This was our first time using Rover. I should probably start with the fact that we own two 80 pound bulldogs that think they are lap dogs, that they should sleep on the bed, and cuddle nonstop. Basically 160 pounds of Velcro. On top of that one of them required pills and ointment for a recent medical procedure. Nonetheless, we needed to go out of town for a family event and decided to try Rover for the first time. We used Kimberly and she seemed to get along fine with the dogs at the meet and greet. She was not at all put off by potential medication or ointment. She appreciated the list that we left on the visit itself. She sent daily photographs and reached out if she had any questions. We also checked in and she said she was doing fine. My sister stopped by to grab some medication from our fridge and she reported that the dogs were incredibly happy and Kimberly was very pleasant. That set us even more at ease. When we arrived home the house was tidy (cleaner than we left it and the toilet paper was even folded), the lights were on and the dogs appeared very very happy! Overall this was a great experience for nervous dog owners and we would not hesitate to use Kimberly again. In fact, I’m sure that we will! 10 stars!

I feel a little frightened to leave a bad review since retaliation has been threatened if I do. I received hours of harassing texts criticizing me and attacking my character by Kimberly at the end of my vacation. It started because I informed Kimberly it was possible I may arrive home slightly early from my scheduled arrival time. Then, six hours before my scheduled booking expired she began harassing me about when I'd be home as it was imperative to her that she not be at my house when I arrived home which had not previously been disclosed and made me uncomfortable since we had not made an arrangement for her leaving my keys. When I trust someone to stay in my home I expect them to be willing to be face to face with me if the occasion arises. Over the texting, I repeatedly attempted to diffuse the situation, thanked her many times, but the personal attacks against me continued. (Her beliefe was that i was treating her as "the help" which seemed to greatly trigger her to the point she could not comprehend anything else i said and repeatedly attacked my character based on this unfounded notion, even writing paragraphs in all caps accusing me of thought processes i do not have) I personally felt it was inappropriate for the house sitter to take away my authority over my home and harass me about my arrival time when it was all well within the time I booked and paid for. It was quite frightening to me to have someone still in my home spewing disdain toward me and attacking my character while in my home capable of doing damage. This all seemed very out of the blue since all our communications had been fine during the trip until she began insisting she must leave hours early and there was absolutely no way she was willing to be at my house when I arrived home. She ended up leaving three hours early as i was hoping that by telling her she could leave the harrassing texts would end. I am also irritated because if i only paid for the hours she actually was there i would have paid for a halfday less. When I got home My cat was locked into a room with no food, water, or litter box. I will say she left the house clean, however i was disappointed that she did not seem very interested in my pets nor did she seem to have bonded with my very friendly puppy. To be honest, I have been shaken up for hours because of the way she spoke to me and attacked my character, I have never experienced this level of aggression and disdain directed toward me in my adult life. I don't generally leave bad reviews but I would have for someone else to go through what I went through. Kimberly told me she was "very sternly telling me how it was and I hadn't seen her rage yet". This is not the type of thing I want to deal with when I'm just concerned about my pets' care. I did have to block the rover number to stop the attacks and shortly after she showed up at my door, which frightened me as she had made her feelings toward me very clear. I say this with compassion that she was not engaging as a rational adult. I truly have been very upset by the exchange and truly can't believe it all started with me stating the possibility I may arrive home slightly early. During the exchange Kimberly informed me that she was ready to respond to a bad review. She may be able to crop a screen shot tomake me look bad and if so, so be it, i will not engage in another exchange with her. I say with compassion Kimberly may lack the social skills and self awareness necessary to positively communicate in the house sitting business.

Kimberly was very timely in responding to my request for service. She accepted the job on short notice since my prearranged sitter canceled due to family emergency. She took good care of our kitty girl and kept us informed each day of drop in service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her .

Kimberly is very attentive to our animals and our home. She's amazing and I highly recommend her

Pup was happy when I got home and everything was taken care of. Looking forward to having Kimberly again.

Kimberly did a great job with all 5 of our animals. Communication was good and she left the house in better shape than we did :)
