About: I have been fortunate enough to gain years of experience working with animals in both a shelter and medical setting. I am well trained in various routes of medicine administration as a result and love every dog I meet. I just want to be able to make a difference for the pets and their families within my community. I do currently work a full time schedule as a veterinary technician, and study part time, so I generally have a rather busy schedule. I am well-disciplined, however, and manage my time around all of my commitments appropriately, and your furry friends hold a high priority for me. I can prepare for overnight duties and have flexible enough time in the mornings and evenings, and could feasibly do drop-in care over the noon hour. My weekends are generally clear! About: I am a loving dog person. I'm playful and energetic as well as fit to fill your dog's needs. I'm experienced with taking care and training of family's dogs over 15 years. Also great with all types of dogs all breeds, and animals in general. I'm available throughout most times of the night or day. I'm fit and athletic to keep up or work out your dog if need be. About: I’ve had pets my whole life and started helping with their care at age 10. Though the last 12 years have truly deepened my experience and love for animal care. Currently, I share my home with four cats and a German Shepherd/Husky puppy! Over the years, I’ve had the honor of caring for pets with special needs, both my own and those of friends and loved ones. My puppy and I have completed two 6-week training courses with Canine Initiative – and yes, we still practice those skills daily (with varying levels of success depending on how many squirrels we’ve seen that day). One of my most meaningful experiences was caring for my border collie, Nina, after a serious injury. She needed help walking with a harness, regular cleaning, medications, vet visits, and lots of love. After 2.5 months of dedicated care, she was back on her feet, and we were lucky to share two more wonderful years together. I also cared for her through a late-in-life diabetes diagnosis, which included daily insulin and increased mobility support. I’ve administered medications to dogs including insulin, ear drops, and oral meds, and I’m especially mindful about keeping pets calm and comfortable during care routines. I’m always happy to learn your exact process — whether through an in-person tutorial or a video — to keep your dog’s stress to a minimum. I’m open to caring for dogs with medical or physical needs, with the understanding that for mobility support using a harness, I’m most experienced with dogs 45 lbs. or less. That said, I’m absolutely comfortable walking and caring for dogs over 50 lbs. as long as they are well-mannered on a leash. While I may not be the strongest person physically, I’m confident with larger dogs who don’t pull or lunge too much. If your pup is a gentle giant, we’ll get along just fine on walks! My youngest (age 12) and I work great together playing and giving positive attention to dogs. She has attended most of the dog training classes with me and shown an interest in attending more. If you would prefer myself only, I completely understand! Should your animal need urgent care and I am able to take them to the vet, we are very familiar and close with Morton Animal Hospital and Banfield Pet Hospital. I cannot recommend them enough! If more assistance is needed than the general care/dog walking, I will adjust the rate and will be happy to discuss this with you. Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions! I am currently off for the summer and will have various appointments and activities to do with my children and animals. I am able to adjust my schedule at this time but will let you know if I have anything scheduled during the days needed. I understand sometimes extra or unexpected trips are needed to check on your pet. At this time, I am off for the summer and am able to provide care throughout the day for my own pets. Depending on your dogs activity level, I would prefer to care for your dog at your home due to my dogs young and energetic puppy self, as well as my four indoor cats. Should it work out with bringing your dog to my home and remaining outside with me, I do live on a busy street in town and do experience unsafe, fast driving cars at times (Idlewood). With that said, our yard is completely fenced in, though our back and front fence is 5 ft. in height. Larger, escape artist dogs may have the ability to hop the fence and if that is a concern, I would rather not risk bringing your dog to my home.

About: What sets me apart is the genuine love and attention I give every dog like they’re my own. I have experience caring for puppies, high-energy breeds, and senior dogs who need a little extra patience and support. Whether it’s training a new pup or giving meds to an older dog, I make sure each pet gets personalized, safe, and loving care. My home is a calm, dog-friendly space, and I’m all about keeping tails wagging and owners worry-free! Ive grown up with pets and they were a big part of my daily life. Feeding, walking, grooming, and just spending time with them were all built into my routine. It taught me responsibility from a young age, and I really enjoyed the companionship. I definitely look forward to having pets again in the future when the timing is right. "When I cared for pets at home growing up—and when helping friends or neighbors—I always made sure their basic needs were met first: feeding, fresh water, regular potty breaks, and exercise. I paid close attention to their routines and any specific instructions, especially when helping in someone else's home. I understand how important it is to keep pets comfortable, safe, and loved, whether that’s sticking to their walk schedule, administering medication if needed, or just giving them plenty of playtime and affection. Cleanliness and communication are also big priorities for me when caring for pets in someone else's space.

