About: Well I’ve had cats all my life but I do love dogs! I have done over night(s)! I love taking dogs for walks & to parks to run around and possibly play with other dogs I’ve helped with a friend of mine dogs while his other family members were off on a camping trip so I took them out for potty a few times a day, feed them, & played with them. I’m definitely an animal lover who loves being outdoors and helping out if and when needed I’ve been told multiple times that I’m a cat/dog whisperer if you know what I mean by that. If there is anything in particular you wanna know feel free to ask. I currently am a homemaker and do have my own vehicle. I currently have a very open schedule but I do not drive. My partner drives me (or animals!) wherever I need to go. First things first I like to have a conversation with the clients about their pet specific needs and schedules. If a, “In-home” pet sitting is needed, I also like to go over any house or home rules. This can vary depending on the animal.

“Nikki was great with our pups! She stayed at our house for a night and when we got home, it was clear our pups and house were well taken care of. Nikki is a very kind trustworthy person. We will definitely reach out to her in the future to hang with our ladies when we are out of town!”

“Zeva was great with our pups when we needed to leave home offering photos & videos of how they were doing. Scheduling was flexible, responses timely, and great to work with on. Our dogs require daily meds and a little extra care so we were thrilled to find them. Highly recommen Zeva! 🐾❤️”

About: I have extensive experience taking care of cats, dogs, and chickens, but am open and excited to take care of all pets. I am new to Rover, but have completed over 40 sits through TrustedHousesitters watching many dogs, cats, and kittens, ranging from weekend sits to entire months and have been pet sitting full time for 1 and a half years. I have watched dogs and cats of all ages and have experience administering medication (including insulin, pills, liquid). I also have experience with a variety of farm animals as I watched an entire farm by myself including goats, sheep, turkeys, rabbits, cats and dogs. In addition to my recent experience through TrustedHousesitters, I have had many house/pet sitting gigs throughout the years. I periodically watched my housemates cat in college. I grew up dog sitting my family friend's dog and cat sitting for a couple of different families. I also nannied for 4 years, and have experience looking after houses, cleaning, and keeping my clients homes in great condition. I am originally from California, but my home base is Portland, OR. My favorite activities include running, hiking, and anything outdoorsy. I am a marathon runner and I have completed 6 marathons so far and have run numerous half marathons. I also really like exploring, traveling and trying new food and coffee places. I love to house/pet sit because it gives me the opportunity to be around cute pets and make some extra income as I recently moved back to Portland after taking a gap year. I have 3.5 years of experience working remotely in the medical communications field and I am a UC Davis alumni. While caring for your pet and home, I will be available on my cell and will text picture updates, so you can feel at ease while you are away and will be sure to give your pet plenty of cuddles and love.

About: I absolutely love animals! I grew up with dogs and cats and miss having them in my daily life. I understand what big deal it is to trust the care of your beloved pets with anyone else and I take it very seriously. Currently, I work from home; so, my schedule is very flexible. I go on frequent walks throughout my day anyway and it would be a joy to have a dog by side! I had the most angelic, nutty dog (in my pic) who sadly passed away last year. I'm not quite ready to take on the huge commitment of pet ownership again just yet. So, in the meantime, I'm enjoying walking dogs at the local shelter. Through walking dogs at the shelter, I've learned a lot about how to approach unfamiliar animals so that we both stay safe and happy. My own dog was a rescue so had some quirks that I learned to work with over our 9 years together. It's so much fun when they get comfortable with you and start to show their goofy and silly sides! I'm comfortable giving pets medicine or special medical care. I have experience with pretty much everything from pills, eye ointments, ear drops, insulin shots, skin and wound care. I have taken care of rambunctious giant puppies who don't understand their size, anxious little ones who need a protector in this giant world, and creaky older friends who need a gentle touch and a little help. I live in a small house just one block from the beach; which is lovely for walking and playing. I have a small yard with a 5 ft. wooden fence. I don't leave dogs unattended in the yard, just to be safe. I have a Subaru, in case they need a ride somewhere. The hatchback is great for wet sandy dogs; but honestly, my car's interior has seen a lot of dogs and shows the wear of their love, so what's a few more! I would be open to housesitting overnight for the right people, as I understand that sometimes pets are more comfortable in their familiar space. Please let me know if you have any questions for me! Hope you're having a great day!

About: I make sure your pet feels like a member of the family, not only are they smart, they need attention to make sure they can have trust. I have nothing but time and attention to give. I love to have fun, that's what life's all about, getting out there and having adventures. Any new opportunity is what pushes me into the next day, can't wait to meet you and hear your story. As a type one diabetic, I know how important special needs are, especially for pets, any medication, any set schedule, anything to make sure your animal has a long and fruitful life in your family

About: I have excellent references with over 16 years of experience walking, feeding, bathing, and grooming animals. I have worked with animals as young as 4 months old to as old as 18 years old and had to administer medication. I’ve worked with dogs, cats, horses, goats, fish, birds, and cows. I am a teacher so I am available any time during the week to stay over and with breaks I can go and let them out for play and potty time. I’m off work after 3:45 so your pet babies will have lots of attention! I live in an apartment at this time so I will not be able to keep your animals here, but I am able to come to your home and be there as much or as little as you need me to be! I want what is best for your pet since I know they are part of your family. When you put your trust in me, I take that very seriously and anything you need directions wise will be followed- you know your pet best!

