“Elaine was great with my pup Nugget. She sent daily pictures and updated me each evening about Nugget's day. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy my vacation knowing that my fur baby was in such good hands. Will definitely book Elaine again!”

“Sharon and her family took outstanding care of our aging JRT while we travelled. She was receptive to our list of suggestions and kept in communication during our trip, sending us photos of Daisy playing and continuing normal patterns which were an assurance that all was well. We wondered if Daisy missed us at all! We would highly recommend Sharon as an outstanding dog-sitter!”

“Our dog, Frankie, stayed with Marleny and Luis for the second time! He had a great time playing and relaxing with them. They were so responsible, flexible and kind. We even got to keep up with our boy throughout the weekend through pictures sent! We would bring him back there.”
“Ana was an absolute pleasure to work with! From the very first message she was warm, friendly, and super responsive. Communication was excellent the entire time — she kept us updated with photos and check-ins so we never had to wonder how the pups were doing. Our dogs clearly had a fantastic time with her. They came home happy, relaxed, and tired in the best way. It’s obvious Ana genuinely loves dogs and knows how to make them feel comfortable and cared for. We feel so lucky to have found her and wouldn’t hesitate to book her again. Highly recommend!”

“Thank goodness for Emily!!! We had a family emergency and she helped immensely. We also had to keep extending our dog’s stay with her day by day. Being able to focus on my daughter’s health knowing that my pup was okay was very comforting. I cannot recommend Emily enough! Thank you!!”

“Jazmine (and her boyfriend Norman) took wonderful care of our 12-year-old black Lab, Judy, who is a cancer survivor and a bit particular—sweet, but needy and not a fan of other dogs. Jazmine cared for her in her home, made sure she had her morning medicine, and sent us daily updates with snuggle photos that made us feel completely at ease. Judy was clearly loved and beautifully looked after. Warm, professional, and trustworthy—highly recommend.”

“Once again, Kim has gone above and beyond, this time it’s my greyhound/mix Bo. Bo had been found living in a basement for a whole year without going outside, and with little attention except for food. Upon being rescued, he lived in the shelter (a very good one), for eight months, because he did not present well to his prospective adopters. Being aware of all this, Kim scheduled a couple of meet and greets with us, so that Bo could more gradually acclimate himself to her, her family, and to Bo’s new temporary surroundings. She replicated Bo’s schedule and routine as closely as possible, even to the point of surrendering a big section of her sofa to him, because he has claimed a big section of our sofa at home. ( It is worth noting that with my previous dog, Kim and her husband “baby-proofed” their home because Zoe was blind, and had a tendency to get caught in corners and behind furniture). Bo also has a tendency to pull on his leash while walking. Kim not only continued my instruction with Bo, but also improved upon it to the point that, unless I give him full rein, he walks beside me like the gentleman he really is! As dog-lovers we’ll know, leaving our dogs with someone else while we are away creates no small amount of anxiety. Previously with Zoe and now with Bo, I know that I can leave for a few days, or even a week, with a calm and clear mind because my dog and dear companion is in Kim’s care.”

“Stefanie takes such good care of Prada when she watches her. I received plenty of pictures to update her stay. It’s wonderful to be able to enjoy time away knowing that my fur baby is being taken care of. So grateful!”

“Thank you so much Melissa and Angel! It was my first time using them and they made me feel at ease. They send me pictures and updates throughout the whole stay on how Rocky was doing. See you guys soon!”

“This was my first time having my dogs stay outside the house, and having four wasn’t easy to find someone. Brittany was very excited to watch the boys has a big fenced in backyard, sent daily updates on them along with daily photos. Will definitely be booking with Brittany again and highly recommend her!”

“Carole is a very responsive sitter. She was able to accommodate a very short notice request to care for my dog for a 10-day stay. I had used Rover for several years, but this time the sitter I had used previously was unavailable. Carole provides a large and safe community environment (indoor/outdoor) for the dogs. She follows best practices with meet & greets prior to booking and gradual introductions of new arrivals to limit chaos and conflict. Also, my dog had never been in a home with cats before. I had my concerns knowing my dog has a strong prey drive for wild critters like rabbit. Carole has her home set up so the cat can retreat to non-dog territory. I appreciated the regular check-ins with videos/pics. I appreciated that Carole was very straightforward with her communication and easy to work with.”

“I had a wonderful experience. Kadie took excellent care of my dog and kept me updated throughout the stay with messages and photos. She was incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and cared about making sure my dog was happy and comfortable. I would absolutely book with her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, attentive dog sitter! Thank you so much for loving my dog as if he was yours! 😊”

“My dog Kai had the greatest time! I could tell when I picked her up that she wasn’t antsy to leave and looked healthy and cared for. She didn’t seem stressed out. Kimberly did such a great job at making me feel at ease and I didn’t feel worried at all with Kai being away. Will definitely be using Kimberly again!”

“Really nothing to complain about! Very professional and easy to work with. Had a fair rate, and was always on top of responding. As far as the actual service, always gave updates, was very flexible, and very quickly gave me the assurance that my doggo was in safe hands! 🐾 Most importantly - picked up my dog to find him happy and healthy. Thank you so much!”

“My dog had the best time. Amanda is fantastic about sending updates and photos and I felt secure knowing my baby was in great hands while I was away. I picked my dog up sparkling clean, with a newly cleaned bed, exhausted from playing so much, and happy. I will 100% use Amanda again.”

“Amanda is amazing. We took a 4 day road trip and left our two small doodles with her. It was our first time leaving them home and we had a lot of anxiety and nerves but Amanda send us constant updates. She took them outside to play for hours and even bought a pool so they could maybe swim and cool off. There was other dogs that our pups got to meet and socialize with and they had a blast playing. The vibe was a doggy summer camp. I am confident she took care of our babies as if they were her own.”

“Yuli and her family were amazing and welcomed Buddy into their family with open arms. We got tons of updates, pictures and videos and it was clear he was so happy and relaxed with them. I appreciate them so much and will definitely use her again!”

“Stefanie was excatly what I was looking for!!! She took amazing care of my four legged child. I will ask her again and again. This was my first time using a sitter that wasn’t a friend or family. Seriously a wonderful experience she’s kind, compassionate, caring 💕for my elderly dog💕”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tatamy
I was nervous leaving my dog because he has some issues related to his old age and he hasn't spent much time with other dogs, but he did great. Marleny and Luis let me know how he settled in the first evening and next morning, and kept me updated with pictures. They accepted his issues as part of dealing with elderly dogs. I was able to relax on my vacation knowing he was in good hands.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
