, cats, lizards, frogs, snakes, and birds. I’ve been pet sitting since I was 12, I made money as a young teenager by passing out flyers in my neighborhood offering walks and play sessions. I’ve cared for many different breeds and sizes, and as an adult I have raised and trained 2 puppies, a Pit Bull and German Sheppard, and adopted four seniors. I currently sit for family and close friends regularly. I have a 9 year old chihuahua mix named Tucker and a chameleon named Skittles I am currently working full time but I am off Thursday-Saturday and off at 2 on the days I do work so I am available and time that I am not at work! I will treat your furry family members the same way that I treat mine, my chihuahua Tucker lives his life like a king! He sleeps in the bed with me and my wife every night and we have a fenced in dog park at my apartments so he gets to run around and play fetch and then when we are done he expects his massage session with my impact massage gun, we also have a grooming station on site so he very much enjoys his weekly baths. At my dads when I pet sit for him I take his German Sheppard Elsa on long walks and play hide and seek with her in the house(she always wins) My sister has a Golden retriever puppy so when he isn’t sleeping he is wanting to play chase and fetch in the back yard.
“Brandy was phenomenal! She sent multiple updates every day along with pictures of our boys while we were gone. She took such great care of our dogs and our home. We will definitely use her again in the future. She is very professional and amazingly sweet. I could tell our boys were happy to have her here while we were away.”

About: Animals have always been at the center of my life, as a child my mom and I showed dogs almost every weekend. With that came the responsibility of feeding, socializing, grooming, and cleaning up after furry friends. In those years I met many different breeds and learned so much about the needs and habits of dogs. In my adult years, I never lost that love, always having pets of my own and finding such joy in caring for them I decided to start looking into making a career out of what I love the most. This led to a job with Petco where my knowledge of animal care was extended beyond just dogs and cemented that working with animals was something I couldn't live without. I still help out at my local store with stocking and am in school for veterinary technology. In the past I have worked at a veterinary hospital giving comfort to animals who come to visit, drawing blood, assisting in appointments, walking dogs, general cleaning duties, and providing company to animals staying for extended periods of time. I am able to administer medication to animals during sitting if necessary and am also a huge fan of fetch/ tug and all the other fun doggie activities for our more active friends. Although my love for dogs is beyond measure, kitties are my weakness, no furry friends are excluded. Please reach out for any of your pet sitting or dog walking needs! I currently work full time but do have flexible scheduling. I am available for morning walks or drop ins between 8:30-11 on most weekdays. I am available on weekends for walking or sitting.Available on week nights . If needed I am flexible and can accommodate other days. I would never accept a job where I did not believe I could give your furbaby adequate time. I know how important routine is to animals and I will follow any instructions given to tee. I do not offer care in my home as my apartment does not allow but when I care for your animals they will be treated as if they are my own. There will be no lack of love or playtime and I will be sure the safety of your pet is my top priority while they are in my care.

I have 2 delightful little dogs one of which is extremely high energy and is crate trained. I am used to dogs with behavioral issues. I am well versed in any medical issues that may arise.

“Rachel was on time, communicated well, and left my house tidy. She sent me plenty of photo updates of my dog. I was completely comfortable leaving Buoy in her care. She was even flexible with me when I had to push her arrival time back twice. I would book with her again.”

“Makayla loves animals and it is apparent when you see her interact with them. Maverick is a puppy and she did a great job playing with him. Sia, the cat came out to see her (which doesn't always happen) and Shandy loved her as well. She took good care of my house and it looked the same when I came home as when I left it. Thank you Makayla!”

“Mari did absolutely amazing job with my Bella. We were gone 13 days and I got constant updates and pictures. Bella was treated as Mari,s own baby. Bella had no issues or accidents. Our house was left spotless as well. I can't thank Mari enough for a marvelous job she did. I felt like a relative was staying with my Bella. Mari cares for animals as her own children. I highly recommend her services to all dog parents. 🐕”

About: With over two years of experience house sitting for friends and family—often for extended periods—I’ve earned a strong reputation for being dependable, respectful, and truly dedicated to the pets I care for. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life, from energetic puppies to gentle senior pets, and I’ve developed a deep understanding of their needs, routines, and personalities. What sets me apart from other sitters is my ability to provide both companionship and specialized care, especially for older pets who need a little extra patience and attention. Whether it’s administering medication, sticking to a feeding schedule, or simply offering comfort and snuggles, I treat every animal like they’re my own. My goal is always to keep pets happy, safe, and stress-free while their owners are away. I am currently working part-time! But my schedule is completely up to me and flexible. The good thing about the job I work at is I get to create my own schedule! As long as I am kept in the loop with the people I provide services for dog sitting, walking, and care will always be my top priority! I treat every home and pet I care for with the same respect I’d want for my own. I always follow routines closely—whether it’s feeding, walking, or giving medication—and make sure pets stay safe by double-checking doors, gates, and anything they might get into. I’m clean, organized, and careful to leave the home just as I found it. Most importantly, I take time to understand each pet’s needs and personality so they feel comfortable, calm, and cared for while their owner is away. Trust and safety are always my top priorities!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 306 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Tiny Town. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Tiny Town walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Tiny Town maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tiny Town choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Tiny Town. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
