About: I have taken care of animals since I was 8. I have a dog who turns 8 this year, which I take full responsibility, that includes: vet visits, grooming, and activities. I also have trained her to do cool tricks! I've taken care of my sister's 2 dogs as well while she was on vacation. I have a lot of experience with small animals too! I have the whole summer off from college, and I am recovering from my illness, so I believe that taking care of a pet will fit into my schedule without interrupting doctor visits. It also is not as straining as a retail job. I will make sure to check for areas that could cause harm to an animal and provide a solution to the problem to ensure safety. I am also schedule sensitive, so I make sure that animals get fed on time.
About: Every pet is family. I'm reliable, responsible, & genuinely love what I do. Respectful of your home, leaving it the way it is or better! I am recently retired and am available for any time slot to take care of your babies! Loving them at their own pace and comfort. Making your pets at ease while you enjoy your time away, knowing they are being loved and cared for. Pictures and videos will be provided!

About: I am a pet person! I’ve had dogs since I was a child and have cared for my own dogs and cats throughout my adult life. Animals have always been part of my family, and I truly love caring for fur babies of all ages and personalities. I treat every pet like my own, with patience, affection, attention, cuddles, and lots of love. I understand how important it is for pet parents to feel confident their pets are safe, happy, and well cared for, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m known in my community for taking care of friends’ pets when they’re away. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine because I work from home and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets lots of attention, supervision, walks, and companionship throughout the day. I live in a safe, walkable neighborhood and love taking dogs on walks, playing with them, and making sure they feel comfortable and loved. My home is very pet-friendly, I have a large, fenced in backyard, and I genuinely enjoy having animals as part of my daily life. I provide a safe, loving, and comfortable environment where pets are treated like family. I have a secure fenced-in backyard with plenty of green space for dogs to safely play, explore, and get exercise. Pets will receive lots of attention, supervision, affection, walks, playtime, and care throughout the day. I’m happy to follow each pet owner’s routines, feeding schedules, medication instructions, and any special preferences to help pets feel comfortable and secure. If needed, I can also crate pets according to the owner’s instructions and comfort level.
About: Hi there! I’m Mallory and I absolutely love dogs and being around them! I used to pet walk when I was younger around my neighborhood as a kid, and since then I’ve only continued my love of dogs. I’ve worked at many dog boarding facilities. I started out in Petsmart PetsHotel around 2012, where I learned a lot of my knowledge for handling dogs there. Then I moved to Camp Bow Wow in 2015, where I was a part of the leadership team, harnessing my skills even further. And that takes me to where I am now, working at Brown Dog Lodge, being a Front Desk Receptionist , and working on my certificate to be a Vet Tech. My skills over the years that I still use today are as follows: * Provide medication, even for unwilling dogs ): * Know behavior of dogs to a T. * Feeding dogs, and knowing when it is time to get the vet and owner involved, adding pumpkin or plain yogurt when they won’t eat. * I know aloooot of breeds, seriously quiz me if you’d like! :) * How to give an excellent bath, and nail trims (I can provide either one of these upon request) * First Aid/ CPR Certified On top of all that, I have 5 dogs myself. All of them are rescues, and I love them to death! I have Heath (I call him Heathbar), Sasha, Garruk, Bella, and Geralt. That’s also the order I got them in. Since I’ve worked in daycare facilities and have a few dogs myself, I’m great at maintaining more than one dog. My work schedule is as follows: Monday: 9:30am-6:30pm Tuesday: 6:30am-12pm Wednesday: 9:30am-6:30pm Thursday: 6:30am-3:30pm Friday: 9:30am-6:30pm Saturday & Sunday: Home all day! :) I do work full time, I hope that’s not a problem! Of course if your dog has all of their vaccines (Bordetella, rabies, and Distemper Parvo) I could take them to work with me (Would be extra for payment to my job). But if not I can come home during my lunch breaks (I get an hour lunch break so I can let them out for a bit), I’ll let them outside before I leave for work, and of course when I get home. I want to provide a happy, healthy home away for your pup(s). So just let me know if there’s anything I can do to accommodate to keep everything as close to the same as possible! If you have any questions regarding anything, please feel free to message me! Thank you!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Taska. On Rover:
- 90% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 98% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 98% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