“Susan is a treasure! She has an enormous amout of love and caring that you can see when you meet her. My Frida had 2 walks with her last Saturday. There were a few accidents when Susan came the first time. God love her she cleaned everything up and fed Frida then went for their walk. She cares so deeply for our dogs that in my heart I know that mine is safe and loved when they are together. Thank you again Susan for your help and your little surprise. About: I have had pets all my life so 17 years of experience. I know how to take care puppies, senior dogs, and special need dogs. I am currently in high school at Morton High school and I am working part time at Starbucks. I can stop by any time after 3 pm. I usually woke nights at Starbucks so I can stop by early in the morning for a walk and I can stop by after work too. I have a huge fenced in yard with 2 friendly and playful small sized dogs. I can easily crate your dog when I am not home. I have a doggie door that leads into my backyard and they will have access to it all day long. When I dog sit for family friends I try to at least spend 4 hours in their house to play with the dog and go for a walk.

About: I have animals of my own and 15 years of experience helping with other animals. I would love to take your dogs for walks or give them some play time throughout the day. I'm open to watching your animals over night too (boarding can be scary). I'm a social worker and off for summer break. I have a lot of free time throughout the day which allows me to meet your dog or cats needs! I have a big yard but we have a underground fence. I will use a leash to let the dogs out. I have a 1 month old Black Lab that is full of energy along with a 1 year old cat who is very energetic. Both animals are good with people and other pets as well. About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals, growing up with dogs, cats, birds, and even lizards. My mom was an animal lover, and I’ve followed in her footsteps. I helped my dad with his three cats that my mom used to care for before she passed, driving an hour every week for grooming and bathing (one of them is a bit oversized!). I’d love to care for your beloved pet. Although I can’t have pets of my own due to my wife’s allergies, this makes pet sitting my dream job! I regularly care for my father’s cat, Jack, traveling over an hour each way, so distance is not an issue for me. About: Through out my life I've had several different furry friends (and fish!). I have worked with all kinds of animals from ones that love to run and play to ones that would prefer to lounge around all day! My fur baby, Dodge, is a mix of the two so im sure to cater to each side of him by providing different types of enrichment and trainings for each mood. I am currently a stay at home wife looking to make some pocket money while doing something I love! I'll have plenty of time to look after your lovely animal children! Most of the times, short term stays or quick check-ins work best for me, but I am open to talks regarding longer stays. I am a strong believer in spending as much time with pets as possible, so I plan to enact that with your fur babies as well. I will send you pictures of your fur baby on walks or lounging on the couch with small updates.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, cats and reptiles. I am a former vet assistant who want to continue working with animals as I have so much love to give. I am currently working full time but I live with multiple people who are willing to help me with boarding. I don’t work all day so I would love to take your pet for walk! I also can do drop ins on my days off which I have 3 days off a week. I also have a partner who is in this with me who loves animals as much. I have 4 dogs and 2 cats. The house stays clean and we are neat freaks and we have an up and downstairs in case of wether safety. I have practiced. Weather safety with my animals and continue to due so. My animals have ever shot you can think of and they are on flea and tick prevention and heartgard.

About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I have dogs ranging from 8 lbs- 78 lbs. I love dogs and always give every dog the attention and love they deserve. I have dealt with blind dogs and skittish dogs. I can easily adapt to the enviroment the dog needs/wants but do not let bad behaviors get by. I also do not believe in "smacking" or punishing a dog in a rough way for any bad behavior. I believe dogs are able to tell when something is not okay by voice, tone, and body language. I want every dog to get the love and attention they deserve. I am willing to spoil a dog to any means and make them forget that you are even gone. I’m a teacher so my summers are very free! I want to be able to keep animals very busy during the summer since it is so nice out! I have experience with “escape artist” dogs so I know how to be safe with animals who may want to escape. I keep an eye on pets all the time especially the ones who may be busy bodies.
