We had Rhondee drop in our dog while we were away and we came home and all was well and great with our dog Cajun. Rhondee was able to accommodate the drop in times that we requested, which was much appreciated! Would certainly recommend to anyone else!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We can’t thank Holly enough for stepping in at the last minute to take care of our pets! She was incredibly understanding and accommodating with our sudden trip, and her communication was excellent from start to finish. We really appreciated how attentive she was to all of our pets’ needs and how she kept us updated with messages and photos—it gave us such peace of mind while we were away. Everything was perfectly handled, and our pets were clearly happy and well cared for. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and professional pet sitter!

April is awesome!! I was very nervous to leave my pets as one cat is very shy. But not with her! She also managed around a difficult household member. Right away my kitties took to her and I had peace my entire time away. I will definitely be using her services again!!

About: I have had dogs and taken care of dogs since I was a kid. I love all creatures and will pamper your pup! I know how important it is for dogs to feel safe and cared for while their owners are away and will give your dog all the love and attention it needs! I have a very flexible schedule which allows me plenty of time to spend taking care of your pet. When I do work, it's only for a few hours at a time, so I can stick with your dog's routine for eating and walking and such. I have a fenced yard with a bit of grass and one small senior dog who gets along with dogs and cats. I don't mind dogs on the couch and we have a cute park down the road for walks and outside play time.

About: Hello 👋🏻 My name is Kaylee and I’ve been a professional pet sitter for about 5 years now. Over the course of those 5 years I’ve cared for all of the following animals: dogs, cats, birds, fish, snakes, turtles, lizards, hamsters, rabbits and horses. I’m in college getting an animal science degree and I’ve worked with a wide age range of animals. From puppies all the way to senior dogs and kittens all the way to elderly cats. *please know that while my listed prices are accurate additional surcharges may apply. (All prices will be disclosed before booking) I have a lot of availability for pet care in my schedule, I do have college classes I must attend and the occasional appointment with these being non-negotiable blocks of time I must leave the clients home to attend (which will be discussed ahead of time). However aside from that I have a plethora of time available to dedicate solely to your pet(s). *jobs that are “constant care” and/or have strict rules regarding how long the pet(s) can be left alone WILL incur a surge charge. I haven’t had a pet escape or get lost on my watch yet, and I don’t plan to start now. My childhood dog escaped once as kid, and even thought he was quickly found, it made me realize the horror of potentially losing a pet. As a result, I take pet safety very seriously. I will not walk a dog without a leash. I always double and triple check that doors are closed/locked (when appropriate).

About: Hi! My name is Bernay, and my furry business partner is Skye! 👋🏼🐾 I work remotely full-time, which allows me to provide dedicated in-home pet and house sitting while keeping your pets company throughout the day. I care for your pets in the comfort of their own home, whether you’re away for a weekend getaway, a vacation, or an extended trip. I have years of experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, cats, and pets with special needs, including administering medications and maintaining detailed daily routines. I understand how important consistency is, and I strive to make your time away as stress-free as possible for both you and your pets. The only thing to note is that my sweet 10-pound Chihuahua, Skye, accompanies me on sits. He’s a friendly, well-mannered little guy who loves making new friends. Both Skye and I are fully insured for your peace of mind. Because I stay in your home with your pets, we typically prefer longer bookings where we can settle into their routine and provide consistent companionship and care. I’d love to chat about your pet’s needs and see if we’d be a great fit! 🤗🐶 References are available upon request. Feel free to reach out with any questions! I work remotely so it’s an easy transition to a house/pet sitting job any day of the week. I like to be booked in advance to make sure I can show up and provide the services needed. I come to your home and follow all directions. I make my stay as easy and fluid as possible to make your pets as comfortable as they can be. Your house will be left the same as before. The one stipulation would be my little chihuahua who comes to my house sits with me. We have had all successful visits and make lots of friends. My dog and I are insured and have has such amazing experiences on this journey together.

About: I’ve worked with all types of pets, small and big, I 'm compassionate about animals and the unconditional love they bring to our lives. Whether it was a shi tzu to a german shepard to a lab, to a horse, I'm a true animal lover. Additionally, I took care of a friend until the end, he got Long-Term Covid in 2019 and died in Feb 2024. I also helped in my mother's care who had muscular dystrophy and my father, who had dementia. I'm a semi-retired entertainment publicist who spent the last 18 years in Los Angeles. When I do work, I work from my home office so I'm always around. Also, if you are looking for an extended stays, please reach out to me for discount on mid-long term stays. Mainly by preference, I have my own personal preferences but whatever the Pet Parents want something specific, like no pets on the furniture or bed. Preference for using their own dog bed. About: Ever since I can remember, myself as well as my family have loved and enjoyed dogs and they have always been a part of our family. I got my first puppy when I was 12 years old. She was a rescue and I had her until I was 26 years old. Her name was Molly. We had many other dogs during that time. My sister's and I were who cared for them all. Although this is my first time running a business caring for dogs, I have taken care of dogs most of my life. Some people call themselves a "people person". I call myself a "dog person". I have always had a natural ability to connect with dogs. Dogs have always loved being with me. I care for them as if they were a child of mine. As I always have said, the more I get to know people; the more I love dogs! I'm currently a student at home so, I am available to give your pet my undivided attention. I treat all animals as if they are my own, like family. I love to spend quality time with animals. I also have good hygiene. I believe this is important because we all know how dirty animals can be. I am gentle and loving.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of August 2026, there are 607 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Thomas Mountain. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Thomas Mountain. On Rover:

  • 95% of sitters can help with special care needs
  • 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 98% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
