About: Hello! Thank you for considering my profile. I am a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant with a deep love for animals. I graduated from UCD, where I gained the knowledge and skills needed to excel in the veterinary field. With a strong sense of empathy and a natural ability to care for creatures of all kinds, I play a vital role in supporting veterinary teams to provide high-quality care. From administering medications to assisting in diagnostic procedures, I ensure that animals receive the best possible treatment. My responsibilities extend beyond routine care, including managing medication schedules, monitoring animal health, and offering comforting support to pet owners during difficult times. Whether it's providing post-operative care or preparing animals for their exams, my hands-on approach ensures that every animal is treated with the utmost respect and kindness. My attention to detail and dedication to improving the well-being of every animal I encounter make me an invaluable part of any team. I am focused on continuous learning and growth, always seeking to expand my knowledge and skill set in the veterinary field. With my caring nature and unwavering commitment to animal welfare, I am not just a veterinary assistant—I’m a true advocate for the animals I serve. As a pet sitter, I manage my open schedule by staying flexible and organized to provide the best care for each pet. I prioritize scheduled visits for feeding, walking, and playtime, while being ready to adjust if an emergency arises, such as administering medication or addressing an urgent need. I maintain clear communication with pet owners, ensuring their pets' routines are followed and offering updates when needed. My ability to adapt allows me to give every pet the attention and care they deserve, whether it's a planned visit or an unexpected situation. In my household, I ensure my pets receive proper care by providing fresh food and water daily, regular exercise, and grooming as needed. I schedule vet visits for check-ups and keep up with medications. I create a safe, comfortable space for them and pet-proof the house to ensure their safety. I spend quality time with my pets, offering mental stimulation through play and bonding, while also ensuring they are socialized and emotionally supported. I stay alert to any health changes and am prepared for emergency care if needed.
About: As a trainer, I get the opportunity to help clients build deeper relationships, communicate more effectively, and have more fun with their dogs. It’s a privilege to bring joy to my clients by strengthening the bond they share with their companions. I like to build balanced, confident companion dogs. I believe a dog that understands what is expected of them and what they aught to expect from the world around them, is a dog that can move through life with confidence, security, and joy. I am a professional dog trainer so my full day is dedicated and devoted to the animals in my care. I often enjoy early morning walks at the river with my off leash pack, then I work and train dogs through the day. 1) Safety First: animal welfare is the #1 priority, full stop. 2) Relationship Second: training does not being until trust is built between animal and handler. This is very important - I will never push the animal faster than they are ready to move or faster than the trust and relationship will support. 3) Goals Third: after we ensure safety and build a trusting relationship, we can prioritize the client’s goals for training. Training is done through positive incentive based learning following science-backed principles of learning theory.
About: I have 21 years of experience caring for animals. I provide attentive, personalized care that meets the unique needs of each pet. As a stay-at-home mom with a loving and supportive husband, I have plenty of time and energy to dedicate to caring for your pet. My 3-year-old daughter is gentle and caring, and we both adore animals. She has a natural ability to treat them with respect and kindness. I’ll ensure your pet gets plenty of attention, playtime, and walks while feeling safe and loved. Whether your pet needs a midday walk, playtime at home, or just some extra cuddles, I’m here to help. With my flexible schedule, I’m happy to care for your furry friend at any time that works for you. Your pet will be treated like a cherished part of our family! Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee, which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
