This journey started after volunteering for a few months at a local humane society and wanting to spend more of our time with dogs. Since starting our Rover journey, we have been trusted with the privilege of caring for many of our friends' and family's dogs. With us, you can be sure that your dog will be in the hands of someone who enjoys dogs and their loving nature! == MEET AND GREETS == We personally do not require meet and greets but are more than willing to accomodate your request to have one, as we understand and value a mutually harmonious fit between all parties. Meet and greets will take place in the front yard and be limited to 10-15 minutes. Also, please know that we do not give tours due to liability reasons, however there are pictures on our profile to reference if needed. Our home is spacious, safe, secure and clean! PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: Daycare rates cover up to 12 hours ( pricing can be adjusted for half days etc) Boarding rates covers 24 hours *If a daycare stay exceeds 12 hours, additional rates will be automatically applied. **If a boarding stay exceeds 24 hours by more than 2 hours, additional rates will be automatically applied. ***A convenience fee of $10 will be applied to any drop off or pick up prior to 7am. We are committed to have a dog loving and caring life while balancing our "weekends". We are typically able to accommodate changes in your schedule/needs to adjust pick up and drop off times. Please let us know as soon as possible about any adjustments needed. == DURING YOUR PUPS STAY == Upon a dog's first arrival, we strictly monitor their interactions with any other dog to be aware of any dynamics we need to be concerned about. We do not hesitate to separate dogs into different play areas if anything seems off. Our property is fully fenced on all sides, and we have gates to keep even the best escape artist pups safe. Dogs have full access to our entire downstairs which open up to a well-maintained fenced in yard. == FEEDING == During feeding time, your dog will fed in their crate or a play pen area to prevent food aggression and upset stomachs caused by consuming foreign dog food of other pups. == SLEEPING == Crate-trained dogs will sleep in crates (please specify if your dog is used to a certain size, as we have a wide variety of sizes available. Dogs who are not crate trained will sleep in a pen. Special accommodations can be made for dogs who are not able to do either of those. == WALKS == While it is our goal to make sure each dog get proper exercise and socialization, we do not provide walks during boarding due to liability and risk factors involved with walks (dogs escaping from harness, eating something off the side walk, coming into contact with an unfriendly dog, etc). We do, however give them plenty of outdoor time with the other dogs or solo to socialize and play, which we find is ample exercise for the pups that stay with us. REQUESTED INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR PET Prior to dropping off, please fill out your dog's bio as much as possible. == THINGS WE WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR DOG == -Is your pup sick and/or contagious? -Quirks or habits that would be helpful to know (humping, chewing on paws, separation anxiety, excessive barking, etc). -Current or past illnesses, injuries, or traumatic history/triggers. -If they are taking any medication or require any special care instructions. -Is your pup up to date on vaccinations and flea & tick medication. We understand vaccines are not bulletproof and that some illnesses may have an extended incubation period but we highly recommend the vaccines to create the safest experience. *Please know that we are unable to care for sick/contagious dogs. If your pup shows any signs of disease or illness, please let us know beforehand so we can make sure you receive a proper refund. If we discover that your pup is exhibiting obvious symptoms of disease with the first 12 hours with us, your dog will need to be picked up and no refund will be issued. I work 2-3 days a week. Spouse is a stay at home mother. One of us is always at home and available to give your fur baby all of the attention that they need! Trustworthy military member (20 yrs of active-duty service). We can provide care in our home or come to you. I also work as a full-time volunteer for Chesapeake Humane Society helping with dog care team and enrichment.

My pup did not want for walks, cuddle time, food or water. A schedule was kept by Kaitlyn that was more regular than what even I can do consistently due to work. Communication with Kaitlyn was easy and consistent, which included multiple updates a day and confirmation for anything that arose. About: I’ve been taking care of animals for about 9 years I’ve grown up with dogs and cats and currently have a cat of my own, I love animals and I will always make sure they are taken care of. I am very nice and caring person when it comes to animals. I’m currently working part time I got off around 2pm and I go to work at 7pm, I’m always home after wards, so anything works for me. I am willing to clean up after your dog if needed, I will feed and hydrate them as needed and I will play and take them on walks as much possible.

About: I love animals. I have had pets my whole life. Dogs, cats, fish, and hamsters have been my best friends. I will treat your baby like they’re mine. I can handle everything you could possibly need. I have experience with pregnant, nursing, anxious and high strung animals and I can administer medications. I have taken care of animals from birth thru death and everything in between. You can rest assured that I will be playing with your baby and loving them for you while you’re away. I work from home and set my own schedule so I can usually make anything work. I might have an appointment that would require me to be gone a few hours but I will let you know at booking and you can decide if that’s ok or not. I will treat your home like it is my own. About: I grew up with lots of animals and have plenty of experience. I have experience with senior animals. I have some experience in dog training as I trained my Labrador Retriever as a puppy in doggie obedience school. My Lab is now currently a senior doggie. We breed and raise pedigreed Mini Rex, and pedigreed Netherland Dwarf bunnies for showing and pets. My husband also has experience working with a vet some years ago, as well as experience in dog breeding. I homeschool a preteen and teenager. I'll be able to look after your pet so he or she will not have to stay crated all alone at home. Can provide frequent potty breaks for your pets. Our dogs stay on heartworm, flea, and tick prevention. We do have some caged pets but they will be in a separate part of the house during boarding 🙂

About: As a stay at home and home school mom there is usually always someone home to love and play with our (your) animals. We have two daughters (17 & 15) and one son (10). *I’ve recently updated this profile to include the following: As an owner to two small dogs myself, I understand the worry and anxiety of leaving my small, fragile, pup, in the care of others who may have larger dogs coming and going where an accident can happen. I don’t like to take chances with one of my own, or one of yours getting hurt. Even by accident. I’ve recently updated my profile to only accept dogs up to a certain pound. He comes in for freezing temperatures, over night to sleep, or heat advisories only. He’d rather be outside. All three get along with ALL animals, strays, neighbor’s yorkies’, neighbors dogs, etc. We have two acres of yard with a fenced in area that has a dog house, goat house, tree house, etc. which is where he stays. We are an animal loving family. No young kids that harm or hurt in any way. Your pets are guaranteed a “spoiled rotten” experience for sure. Schedule We are home most of the time. We let the pups run around and play inside. We prefer inside dogs over outside dogs, but will take the dogs outside many, many times to walk, run, and play. Just I inform us of their home habits of how often they like to go out. Safety, trust & environment- I am highly protective over the dogs well being. Safety and emotionally. We use leashes when walking/running your dog and to let them out to use the bathroom. Dogs are fed at separate locations to ensure no jealousy and fights. Not to mention stolen food and a hungry pup. The dogs we sit for sleep in the master bedroom. We sleep with the door shut. This is to ensure we can always have eyes and ears on your pup. No accidents or trouble to get into. They seem to like having the constant company around them, even if we are asleep, they know they’re not alone.
