“Daisy had an amazing second visit. She was happy to return as she ran voluntarily back into the back yard when we arrived. It always feels good to leave a pet where you know they are happy and well taken care of. I was sent many pictures of daisy throughout the 5 day visit. Daisy will most certainly be visiting John and Zena during my next work trip.”

“This was my first time using rover and Courtney made it such a great experience! I was grateful to receive little updates while we were away which gave me peace of mind. Definitely recommend!”

“Can’t say enough great things about the care that James C. & wife provided to our elderly dog while we were on vacation. They were willing to take Apollo at the last minute when our previous boarding reservations fell through. Our dog had recently experienced a spider bite with subsequent need for wound care & medication. Couldn’t have asked for better care due to their knowledge & experience. They provided updates & readily responding when we had questions. Would highly recommend!”

“Shelly should be your 1st choice as a sitter - ALWAYS! She definitely treats those in her care as part of her family. I didn’t worry from the minute that I dropped Luna off to the minute I picked her up - I knew she would be loved and cared for. Shelly sent me updates daily - little slices of Luna’s day that always made me smile. Don’t hesitate to choose Shelly for your caretaking needs. She is worth every penny!”

“Morgan did an awesome job taking care of our puppies! Kept me updated daily on how things were going and sent pictures. Most definitely will use her again and refer her to any friends in search of a sitter. Thank you Morgan!”

“Megan was amazing I recently boarded my rescue Prince for the first time, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Megan took such amazing care of Prince during his two-night stay. She went above and beyond—sending me some of the best photos and videos I’ve ever had of him, including clips of him playing and socializing with larger dogs (which was a first for him!). It meant so much to see him having that kind of fun and confidence. Megan also kept me updated with daily “doggy report cards” and personalized notes, which were such a thoughtful touch. When I picked him up, it was clear he had an incredible time—he was almost sad to leave! He even made a new best friend with her dog, Kava. I’m so grateful for the care and attention Megan gave, and I will absolutely be booking with her again. Truly a 5-star experience from start to finish!”

“Communication was great! For our first time we felt so comfortable leaving our baby! I was a nervous wreck but was constantly comforted with messages and pictures! She was in great hands during our absence. When we left she was so excited to see us but also so sad to leave her new family. Looking forward to future visits. Thank you for taking great care of our girl and for being so flexible!”

“What an incredible family taking care of our new puppy called Ziggy. We live abroad and needed a sitter until we could take him over full time. They were so easy to communicate with and so helpful with everything from change of food, treats, to teaching him demands and keeping him safe. He has been playing non stop with their house dog as well as with other dogs they have sat through the more than one month they took care of Ziggy. I can’t be thankful enough. Your dog will be safe with this family, I can assure you this! Thank you Maria & Matthew 🙏🏻”

“10/10! Cassandra and Tradd were amazing!!! Cassandra sent me photos throughout my pup’s stay, and gave frequent updates. She was very responsive and super friendly! Great home, great people. Will be using again!”

“Lauren had great communication before and during. Thankful she was able to accommodate our last minute request. Highly recommend lauren. Thank you again and have a blessed holiday.”

“This is Finn's 2nd time going to Melody & Matthew and he absolutely loves it. They make him feel welcome! He loves having other dogs to play with. Melody keeps me updated with pictures and quick replies. When a situation arise, she quickly notified me. He is wore out for the next couple of days after visiting with them.”

“Michael responded quickly to our booking request and coordinated a meet and greet with his own dog. His yard is a great set up for dogs to run and play. with a high fence for those that may like to jump. He and his wife were great with our furbaby, Lizzie. He sent pictures and updates throughout the visit and I felt like my pup was just part of the family. So much better than any boarding facility! Looking forward to having her stay there again.”

“Christianna was willing to keep our black lab Tazz over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were pleased that Christianna helped us out at the last minute and was flexible about the drop off and pick-up of our pet. The backyard is very large and has a 6' high wooden fence. Tazz seemed happy in all the photos shared over the seven day period. She was happy and healthy when we returned to pick her up. We have discovered that dropping Tazz off in Elizabeth City as we head north to Washington DC adds only 15 minutes one way to the drive. I would definitely leave Tazz with Christianna again.”

“Marcia was very accommodating when we asked to extend our dog’s stay. We could tell our dog was well cared for and enjoyed her time with Marcia and her family. Recommend booking with her!”

“we absolutely adore shannon! she treats our cooper like one of her own + always sends great pictures and videos. cooper loves her house just as much as ours.”

