“They were absolutely amazing! I was so grateful they were able to accept my day care request the day of. The communication throughout this entire experience has been absolutely wonderful!”

“I can’t say enough great things about Kayla! She took amazing care of my 6.5-week-old Belgian Malinois puppy, going above and beyond to make sure she was happy and well cared for. She provided regular updates with pictures and videos, which gave me peace of mind knowing my pup was in great hands. It was clear that she genuinely loves animals and treated my girl like her own. I highly recommend Kayla to anyone looking for a responsible, caring, and attentive pet sitter. I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Oh my! Where do I start? Ruby is absolutely wonderful!! She is kind, welcoming, sweet, loving with my little dog and with her own dogs, (and also with birds of the sky), personable, very flexible,_ and accommodating!!! She took lots of wonderful photos during the day and shared them, just as I'd asked. I truly believe she made my dog feel at home, and when I picked him up at the end of the day, he appeared well cared for and happy. I am very happy with the service she provided today, and I believe my dog felt welcomed in her 🏡. I will feel very comfortable and happy to leave him in her care the next time I need her services.💖”

About: I'm a lifelong dog owner and lover of many different breeds. I currently have a miniature pinscher and a dachshund who are used to company and making new friends. I've also owned beagles, terriers, and a Belgian malinois. I love to play with dogs and take them on walks. I'm responsible, reliable, punctual, and fun! I'm home every afternoon and am free for walks some mornings and I will be available for walks in the early evening during the warmer months. I'm comfortable giving them oral medications or a special diet. In a nutshell, I love dogs and enjoy them more than most people. I'd be happy to take yours on a walk or babysit. I'm also comfortable bathing and brushing them (I haven't mastered haircuts yet, though). I love all size dogs, but as I am a smaller person, it's easier for me to handle breeds under 40 pounds. I work from home part time and am home everyday so boarding and dog sitting fits in easily with my daily routine. I'm usually free on the weekends as well I have a fenced in yard and a doggy door in my home. I'm home everyday and have a pup of my own to keep your dog company.
“We had an emergency with our pet and could not keep the appointment and Mary was caring and considerate. I’m sorry we lost our pet and won’t be able to use her services but I highly recommend her as a human who cares lovingly for pets.”

“Jennifer is absolutely great with dogs my chihuahua is so scared of everything she made my baby at ease. This was a first to leave her she sent updates daily and photos couldn't ask for a better person to watch your furbabies. Would absolutely recommend her to anyone who worries as much as I do. She is the right person. Loves dogs couldn't happier”

“Gage was very responsive and accommodating to my dogs stay at his house. He sent pics daily, kept me informed, and they had a great time. He was flexible with drop off and pick up, and always responded in a timely manner. I will definitely use again in the future. Thanks!”

About: I have the sweetest four-year-old toy poodle who loves giving kisses and a very curious and talkative three-year-old toy poodle who likes to get into everything. I adore them and just love caring for and spoiling my two boys. I also have past experience working at a pet care franchise, so I have learned a thing or two about keeping pups happy, healthy, and safe. I am an entrepreneur, so I’ll be able to keep a close watch on your fur baby even while working. I will be able to tend to potty breaks as often as needed. My schedule is very flexible. We can work out times for drop off and pick up. I have two friendly intact male toy poodles who are kept up-to-date on all vaccines and flea medication to keep your (male) fur baby company if that is ok with you. I will keep my fur babies separate from your baby if you have a female pup. I keep my home very clean. I do live in an apartment, so your baby will have to go up and down stairs unless you prefer me to carry your baby. There is a small dog park complete with a K9 playground for lots of playtime, climbing, and running. I am very detail-oriented, so you can trust that I will follow whatever instructions you give me.

As of August 2026, there are 193 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Taska. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Taska commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MS ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
