“Kristin is the best of the best! Her daily visits to check in on our Great Pyr and our farm cat gave us so much peace of mind while we were away! We appreciated her updates, pictures, and all-around trustworthiness. She gave extra lovins and treats, and we’re so glad our babies were in such good hands all week!!”

“Kelli was very patient with our shy special needs cat. She gave him space and slowly earned his trust. After a few days he was greeting her at the door ready for his treat. Kelli learned the medication needs of our cat and handled the tasks like a pro. A new skill she can add on her resume. Thank you Ms. Kelli. Scooby, and Marcel, thank you too.”

“Kayla was the perfect sitter! She was very attentive to our cat Reggie and even spent time tidying up our apartment to make sure Reggie was safe. She sent thorough updates and made us feel at peace knowing Reggie was well taken care of while we were away. We will definitely be booking with her again.”

“Ashley is amazing! She took the very best care of our pets while we were gone and kept us informed of everything so we did not worry at all. Ashley went above and beyond our expectations so I know we found the best pet sitter ever! I highly recommend her to anyone who hates to leave their fur babies behind!”
“Ashley was extremely helpful and flexible in dropping in to check on Kota at the scheduled times. She made me feel much more comfortable about leaving him for a couple of days! Will definitely be reaching out again if I need someone to watch Kota”

About: I have two spoiled dogs (Kitty and Callie) who I love! I live on a farm and have experience caring for a variety of animals including dogs, cats, goats, cows and chickens. I understand how hard it can be to travel and need help with your animals last minute so I’m here for you! Primary service offered Mon-Fri with some weekend availability given notice. Recurring appointments available as needed. Please contact me with any questions regarding scheduling if needed. Walks with a leash at your home or supervision in fenced in area available. I am comfortable feeding approved foods and treats during playtime. Pictures and text check ins available.
About: I’m an attentive, patient, and genuinely dog-loving sitter who understands that every pup has their own routines.I’m comfortable with all kinds of care including structured playtime, feeding routines and keeping their environment clean and calm. What sets me apart is my reliability, my calm demeanor, and my genuine passion for giving dogs a positive, stress-free experience while you're away. Being a cat parent, pet care fits into my daily routine like an intergral part. I have a full-time job but I can cater to after hours services. I'm available for weekends and holidays as well. I will prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine. I pay attention to keep their environment calm and clean, will follow your instructions closely, and treat your home and pet with the same respect I do with mine own. You can trust that your pet is in caring, responsible hands.

About: I'm a 37 year old single dog mom to a female standard poodle that is fixed. I've watched dogs off and on since I was in college and always enjoyed playing with, cuddling, and getting to know each dogs personality. I love all dogs; big and small, and have owned several different breeds myself, including two English bulldogs who both lived to be 13 years old (which is old age for a bulldog) and a sweet labradoodle that I had for close to a year, but had to rehome due to aggresion towards my poodle. I work as a dental assistant Monday-Thursday, and my 3 day weekends are mostly filled with doggy snuggles and an occasional pup cup run! I would be available to take dog drop offs starting on Thursday evenings when I get home from my 9-5. I have a fenced in yard that's ideal for play time and potty. My dog is a sweet good natured girl so your pup will make friends and not be bored. I care about your fur baby and will make sure that they are comfortable and feel as "at home" as they can while they are away from their own home. I work at a dental office Monday-Thursday and have Friday-Sunday off. I would be available to take dog drop offs once I'm home from work on Thursday evenings. I'm quite the homebody, so other than church on Sunday morning for a few hours, I'm home the majority of the weekend. I have a fenced in yard where your pups can play and run and go potty. As long as they aren't "jumpers" they should be just fine. My dog is a mild mannered and good natured girl. I do have one large/x-large crate and I have a medium sized crate that can be used if your dog needs to be crated, or you can bring your own. My standard poodle stays out in the house most of the time uncrated, as she is 4 years old and fairly good about not getting into trouble.
“Ethan was amazing with our puppies! The very fact that he accepts caring for puppies says a lot… plus he not only cared for them but played with them and even trained them! We were very grateful for his help and would definitely hire again! Thank you Ethan!”

About: I have always had pets ranging from dogs and cats to chickens and horses, growing up. I live on a farm, so I have a lot of experience with animals. I currently have 2 dogs and 3 cats who I couldn’t live without, and I’d love to meet some new furry friends! I currently only work part-time, so I can be flexible with your schedule in taking care of your animals. I want to work with you in finding the best way to care for your pets, so feel free to reach out on how we can arrange a pet sit. I’m a very clean person, and I would always make sure to clean up and mess that either I or your pets happen to make. I make sure to take gentle care of my animals, and I would apply the same level of care to yours. I make sure to spend plenty of quality time with the animals instead of just doing the bare minimum. Please let me know if there are any special toys or tricks that your animals like the most so we can kick it off with a good time!
“Annabell was a wonderful sitter and pal to our two kitties while we were away. I will most certainly be calling her next time we need some TLC for our sweeties while we are away.”

About: I have loved animals from the minute I opened my eyes. I grew up with the responsibility of caring for my critters (goats, horse, donkeys, dogs, cats) and now have two cats and dogs of my own! Within the last five years I have happily assisted friends and acquaintances with their furry friends as well. I am happy to meet y’all! It’s part of my daily routine to feed, water, and hangout with my fur babies. At this point it is second nature because I’ve done it for so long (my whole life). I will love on and play with the pet to their comfort level, am comfortable giving medication, and will send daily updates/photos! I do not house sit at my own home due to my critters

About: I have two cats and one dog myself who I love with all of my heart, so my care for animals is always 100%. I have recently had roomates with dogs I would take care of whole they were away, so on top of my animals I made sure to take care of my roomates dogs. So multiple animals is not a problem with me. The more the better I always say. My whole life I had an interest in animals which is why I went to school and currently hold a B.S degree in agriculture with a concentration of animal science . About: I’ve stayed in houses caring for multiple pets such as dogs and cats. One home had 5 dogs, 2 whom were blind, and all puppies used pads to use the restroom. All puppies had a specific eating regimen that I had no problem taking notes on and catering to. I’ve dropped in to feed cats, but being a cat mom myself, I do not mind spending quality time with the kitties! I’m a middle school teacher, so pet sitting is reserved for after school hours, during Fall, Winter, and/or Summer breaks. I’m flexible and communicate often and quickly! For my personal cats, I spoil them like crazy! They have all of the toys they could ask for and I play with them often. I can tell when they’re ready to cuddle and relax, and I love this time! They take a nap on my lap and I get to crochet! I love on others pets the same way. If there’s a treat station and a favorite toy, let me know so I can spoil the clients pets too! I’ve watched plenty of older pets who just need a companion to sit on the couch with them, so I always bring my crochet things to fill the time.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
