About: I have spent my whole life surrounded by family dogs (mainly the bigger breeds). I got my first dog on my own almost 5 years ago and my 2nd last year. I have seen and cared for dogs in all stages. I do work full time with a flexible hourly schedule and can help with care as needed. Currently I work 9-5 and I walk my boys every night and can make most scheduling needs work! I have a fenced in yard and 2 friendly dogs myself. While I’m home the dogs can all be interactive together in and outside, while also being walked. While away from home and for sleeping dogs will be crated for safety purposes (never longer than 8 hrs for work)
About: I’ve had at least 1 pet my entire life, so I’m no stranger to caring for pets in my home. Beginning in middle school and until now, I’ve been entrusted by family, friends, and coworkers to take care of their pets while they’re away. I have experience with house visits, walking or dog park trips, and overnight care. While I don’t have direct experience with pets who require medical attention, I’d be happy to learn with you. I do have experience with senior pet care. Overall, I guarantee I’ll take care of your pet like my own! I had dogs all through childhood and college, and miss having a four-legged friend around! Sadly, my own work travel schedule prevents me from having a doggo of my own right now, so I thought that it would be a good compromise to lend a hand to other frequent flyers who love their pup too much to put them in the kennel. Rest assured that your dog will not get just a 15-minute lap around the block to pee, I'll take him or her to the dog park, on a hike, or if your pup is more low-key, I'll totally snuggle on the couch. My pet ownership experience is mostly with big dogs (sheperds), so that's definitely my soft spot, but I've taken care of all breeds and sizes through volunteering as a foster with a rescue group in my former home of Washington, DC. I have a reliable car, so it's easy for me to get to your place to check in a couple of times a day. I work from home, so I am pretty flexible. I do live with a sassy cat, but we live in a big duplex where pets can be separated if needed. I will strive to stick to your pet's usual routine whether I am sitting at your home or boarding in my own home. About: Growing up we had three dogs and they all lived very long lives and unfortunately passed within the span of a few months. We rescued two beautiful cocker spaniels Charlie and Minx to go along with our family dog Maya who was coincidentally a cocker spaniel. My job in the family was always to take care of the cats, dogs, and rabbits. I loved taking care of animals and my favorite activity was going for walks with the dogs. In the time I have known Ashley she has not only watched dogs I've had and done an excellent job but she is also a former foster with a local dog rescue. When fostering with an off transport rescue you rarely know what to expect and Ashley has shown that she can care for many types of dogs of varying temperaments. The most memorable was very anxious and mouthy beagle who was later put on Prozac to help with her temperament and behavior. Ashley fostered Tallulah until she was adopted to later be returned multiple times because people just couldn't deal with the challenge that Ashley was. If I had a personal dog i would not only trust Ashley with its care but not worry because I know she would do anything she could to assure it's comfort and care.”

This is our second time booking with Emily, and we’ve loved her so much that we’ve referred friends to her who confirm the same sentiment: She is just fantastic at what she does. Her experience with young children as an elementary school teacher certainly translates to being phenomenal with furry friends! We were concerned that our shy calico would hide, but she was happily making friends within a few visits. Rover reports were detailed (and so sweet!) each day.
