“My cat, Tubs is older and has some pretty serious health issues so I was a little nervous about leaving her home when I went out of town but I could tell when Julia came over to meet her that she was in great hands! Tubs ran over to her right away and they hit it off from there. I appreciated the text and photo check ins throughout my trip and was able to enjoy my time visiting my sister knowing that Tubs was with someone who was not just doing the basics but also playing with her, spending quality time and letting her be her cuddly self, and keeping an eye on her pain levels and meds.”

“Chris was great! He dropped in to watch my cat Sienna for 3 days while I was gone for Thanksgiving, and he was quick to respond for all communications regarding scheduling and keys. Thanks again Chris!”

About: I have personal and professional experience with animals. I volunteered to walk service dogs in training year round for a local nonprofit service dogs organization. I was eventually hired and served as a volunteer coordinator and then promoted to coordinate events. I met inspiring dogs and people helping people. I have a natural connection with animals and am here to provide my service to the community, caring for animals and people. Part of caring for them is learning what makes them unique and how to create homeostasis. I can provide an observational report with training suggestions for you upon request. I look forward to working together soon! I currently have flexibility in my schedule for caring for local animals. I am open to a weekly training schedule (limited space availability). I can provide feedback for ways to create a more harmonious environment and relationship between animals and persons. If there are any behaviors of concern I will observe and provide information. I am available weekdays and weekends and have plenty of energy to care for your animals! I have my own transportation and can plan for care of animals at and around your home. I will follow whatever routine your animals are accustomed to.

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since middle school and have over 7 years of experience with pups and cats of all ages and temperaments. As a landscape architecture student at Virginia Tech, I love spending time outside and staying active—whether that means long walks, hikes, or just backyard playtime. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me for years to walk, feed, bathe, and love their pets like my own. I treat every animal with patience, joy, and genuine care. I currently take classes from 8 in the morning until 12 pm, so I am available from 6-7am and 1-6pm M-F and 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday! I do my best to make your pet feel comfy and cared for, whether I’m hanging out at your place or taking them for a walk. I’ll follow whatever routine you’ve got and use whatever leash or gear you prefer. If your pup needs to be crated at certain times, I’ve got no problem with that—and I’ll make sure they’re settled and relaxed. I’m also comfortable giving meds if needed, just let me know the details :)

About: I have been pet sitting for many years. I have cared for dogs, cats, birds, and even a chameleon. I really have a special affection for dogs. I connect with them and they with me. I have friends whose dogs freak out when they see me after not having seen me for a while. I take them on hikes, play with them, and do whatever is necessary to keep them in good health while in my care. I can see that all your dogs needs are met, including medications, special foods, treats, and a good night's sleep. I have a fenced-in backyard where your dog and mine can frolic while I keep an eye on them. I always supervise and dogs aren't left on their own.

“We met Deborah when we needed a sitter for our high strung Jack-Chi. She took him in with open arms and he felt right at home with her. She posted pics of his exercise adventures and set our minds at ease. She is a true Doge lover and we plan to ask her to take care of him again as this summer's business will have us on the road again.”
