About: For the past 4 years, I have volunteered at an animal shelter where I worked with both dogs and cats. With dogs, I have experience with all ages, ranging from 5 week old puppies to senior dogs. I have walked and played with dogs who were the most outgoing and loving dogs, as well as the more fearful ones who needed a little extra attention before opening up to me. I have received training in understanding dog behaviors as well as how to interact with more stressed and fearful dogs, leaving me confident to care for all types of dogs. I also volunteered to take some dogs out of the shelter for one night and care for them at my apartment so they can destress out of their kennels, which gave me experience house sitting multiple types of dogs. With cats, often times at the shelter I would play with them in their cages, or I would take them out the cage and hold onto/pet them to help relieve their stress and get them accustomed to humans. At home I also have 2 senior pets I care for, a 12 year old Brittany dog and an 11 year old cat. They’re both incredibly sweet and remind me every day why I love caring for animals. Let me help take care of your furry family members—I’d love to meet them! I work as a teacher full time during the school year, so I have time after 4pm to care for your pets. However, during the summer I don't work full time so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am free anytime during the week for house sitting, dog walking, or just dropping in to visit your pet. When caring for a pet in a client's home, I will make sure to confirm all household rules that apply to their pet before starting. This includes knowing what furniture the pet can sit on, the diet of the pet, as well as how often the pet should be played with/taken out on walks.

I work a hybrid schedule, so I'm usually home on Mondays and Fridays, giving me flexibility to care for pets during those days. I’m also free all day Saturday and available Sunday mornings before 12pm. I live in a clean, pet-friendly house with plenty of space for dogs to relax and play. I have a three-year-old Bichon Frise who is super friendly and loves having a companion around—he’s gentle, playful, and gets along well with other dogs. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities in my home. I vacuum every day, mop twice a week, and wipe down counters and chairs weekly to maintain a fresh and hygienic environment.

About: I am an experienced dog owner, having cared for my own senior dog post surgery. I’m great with administering medication and am always running around being playful with the animals I care for. I’m currently a hybrid worker where I can work from home some days! I am also available on weekends! Pet care is a part of my daily routine since I have my own dog. I have a fenced yard in my own home. I take my own dog out every couple hours or so when I can and give her two 30 min walks if I can.

About: I have a 7 year old 90 pound Labrador Retriever mix named Mouse, so I’m very experienced with large breeds and how to handle them. On all my walks, I make sure to bring extra bags and water for your pet to always be well prepared! I also try and avoid all major roads and intersections during walks to ensure the best safety. On all my drop in cat visits, I bring my own laser pointer so your fur baby can get some great playtime in! My dog is very playful and energetic and sure to keep your dog busy all day. I’ve had him since he was only 8 weeks old, and taught him every trick he knows! I’m a helicopter mom when it comes to my baby Mouse so I totally understand how scary it can be to have someone else care for your pet, especially considering they’re family! But rest assured I would treat your fur baby as if they were my own! I would be sure to send many updates and photos/videos, especially considering I know that in your shoes, it’s the least that I would want. I also love taking cute pictures of animals since they never have a bad angle, so I’ll be sure to fill your album with many adorable pictures of your pet! I have a fenced yard where the dogs can play together and will make sure to also take them on additional walks/runs. In the summer time, I even have a pool where the dogs will be able to swim around in if they love the water. I’ll always make sure the dogs have the necessary and proper amount of exercise so that they sleep soundly through the night. I have taken care of many animals over the years ranging anywhere from dogs, cats, to even rabbits and chinchillas. I love all animals big and small and would love to take care of your best friend! I’m currently working remote, so your pet will always have someone to be around! I can currently work around any schedule, and be able to send frequent updates! I have a fenced in yard with a pool, so in the summertime if your dog loves to swim, it’s the perfect place! I also have a large 90lb lab mix, he’s very friendly and loves to play with other dogs!

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!

About: I’ve been taking care of a pet dog for the last 25 years. I’m patient and I love animals. I love to walk the dogs and play fetch. I have plenty of time to walk and care for dogs/cats. Morning or late evening morning seven days a week. I like to bring flexibility to my clients. For my pet at home I take him for walks. He likes treats. He likes to eat once a day. Playful so we have playtime. I wash his face every morning. He like to cuddle so he sits next to me when I’m watching tv.

Although new to Rover, I have been walking dogs of all sizes and ages in Manhattan for the last 3 years! It has been such a great way to explore the city - especially if your pup enjoys Central Park, that is my spot! I grew up in a home with 2 dog bros and have several years of pet care experience for family and friends alike Long Island and in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have experience taking care of dogs ages 1-8 years old and open to all breeds! Pet care is baked into my weekly routine as a priority - consistent scheduling and timeliness are very important to me when working with a client. Any pet under my care will always be put first and listened to. I always engage physical activity as much as possible when outdoors, make sure meal/walk schedule is consistent, and maintain any basic training. If inside, I am always giving belly rubs and ear scratches, with the occassional zoomies moment.