“This was our first time leaving our little Golden doodle with Samantha. I will say, I was a bit intimidated by leaving him with a pit bull there, but upon meeting the pit bull he was the sweetest big dog ever. My worries immediately vanished! There were a couple other dogs there, so that was nice. There was one dog a bit too interested in my little guy, so I didn’t want to leave until he calmed down. Samantha never made me feel rushed to leave or weird. She was super patient and asking me if I wanted the dogs split up, or inside or outside. I really thought that said a lot about the person I was leaving our baby with and I really liked that. I say all that to say, you can’t always control how dogs will interact with each other, but you can control how you react to them and Samantha was very calm, kind and friendly. She never looked overwhelmed or nervous. She was a bit embarrassed I think because of the initial behavior of this other dog she was caring for, but I understood that wasn’t a reflection of her care. We left out little guy there 3 days and she communicated through the day with updates, sent photos and even went the extra step of boiling and egg to mix it with my dogs food since we do that for him at home too. I’m thankful we found someone to watch our guy for when we need it! Highly recommend! 10 out of 10!”

“I can't express how "Grateful" I am to have located Beverly on your site, her professionalism, knowledge and Love of my Sasha, and pets in general, are immeasurable. She updated this anxious Mommy with many pictures, emails and videos, during my short separation from Ms. Sasha. Also, when I returned to retrieve Sasha, she smelled/looked well groomed, with a bow to top it off. I will "Definitely" use her service again, and again, whenever she is available.”

About: Spent my entire life around various types of pets (Cats, Dogs, Reptiles) to include a few exotic animals. I have additionally trained all of my own pets through the years through time and repetition. I love animals and treat them as I would any human. They are after all mans best friend (Doesn't just apply to dogs). I am currently Active Duty Military, however I am available most weekends as well as early morning time frames and later afternoon/evenings. Talk to me about what your needs are and more than likely I can accommodate. I have a decent sized yard with 4 friendly and well trained dogs of my own, if your dog were to be at my house. If Not I have the option to bring one of my furry friends for a play date during a check in or whatever may be required. My dogs range from senior to Junior age group (2 years to 11). Communication is key, you tell me what you need or would like to see and I do what I can to accommodate. Quality care for our friends is what I aim to provide.

“Our kitty was so grateful for having Laura come in and care for her. By the end of the three drop in visits our kitty , who is very reserved around unfamiliar people, was playing with Laura. Laura did all the tasks we asked of her and also grabbed some packages and put inside! She was great!”

About: I have experience working with animals of all breeds/species. I used to work for a boarding/daycare/grooming facility that was also connected to a vets office. I’m familiar with farm animals, dogs, cats, most small pets, and reptiles. I had my own horse for 17 years. Currently I have two German Shepherds who are both 4 years old- so I’m very familiar with working breeds! *I have experience with administering medications and animal first aid* I’m currently a stay at home mom and have full availability. More than likely my son will be with me for drop in visits- but for house sitting, arrangements can be made if necessary! With my two being a working breed we go on a lot of walks, and play a lot of fetch. But they also know how to be couch potatoes! Either way I can follow the lifestyle your pet is used to whether it be cuddles and lounging or going outside to play. I’m all about communication so pictures and daily check ins are something I like to provide!
About: Hey, my name is Janna Reeves. I am located in Belvidere, NC. Trying to descirbe my passion and love for animals is unexplainable. Just look at how many animals I have! I got into Rover to build a customer base for when I can open my dream rescue and training facility. I love taking care of animals, no matter their shape or size. I know how important it is to leave your animals in trusting hands now and days. I’m an anxious mess when I leave behind mine. If I can give just the slightest bit of relief to you and your family while you are away from your furbabies, that’s my goal! I listen to instructions and am not aftaid to say my thoughts and questions, if any. I am always willing to accommodate your babies needs. I am willing to help my client and their family as much as I possibly can. Pictures and videos will be provided and you can even ask for more. I like to send updates throughout the day and I will send pictures as well. If any problems arise while they are in my care, you will be contacted immediately. I will treat your animals how I would want mine to be treated by others. I am currently working from home as a stay at home mom. Your pets care and needs will fit in to my schedule as if they were my own. I would care for your pets as if they were mine. I want your furbabies to feel like nothing had changed despite your absence. I strive to make sure they are comfortable and happy!
“Skylar was great at communicating and responding quickly when booking for a sitter for our fur babies. She came to meet the girls first and both of my cats loved her from the beginning. She kept us to up the date with the girls and would send pictures all the time, which I loved. Would definitely recommend Skylar!”

About: What sets me apart is that I truly understand cats and respect their individual personalities. I don’t force interaction—whether your cat is playful, shy, or independent, I meet them where they are and earn their trust at their pace.
“We had a wonderful experience with Amber for our first time ever leaving our dogs to to attended to by someone other than family. She provided up with updates on her visit and pictures/videos daily. One of our dogs is slower to make new friends, and it was so sweet to see the progress he made during the week becoming friendly with Amber. Seeing my dogs were in such great hands definitely put my mind and heart at ease while we were gone. We will definitely look to use Amber again in the future when needed!”

“Maddi was awesome!! We received many pictures and my pup obivously loved her. She made my wedding day a breeze knowing Bella was in good hands. We will definitely book her again!”

