“Edith was FANTASTIC! She did a great job looking after our girls while we were away and kept them safe and happy. She asked our communication preferences and did a great job keeping us updated on our dogs throughout our time away. She truly went above and beyond for our dogs and I know our girls had a great time with her! We would definitely use her for future trips away!”

“We are so happy we found Hillary to come and stay with our dogs. She is warm, kind, and very reliable. She followed our rather detailed instructions to the letter and sent us daily updates with pictures. We felt 100% at ease while we were gone, knowing that our dogs and our home were in very capable hands. We came home to a clean and tidy house and relaxed, happy dogs. We will definitely contact Hillary for all of our future pet sitting needs.”
“Ann took amazing care of our pup while we were away for a week. We loved getting the updates and never had to worry! When we arrived home, we could tell he was relaxed and extremely well taken care of!”

“Isabel is an absolute gem!! She sat with our spoiled pups all day and they loved her! She is a great communicator, reliable and most importantly, it’s obvious she loves dogs! I will definitely hire Isabel again and highly recommend her!”

About: I've been a dog lover my entire life and grew up surrounded by dogs. I currently have an 11-year-old Corgi who means the world to me, so I understand just how important it is to find someone you can trust with your pet. I treat every dog with the same love, patience, and care that I give my own. I'm happy to schedule a meet-and-greet beforehand so you and your pup can get to know me and feel comfortable. Caring for animals is something I genuinely enjoy, and any income I earn goes toward caring for my own dog, including his veterinary care. I look forward to giving your furry family member the attention, love, and care they deserve while you're away.

“Angellee was so great! Stayed in our home and took care of our 3 dogs. Was very communicative and updated us regularly with photos and how they were doing. Highly recommend.”

“Elle was terrific! We needed care for our 2 dogs while we were gone to wedding. She came over and met us and the dogs ahead of time. The dogs loved her right off. She has a caring personality and they loved that... One of our dogs is a senior diabetic that needs shots. Elly was more than willing to handle that as well as the pills they needed. She sent lots of pictures and notes about how it was going. Everything went well and we plan to request her in the near future. So glad to have someone that we trust with their care.”

“Justin was an absolute lifesaver, coming to the rescue last minute. His care for Oreo's oral medication needs was not only helpful but incredibly understanding. The frequent updates he provided during each check-in weresuper helpful, offering me genuine peace of mind throughout my entire trip.”

“Natalie did a fantastic job with my animals. She fed and took care of their needs as well as loved on them. I came home to 3 happy animals and my house was cared for as well. Thank you so much for loving and caring for my three babies. I will definitely use her again.”

About: here to help those in need of pet sitting/walking. I have a specialty in working with behavioral type dogs such as leash aggression, dog/dog aggression, triggers like cars/flags/ loud noises/cats or rodents. Don’t let my profile steer you away either as we work with good pups too some just need a little more time and attention. I have 2 dogs that I managed to work quite well with their training and various triggers and hope to be able to assist with yours as well, as I know it can be difficult to put your trust in another person that may or does not know how to handle accordingly. I love animals all around. I have specifically worked with all pets for the past 7-10 years whether this be (cats, dogs, reptiles, or birds). I come from a background of daycare services, grooming, training, and have worked in a sanctuary and shelter as well. An additional note is I am experienced in administering medications and how to deescalate situations whether medical or otherwise. I do work with pets with behavioral concerns and would like to be notified if there are any triggers or aggression (people or dogs) please let us know so we can work together accordingly. I communicate effectively and work to make you feel comfortable all together. ❤️ hope you guys find us of interest Jada’s schedule: currently only available evenings and weekends , school occasionally (early mornings/nights), we should know almost 24 hours in advance for any care We would specifically only be working in owners home or outside of owners home as we currently stay with our own pets and have low space.

“Laurie Beth is simply amazing! I have two vocal beagles, one of which has severe anxiety and is epileptic. This dog is very slow to warm up to people. It took a bit but Laurie Beth got her to come around and even got kisses! I was stunned. Laurie was very punctual and sent videos and pictures. She treated my babies and our home like they were her own. Going out of town is now much easier. She will be sitting for us in the future”

Dana is wonderful and kind with my dogs. She took great care of my dogs and took photos of my dogs. That helped me knowing my dogs are good with her. Dana also communicated with me with questions. Dana is a dog lover and I can trust her with my dogs. You will not be disappointed. I give her 5 stars!

Nutan was very professional and caring for Tex! She had some personal trouble before the appointment but still made the effort to be here and did a great job with my fur baby! I would 100% use her again. Nutan is very knowledgeable about animals and personable with both me and Tex.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Sunnyslope walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Sunnyslope maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Sunnyslope choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
