About: After a tragically pet-free childhood, I've spent the last 20 years seeking out any opportunity to care for animals—from free dog walking for friends and cat-sitting for vacationing pals to hiking with hounds and being a designated vet chauffeur. I love exploring the outdoors with a dog, chucking sticks across empty fields, and praising them for every "good stretch"! I do everything I can to make pet parents feel comfortable and assured when they leave their furry friends in my care—including plenty of photos and updates! I work from home as a writer/editor and a live-edge woodworker, so my schedule is entirely flexible and under my control. I have a fenced-in backyard with ample shade where I often write and work, so outside time is always available for the animals I care for. I love walking the city and wandering through green spaces, especially Audubon Park and City Park, and having a puppy pal to accompany me makes it even more enjoyable. My interior home space is approximately 1,800 square feet, with multiple couches and rooms and sunspots for dogs and/or cats to relax and lounge. The fenced-in backyard is well-secured with a 6-foot fence for stress-free bathroom breaks, and my active lifestyle takes me on at least 2 longer walks each day, typically in the morning and evening. At a client's home, I pride myself on being highly adaptable to new routines and expectations, and my career as an editor makes me very attentive to details, e.g., medication needs, feeding times, sleep schedules, walk durations, etc. Whether you need someone to pop in and play with your pooch for an hour, or leave your animal at my home for a longer trip, you can rest assured they will be cared for, loved and pampered in a safe and comfortable environment.

“Emily was absolutely amazing! Nuggy has a bit of separation anxiety and I could tell she felt very comfortable right when we got there. She was able to run around and play with other dogs all day and I know she had a great time. It is very easy to see Emily loves all these dogs and treats them as if they are her own. I will absolutely use Emily again the next time Nuggy needs a sitter.”

They hate being alone and I don't think they had a moment unattended in the 5 days they spent with Lindsey. Her dog Lola sealed the deal for the pugs as they love other dogs and feel like it's a party if other furry beings are around. On the second morning we were to take the dogs to Lindsey they didn't get off the couch. As soon as we asked if they wanted to see Lola, they were immediately at the door- such a good sign! About: I've cared for pets my whole life, including senior dogs and those needing medication. I love long walks and feel confident handling dogs of all sizes. Your pet will get all the love, attention, and care they deserve while you're away. I am currently a stay-at-home mother to a loving 2-year-old, so I will have plenty of time to play with and care for your pups! I am available for boarding any day of the week as well as overnights. I have a fenced in yard and a friendly 2-year-old Goldendoodle. We enjoy walks and are happy to take your pup with us! I also have a 2-year-old child, who is comfortable with pets and is respectful towards them. We do allow dogs on the furniture, as we love to cuddle as much as they do! I am happy to adjust feeding, walks, or play time to cater to anything your pup may need.
