About: From a young age, I've engaged myself in the world of animal companionship, taking on the responsibility of caring for dogs and cats within my family and neighborhood as well as my own. In present time, I have transitioned into the role of an ABCDT Certified dog trainer, dog walker and pet sitter channelling my love and passion for animals. I’m working part time and have plenty of time for your pups and cats! My schedule on Saturdays I am available from 8am to 8pm, while my weekday hours are 7am-2pm for now. Safety is very important to me and I make sure to take the proper procedures to make sure your pets are safe. About: I’ve taken care of a variety of pets beginning with household pets as a child. About ten years ago, I adopted my first pet of my own and have had one ever since. I regularly take care of neighbors’, friends’, and referred (and repeat) clients’ pets of a variety of ages, temperament, and health condition with love and joy. About: Hi, I’m Afton! I provide dedicated, one-on-one care by accepting only one family’s pets at a time! I have a very quiet home, perfect for new guests! I have found that hosting one family’s pets at a time leaves me with more time to spoil and help your pets settle in! I love gaining new experience in pet care, I have watched newborn puppies, kittens, and even ducks! I have a senior pug, he has been with me since I started kindergarten! I absolutely adore senior dogs due to my experience with him, they hold a special place in my heart. My background also includes time at the Riverside Animal Shelter, where I trained dogs and made sure they were well-socialized, and ready to be adopted. I am a college student, working towards a masters degree! Working for Rover allows me to go to school and also work from home! I always enjoy having a pet by my side, as I like to stay busy throughout the day. I take walks in the mornings and evenings, I would love for your pet to come with me! I do have crates available but will not utilize them unless I absolutely need to step out of the room. If your pets are crate trained it definitely makes things easier for me! I always provide attentive care for pets in a very secure environment, I have a doggy door leading to a fully fenced and shaded backyard. I always go outside with the dogs despite it being fenced in. For particularly smaller dogs, I tend to keep them on leash for potty breaks. This gives me, and also the owners reassurance that their pets are never in any dangerous situations. I find it makes a dog’s transition less stressful if they have already become acquainted with my dog and I. I always like to schedule a meet and greet prior to their stay, with no extra dogs added into the mix later. I currently have a 16 year old pug mix being my main source of knowledge surrounding senior dogs. Caring for his needs over the years has made me a very mindful pet owner, he is very important to me. I never let any dogs outside on their own at night, of course potty breaks at any time are always allowed! At night they will be provided on leash potty breaks, due to coyotes and wildlife in the area. Your dogs will stay by my side during boarding, if they are well groomed they are allowed to sleep with me on the bed. I love having the company with me, I also find it’s usually the most comfortable option for new guests.
