“We always feel like our babies are in good hands when we leave them with Rhonda! And Rhonda is so good to work with. We always come back to a clean house and happy dogs. It's no wonder that she's booked up months in advance!”

“Emily was the best with our 7mo old Weimaraner, Dodger, while we took a week-long vacation. She was consistent, reliable, sent us pictures/updates and walked him daily. We would absolutely recommend Emily and plan to use her again in the future!”

“Denver was great, and we will definitely be reaching out to him in the future. He took pictures, gave updates, and made sure the dogs weren’t chewing up anything they weren’t supposed to. When we got home, the dogs were all relaxed and happy. Thank you, Denver!”

“I can not absolutely rave enough about Jenn and Dana. We have two Elderly dogs that need that extra love and attention especially while Mom is away and these two ladies absolutely crushed my expectations! From the meet and greet to the see ya later!! My dogs and cat absolutely fell in love with them, attentive, and communication was fantastic! If you need a sitter and wanna take the anxiety and stress out of if definitely get in touch with these two ladies!! thank you both again Lucy, Coco and Chruch loved the visit!!”

“I love when Paula stays with my Boston Terrier (Frank.) I come home to a calm sweet dog who is played out and has been loved. Paula takes super wonderful pictures of Frank happy to be with her. Paula is the best!”

“Our pups had a safe and fun week with Shelby. She made sure they were fed, exercised and got lots of love and cuddle time. Our youngest pup who is still pretty shy with new people warmed up to Shelby very quickly.”

“Sean did a wonderful job and treated the boys so good. Our dogs are a little difficult and one of them is very shy. Sean was able to create a quick bond with him and they loved him! Will be using him again.”

“We had a great experience with Diana. I would say it was one of our best using the app! She helped us out with just two week notice for a four-night stay watching our two cats. I'm not going to lie, we have some pretty specific instructions (e.g. opening windows at certain times and feeding our outdoor cat) but not only did she do them, she also communicated when she did. We always knew she would send photos and never had to ask! It really put us at ease as we were on our trip. We would love to make her our go-to sitter!”

“Ayla is AMAZING!! My pup loved his day with her. She is great with communicating and provided many updates throughout the day with pictures and videos. Will definitely be booking again!”

“We didn't know Hailey before booking her on Rover, but we will definitely use her to watch our dog again. Our dog is high-energy and high-maintenance (he has to be watched carefully because he chews/eats everything!), but Hailey was easy-going and seemed to genuinely appreciate our dog (and all his quirks!). She was easy to communicate with and did everything we asked.”

“Erin was great with Rowan! She showed up on time was very communicative and sent pictures! We had a great experience with her watching him and our home. Rowan is still in training and she followed his rules and worked with him to continue his training! We will use again and you will be happy with Erin, she is great with dogs!”

“I’m more than happy with Alysse’s service! Het attention to detail, professionalism, and friendly demeanor truly made a difference in my cats & my experience. The care and effort she puts into making sure everything was perfect. Her dedication to her work is evident, and it did not go unnoticed. Thank you for going above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with the service. 🙏🏾”

About: Not only have I grown up around dogs my entire life, I was a dog trainer for five years and have experience as a dog groomer as well. Dogs have always had a special place with me and I have been the go to pet sitter for my friends and family. Looking forward to bringing that care to you! I’m currently working full time without a consistent week to week schedule. That being said, if your request is within a month please reach out as I have my schedule 3 weeks in advance and we can discuss if I meet your needs. If it is past 3 weeks out, I have the ability to have some flexibility in my shifts to best suit what is needed! With my background in animal care and dog training, I have experience dealing with all varieties of dogs and cats and I love getting to know them and their unique personalities! My dog, Kai, is very important to me and I know how much trust matters when having someone check in on him and my goal is to be that person for you and your pets!
“When a last minute work trip came up, Tony helped out significantly with my two furballs. They seemed to have been happy to have him stay with them and overall, the experience was really good!”

“Aaron was fantastic with our zoo! We received pictures and updates each day about our 3 dogs and 3 birds while on vacation. He ensured they had food and clean water each day and even tackled the insanity of our feathered escape artists and overly excited shepherd. House sitting he definitely had his hands full but took great care of them and left the house just as clean as we left it. Communication was fantastic and we would definitely use him again!”

About: I’ve always been an advocate for animals. Their innocence, loyalty, and dedication to humans is unwavering so I try to give them love in return. I just left my 9-5 to per-sue what makes me happy and still make money. Caring for animals will give me the ability to spend more time with mine also. I have 3 dogs in my home so I would care for your pet in your home. Plus I feel that pets are more comfortable in their own homes. I have a live in dog sitter so my pets always have someone with them giving me the time to help other people with their pets.
“We loved having Caitlin watch our furries! It was awesome to be able to leave our home and them in her care without worrying. One of our dogs gets anxious, one is shy at first, but both warmed up to her as they could tell she was a wonderful human friend. We could barely tell she had been staying at the house were it not for the two happy and well cared for dogs that greeted us when we got home. Can't thank her enough, she is fantastic!”

“Jericho was great with my two pups! They were so worn out when I get home after spending a weekend with her. She was great at communicating. Will definitely use her again.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Adams
Karen is AMAZING! She cared for our home and, most importantly, for our two older dogs - both of whom are on meds. She played with them with bubbles, which is a huge hit with our two and kept in contact daily with lots of great pictures! Our dogs were torn between my husband and me and Karim when we got home -and THAT means more than words can say. ❤️ I cannot recommend anyone more highly!

This is the second time we have used Karim for pet care and we fully intend to use her from here on out anytime we have to leave. I cannot say enough positive things about her. She takes the utmost care of your home and your for babies while you are away. Our fur babies love her, and I cannot recommend her enough.

As of August 2026, there are 710 sitters on Rover offering House Sitting across Adams. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Adams walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Adams maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Adams choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Adams. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 97% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
