About: Over the years I've cared for the pets of family friends and relatives. From taking pups on walks & play session to drop ins for cats. Making sure I'm following dietary need for each pet. Getting to know the different personalities of each animal I come across is my passion. In my childhood home I was able to experience caring for puppies until they became elderly. Though most of my experience is with pits. I was blessed to care for a doodle mix & a shih Tzu in their last years. I respect all animals and their space. I currently work full-time 3 days a week with 4 day available to care for your furbabies. Saturday- Monday is my work schedule. Tuesday-Friday I am up by 7am cleaning my home or visiting my parents. By 12pm the rest of my day is free. I can do evening drop ins (after 5pm) or overnight stays on the days I work (leave by 4am). Am very flexible during the week. If you're in need of a sitter/ care giver for family or business trips. In my home or the client's home I will follow the set schedule the clients have for their pets. My home has a fenced in backyard where I can take elderly or less fit pups to play and potty. I also live in a dog friendly neighborhood where I can take your pup on walks. I do require a harness and leash set per pet with a portable water bowl to keep them hydrated on walks. A breakdown of allergies or sensitivities each pet has. As well as a bed or crate for them to sleep in overnight. At the client's house I would like to do a walk through of the property and learn the habits of their pet. This will give me an understanding of how to properly care for each individual pet in and outside of the home.
About: I have had multiple animals of various types in my home since birth. I enjoy life with pets and have know nothing else. I have experienced all stages of their lives. For 5 years friends and family have trusted me to walk, feed, and sit for their pets. I am recently out of high school. I have lots of free time and could spend loads of it with your pets. I am very flexible with availability I prefer to care for your animal in the safety of their home. I can also take pets to the dog park if they are happy to do so.
“Stephanie was great - very available and responsive, kept me up to date every day we were gone (even when that was days of mostly “the food magically disappeared overnight and poop appeared in the correct place, so I’m confident your invisible cat is alive”), and extremely flexible when I texted her in a panic asking her to do something extra for me. And I was never less than highly confident that she’d take great care of him.”

“Lauren was consistent with our twice a day drop-ins even after getting a huge amount of snow on day 2 of checking in on my 2 kitties! She took time to make sure their litter was clean, they were fed, and played with them. The report card photos were a treat we looked forward to after every visit! Will definitely book her again in the future.”

“Donna was wonderful! She was very reliable and very friendly. My one dog had an issue and she communicated it immediately and was very helpful in resolving the issue.”

“Megan has been available at the last minute for us a few times and we are so appreciative! My pets are well cared for and Megan has been so kind. She always sends pictures so I know they’re taken care of.”

“Davene is a wonderful cat sitter! She just took care of my three kitties over Thanksgiving. I appreciated how quick she was to respond to my request and her offer of an initial visit to meet the cats and get our instructions in person. She was very gentle and sweet with the kitties, and I could tell that they really liked her. Davene followed all instructions and left the place neat and clean. I highly recommend her and look forward to booking with her again.”

“Sharon helped us with our kitty during a week vacation, She was great and right on time every day. It is a great relief to be away knowing that my lil furry baby is being taken care of. Thank you Sharon for caring about our kitty!”

“I am so grateful for Catharine. She’s so communicative, responsible, and kind. We feel so lucky that she cares for our cat when we travel. It gives us such peace of mind. I look forward to having her come back next time.”

Profile picture is myself and my girl Luna! I am an elementary special education teacher who is looking to make a little extra money on my summer break. I am typically available at most times in the morning and evening Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Though I do tutor some mornings from 10-11AM. Wednesdays I am available before 2 PM and after 3:30 PM. I am unavailable July 13-August 2 due to a trip. About: Hi, my name is James and I am an active and energetic animal lover that has had dogs and cats my entire life. In addition to my own pets, my wife and I have fostered with local dog and cat rescues for the past 10 years. My love for animals doesn't stop there, I have worked in the zoological industry for the past 20 years. My first 15 years as a zookeeper and the last 5 as a zoo curator. If you have domestic farm animals or exotics of any kind, I am very comfortable caring for them. I have experience administering medications and specialized diets, as well as, giving injections as needed. If you are looking for someone with a wealth of experience in caring for animals, please reach out. I am working full time, but am still able to overnight, if needed. Otherwise, I am available for any morning and evening care that is wanted. I'd prefer not to take care of any pets in my home for the time being due to the fact that we have several fosters, as well as our own pets.

“Amber was fantastic! She and Loki got along right away at the Meet-and-Greet, which we weren't sure about since he hasn't met many new folks since we brought him home from the shelter. We greatly appreciated the photos each day, and Loki seemed to enjoy Amber's company and evening pets. This was our first time booking a cat sitter, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with Amber again.”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Timbuctoo. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
