“First time using Rover. 4 year old yorkie with alot of energy. Emily is super professional and loving. Her care is a 10/10 and we will be using her services for the foreseeable future. Thank you Emily for your tender loving care with our baby Toby ✨️”

“Jazmine (and her boyfriend Norman) took wonderful care of our 12-year-old black Lab, Judy, who is a cancer survivor and a bit particular—sweet, but needy and not a fan of other dogs. Jazmine cared for her in her home, made sure she had her morning medicine, and sent us daily updates with snuggle photos that made us feel completely at ease. Judy was clearly loved and beautifully looked after. Warm, professional, and trustworthy—highly recommend.”

“Elaine was amazing! She kept me updated on Oreo’s care. She sent me photos. I felt happy to know that my dog was in great hands. Also, she had open availability. Which is great when you plan last minute trips. Highly recommend!!!”

“Yuli and her family were amazing and welcomed Buddy into their family with open arms. We got tons of updates, pictures and videos and it was clear he was so happy and relaxed with them. I appreciate them so much and will definitely use her again!”

“Stefanie was excatly what I was looking for!!! She took amazing care of my four legged child. I will ask her again and again. This was my first time using a sitter that wasn’t a friend or family. Seriously a wonderful experience she’s kind, compassionate, caring 💕for my elderly dog💕”

“Marleny and Luis took great care of our two dog buddies. This is our second time entrusting them with our dogs. They also have experience with senior dogs which is a plus since one of our dogs is 16yrs old. We had nothing to worry about while being away, they are reliable and trustworthy, they kept in touch while we were gone and we knew our dogs were in great hands. We came back to healthy and happy dogs. We will continue to trust them for any of our future trips. Thank you both!!”

“Matt provided such a wonderful experience for us and our 6 mos old Aussie. You can tell he loves the dogs and provides experienced care. Our pup loves being with him and his two dogs, and came home tired! Matt is excellent with communication and providing update with pictures and texts. We won’t hesitate using Matt’s services again - highly recommend!”

“Great communication, took Shachi on many adventures, and even gave her a spa day! Her dogs are also really sweet and well behaved. Went above and beyond and Shachi had a great time!”

“Hannah was great. We booked at the last minute and at first I thought he would have an issue adjusting but nope, the hand off was smooth. She sent me photos each day and it looked like Ruben was enjoying the patio space lol.”

“Kristie was one of the best dog sitters we have had for Bruno. She was not only professional but deeply passionate about the well-being of animals. What truly stood out was her remarkable responsiveness and flexibility. Despite my last-minute request, she graciously accommodated my needs. Throughout my dog's stay, Kristie maintained excellent communication with cute photos of Bruno, keeping me informed and reassured at every step. She even gave my dog with a toy to take home with him. I wholeheartedly recommend Kristie to anyone seeking reliable and caring pet care services and I 100% would go to her again for future needs.”

About: I’ve been around dogs since I was a child, so I’m comfortable dealing with puppies and older dogs. I am also familiar with crate training, caring for female dogs in heat, potty training, and feeding schedules. Love to hike and go on walks with furry friends! Disclaimer: I am allergic to cats so I cannot house sit your dog if cats are present. I don’t work during the summers, so my availability is very open! I can watch your furry friends while you are working and/or take them on walks to get them out of the house! I have a partially fenced in yard and a dog of my own to play with your pet(s) if wanted. I am available for boarding at my house or your home. Let’s figure out what works best for your loved fur baby!

“Bodhi loved staying with Melissa and Angel! He was well taken care of and had a lot of fun with their son and the other dogs they were watching. I'd definitely reach out to them again to watch him.”

“Our whole experience with Doug, Sarah and their family caring for Oscar was wonderful. They shared updates and photo’s the entire time we were away. Oscar fit right in with their family and was treated like a family member. We certainly recommend them and will not hesitate to use them again in the future.”

“I felt really good about leaving my 11-year-old Benny boy with Jennifer and Jason after spending an hours visit with them prior to dropping him off. They are clearly dog (animal) people…… and took him into their home as one of theirs. What more could I ask for?”

“Stefi took great care of my dog, was accommodating of her raw diet, sent pictures, and gave regular updates. She was communicative and very flexible when my trip was unexpectedly extended and even worked with my later pickup time. The only thing I’d suggest is confirming any requirements (like rabies certificates) earlier in the process to avoid last-minute stress. Overall, very very thankful for her help and would book again.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of June 2026, there are 685 sitters on Rover offering Dog Boarding across Tatamy. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Every sitter on Rover has their own rhythm and routine, but most will follow the flow that keeps your dog happiest. Sitters can give meals on your dog's regular schedule, provide a comfortable place for sleep, and plenty of one-on-one attention.
94% of Tatamy sitters also include daily walks in the neighborhood during dog boarding stays. You can also request photo and message updates throughout the stay so you can see which Tatamy landmarks or neighborhoods your dog is enjoying.
If your dog is a little shy, consider booking a one-night trial stay! This practice run can boost your and your dog’s confidence before your trip.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Tatamy home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Tatamy.
Tip: You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Tatamy sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