About: My family has had many kinds of pets since I was a kid. We often took in injured animals and nursed them back to health. We got a Chihuahua when I was 15, I'm now 30 and she recently passed away. Her name is Teka and she was my baby. We had her for 15 years. I own my own business so I can work literally whenever I want. My schedule is completely malleable. I can easily shape my work schedule around anything. Also please note if you hire me for house sitting, my beloved will go with me, she is exceptionally gifted with animals. I can take your dog out literally any time, and for any length of time. I can easily crate your dog if needed. I also have plenty of cuddles.

About: I may be young, but I've had multiple animals in my life already: 3 cats, a handful of dogs, some fish, and even a horse. I also did rescue for 5 years, being a foster family for numerous cats working with my local animal shelter. I also dog-sit for family and friends. I am free any day throughout the week as long as I get notice at least a day ahead. I am an older sister to lots of kids, so scheduling is very important to me. I would treat your animal just like my own: walks, playtime, relaxation, and feeding. I can also bathe and brush as well. If you can give me a list of what your pets need, I'll make it a priority.

“Excellent sitter, got along well with my pups, kept them active, and received nice photos daily.”

About: I have real experience caring for special needs dogs including my blind, diabetic pup who needed daily insulin shots and lots of love. I’m calm, patient, and passionate about making pets feel safe and cared for while their people are away. Whether your fur baby needs meds, cuddles, or just a buddy to hang with, I’ll treat them like family. You can count on me to give them the same love I gave my own. Pet care fits perfectly into my routine! I’m available Monday through Thursday and sometimes on weekends too. I have plenty of time and energy to give your pet the love and attention they need. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I truly enjoy being there for animals. I care for pets in their own home where they feel most comfortable and secure. I follow their routines closely, whether that’s feeding schedules, walks, playtime, or giving medication. I make sure they feel safe, loved, and relaxed while their family is away. I’m calm, reliable, and treat every pet like they’re my own. Even if they need special care, I’ve got the patience and experience to give them the attention they deserve.

About: 20 years of animal care experience. Co-founder of Sacred Pawz animal rescue, where safety, health and well-being of all animals is my number one priority. I am an RN who works remotely from home, and can work from anywhere. My home is on 5 acres and I can board up to 2 dogs from the same household in my home, they just become part of the family while boarding with me. I can also do in home sits since my work schedule is flexible and I can work from anywhere. Safety and well-being are my top priority when watching animals. Since I run a rescue and deal with what we call “flight risks” frequently, I am well versed in how to keep dogs safe and avoid escape. As a surgical nurse for over 30 years, my medical training combined with my rescue experience of over 15 years provides me with the necessary skillsets to take care of your pets medical needs should they have any, and what to do in the case of an emergency. My work with rescue dogs has also necessitated me to work with many trainers over the years. Although not a certified trainer, I have experience in working with behaviorally challenged dogs using positive training methods. Your dog will be in competent hands either in my home or yours while I am pet sitting.

“Our puppy was so happy after his time with Alex.”

About: Growing up on a farm, I had the opportunity to care for a wide variety of animals, from livestock to household pets. This hands-on experience, combined with my background in fisheries and wildlife biology, has given me a deep understanding of animal care. Over the years, friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets, knowing I treat every animal with the same love and attention I give my own. As a devoted dog owner, I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets, and I’d be delighted to provide that same level of care for yours. I currently work Monday–Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with the flexibility of working from home about 75% of the time. This gives me decent availability depending on my schedule. I’m fully available Friday through Sunday to care for any furry friends in need. During the week, I can accommodate early morning drop-ins before 7:00 AM and late drop-ins after 3:30 PM, depending on my availability. I own a home in a safe, pet-friendly neighborhood with easy access to multiple hiking trails and beaches, perfect for outdoor adventures. I have experience with dogs of all sizes and am comfortable handling walks of any length or activity level. Most importantly, I care deeply about your pet’s safety, whether I’m caring for them in your home or taking them out for a walk.

“I couldn’t recommend Ronny King more highly! He’s been an absolute lifesaver when it comes to taking care of my dog. Ronny is dependable, responsive, and genuinely cares about animals. Every time he watches my pup, I come home to a happy, relaxed dog — and that peace of mind is priceless. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or overnight stays, Ronny always goes the extra mile. If you're looking for someone trustworthy, responsible, and kind to care for your pet, Ronny is your guy!”

Justice W.
“I had Justice come over to my farm and watch my 7 year old Pointer, my 14 year old Golden Retriever and a variety of animals from my horse to cats to my chickens. Justice made sure they were well cared for and went above and beyond to make sure they were kept safe during the winter months. She gave our dogs plenty of exercise and made sure our older retriever got his medicine each day. I would recommend Justice to pet sit/house sit for anyone who wants peace of mind while they are away.”
