“Oliver enjoyed his time at Doug and Marisol’s home doggie daycare this week! I felt relieved knowing my little guy was being well-cared for while I was at work. They provided Oliver with a cozy environment and his prescription food & treats.”

“I highly recommend Julie! She is wonderful! She takes such great care of my dog LuLu. She’s kind, patient and so sweet! Julie is also so accommodating and responsive! Lulu loves visiting Julie and her family and comes home so calm and happy!”

“A big thanks for another fun day! My husband and I really appreciate Semran’s attention to detail and TLC for Manny. And we wanted to add an extra star for last week’s care!⭐️ Thank you!”

“Barbra, Maddy, and family, It's so very nice to have such a great family for Tillie to visit and have fun with! Thanks for taking such good care of her! Till next time, Nancy and Mark”

“First time leaving my puppy with someone I didn’t know and it went very well! Cameron sent me photo and video updates throughout the day. My pup came home tired and happy! I will be using them again!”

“Shanna and Charlie were super responsive and got back to me right away whenever I messaged them. Shanna was welcoming and friendly when I dropped off my pup. They made pickup/dropoff easy as well, as Shanna was waiting for me when I got there. My dog seemed very happy and looked like she was right at home when I picked her up!”

“Erica is fantastic ! We were initially concerned about leaving our 5 month old puppy Lola for one week, but Erica quickly disseminated our concerns by demonstrating her knowledge and experience of dogs/puppies. She understands their needs and is good at meeting those needs. Our high energy, stubborn puppy learned how to "sit" under Erica's care! Need I say more ! Erica also provided us with daily updates/photos which really helped us enjoy our vacation without any concerns. When we arrived home, it was obvious that Lola too was pleased with Erica.”
About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have had three dogs of my own, so caring for animals has always been second nature to me. Over the years, I’ve also babysat and pet sat for family, friends, and neighbors, giving me experience with dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. I’ve cared for breeds including Goldendoodles, Maltese, Poodles, labradors, Chihuahuas, French Bulldogs, and many more. One thing that sets me apart is my responsibility and dedication. I recently served as the ASB President at my high school, where I learned the importance of being dependable, organized, and someone others can count on. This fall, I’ll be attending California Lutheran University to pursue both my bachelor’s and then master’s degrees. I truly love animals and understand that every pet deserves patience, kindness, and individual attention. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply keeping a familiar routine while you’re away, I’ll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I would be honored to earn your trust and treat your pet like they’re one of my own. 🐾 I’m currently on summer break and in the process of preparing for my first semester at California Lutheran University, so I have a very flexible schedule. This allows me to dedicate plenty of time and attention to your pet. Whether your dog needs a walk, playtime, overnight care, or simply someone to keep them company, I’m happy to work around your schedule and provide reliable, attentive care. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, and any special instructions so they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’ll make sure they stay on their normal feeding, walking, and potty schedule, provide plenty of love and attention, and always keep a close eye on them. I’m respectful of both your home and your pet, and I’ll communicate with you throughout the visit with updates and photos so you can have peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in good hands.
“Hana is amazing. I dropped our puppy off for the first time yesterday. Everything about Hana made me feel that our pup was in the right place. When I came back our puppy was happy and tired! I hope to use Hana's service on a regular basis ? ? ?”

“I reached out to Holly with a last minute sitter request. Holly was super responsive to my requests regarding Wee. I appreciate her willingness to go above and beyond by picking her up from my other sitter, as well as being flexible around whether I would need day care or overnight care for her. Will definitely book again!”

“I would highly recommend Vanessa for daycare. She was flexible and could accommodate us last minute, which I am very grateful for! She was patient with my dog Kirby, who seemed well-cared for, happy, and tired when I picked her up. Thank you very much, Vanessa!”

“1st time on Rover. Great experience all around. Kaitlin & Verle were quick to respond, super accomodating, and took great care of Oreo. Well done & will book again.”

“Jacob was very accommodating and quick to answer any of my questions. Very easy Going and has a nice house to accommodate my golden retriever. Highly recommended services. He is kind, professional and flexible.”

About: Hi! I'm new to the Rover app, but I'm not new to caring for animals. I've always had a natural connection with animals and they seem to gravitate toward me wherever I go. I’m a stay at home mom of a 3 and 5 year old so I am always home and always active and my fiance is home while I run errands. We have a decent size fenced yard where your animal can get some energy out while staying safe. I truly believe animals are family, and I care for every pet as if they were my own child. I'm highly communicative, reliable, and genuinely empathetic. I pay close attention to each pet's unique personality and needs, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you're away. Whether your dog enjoys long walks, playtime, or just having a calm companion, I'll make sure they receive the care and attention they deserve. I understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. That's why I'll keep you updated with plenty of photos, videos, and messages throughout each visit, so you always know how your pet is doing and can enjoy those special moments even while you're apart. If you're a busy family looking for a dependable dog walker or pet sitter who will treat your pet with patience, kindness, and lots of love, I'd be honored to help. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! I am a mom of two girls. I have a flexible schedule and I’m willing to do whatever’s necessary to make sure your pet is taken care of. I’m a hair stylist on weekends and I love when people bring their dogs to their appointments. Rover is great way for me to play with animals, get some exercise, and make some extra income. Just message me 😊 I make sure the dog goes outside to use the bathroom . Make sure the food and water bowl is always fresh and full. Engage and play with your pet. Chill, lay down, and watch tv together. I absolutely love playing tug of war with dogs so make sure to pack that toy in their overnight bag LOL. If I were to come to your house I would let you know exactly when I enter and when I leave and give you updates on your pet .
“We had a wonderful experience with Ty and Annie. They are incredibly friendly, clearly care about what they do, and communicated with us every step of the way. They were especially understanding of our dog’s anxiety and went out of their way to help him feel comfortable. We couldn’t have asked for better care.”

“She's great. My dog has never been with anyone but family and she is able to comfort him. With my schedule changing, it is wonderful having her as a backup for work. Like I said, she's great.”

“Lisa is an amazing pet sitter, always keeping me posted about my pet throughout the day, and she was very affectionate with him. I feel like he had a lot of fun and was very happy with her. I highly recommend Lisa and Logan 🤩🙏🏻”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your The Willows commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