“Melody has done a great job of taking care of Victoria. We are pleased to have her. I feel very fortunate to have Melody and Matthew taking care of our Victoria”
“I was reluctant to use rover because I haven’t been away from my cat before but she was amazing!! She gave daily updates and pictures and made me feel comfortable with the idea of rover. Will 100% book her again the next time I leave town 🩷”

About: With several years of cat sitting experience I’ve helped neighbors, friends, and family by providing check-ins, feeding, and playtime. I know how important it is to keep cats comfortable in their own environment with their own routine, and I’ll treat your Cat/cats with the same care and patience I’d give my own.

About: Cat sitting is a calm and rewarding experience. When I arrive, I make sure the cat has fresh food, water, and a clean litter box. At first, some cats may be shy and keep their distance, so I give them space and move gently around them. Over time, the cats become more comfortable. Some will come up for attention, while others prefer to relax nearby. I follow their routine and pay attention to their behavior to make sure they are happy and healthy. Cat sitting is about being patient, respectful, and making sure the cat feels safe and cared for while their owner is away.

“I can’t recommend Kaylan enough! From the very beginning, she went above and beyond, not just checking the boxes, but truly caring for my animals like they were her own. Her updates were the perfect mix of hilarious and helpful (seriously, I looked forward to them like a mini comedy show), and they gave me total peace of mind while I was away. The real magic? My skittish barn cat, who usually acts like humans are a myth, actually walked past her like she belonged there. That’s a miracle in itself and says everything about her energy and patience. She clearly has a genuine knack for animals, even the tough cookies. If you’re looking for someone who’s not only responsible but has a true gift with animals (and a great sense of humor), Kaylan is the one!”

“Robert was amazing with my two dogs! He kept me updated with photos and took great care of them while I was away. They were happy and relaxed when I got back. Highly recommend him!”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life, growing up with 10 German Shepards has provided me with a lot of experience. I will ensure your dog gets the best care possible! I look forward to taking care of your fur baby! :) My schedule is very flexible and I am currently working part time, so i will have plenty of time to play with your fur baby! I have a fenced in yard and 1 German Shepard to keep your fur baby company. A crate must be provided with food & bowls.

“Alyssa was awesome! We have an elderly cat who has recently lost his sight and is very skittish. We were nervous to leave him while we were traveling, but Alyssa quickly put us at ease. She kept us updated with thoughtful and thorough check-ins and was kind, patient, and consistent with us and our cat! As a result, our very nervous cat warmed right up to her and we had the confidence to relax and enjoy our trip. We will definitely be booking with her again in the future!”

About: I am a true animal lover. I have a level of empathy for pets that most people think is crazy. Your pet is part of your family and will be part of mine as well. I have a lot of love to give. I am more then happy to accept a million phone calls and texts because I know top care is important. I am patient and understanding and take the time to help with house breaking and learn new tricks. I use to breed Siberian huskies. That is one of the most energetic and mischevious breeds out there. I help with a local rescue in rehoming and donations. I am also actively involved with helping take strays to local vets and following up with owners. My family consists of me, my husband and our five children. There is always someone to give love and attention. We keep our own pets somewhat on a schedule and we play a lot in our back yard. I have a large fenced in yard and three very active dogs who enjoy to play. I also have 5 indoor cats. I can easily crate if needed.
“Kristin was absolutely the best! Goose got so excited each day I dropped him off. Kristin was flexible with my changing work schedule and so loving towards my sweet boy. Will definitely be using her to care for my pup again.”

“Michael and his wife took such great care of our puppy and made me feel such at ease being away! He sent updates throughout the day and the pictures he took of her were amazing! Highly recommended, he is now my go-to person!”

“Rhonda was warm and friendly! It seems that Dakota had a very interesting visit with her. This was the first time we had him to a sitter. He came home exhausted and happy!!”

“The best doggie day camp available. Julie, her boys, the dogs, cats, etc. took the best care of my 2 month old Aussie. Even working on obedience and crate training. Highly recommend.”
About: I have been raised around both dogs and cats. I have boarded dogs multiple times from a month up to a year with two cats that love meeting new friends. I have experience bathing and taking care of both dogs and cats and love to keep them entertained with playtime ,indoors for cats, and outdoors with dogs in the large fenced yard that gives them room to run around and play! Hi! I’m Morgan, and I’d love to welcome your dog into our home while you’re away. As a stay-at-home mom, I’m home throughout the day, so your pup will receive lots of attention, companionship, and care. I understand that every dog has their own routine and personality, and I’ll do my best to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while they’re with us. Our home features a secure, fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely run and play, along with a quiet, dog-friendly neighborhood that’s perfect for daily walks and plenty of opportunities to explore. During your dog’s stay, you can expect: • Lots of supervised playtime and outdoor time • Daily walks (if your dog enjoys them) • Plenty of love, attention, and cuddles • Daily photo and video updates so you can see how they’re doing • Feeding and care based on your dog’s normal routine • Oral and other routine medication administration, if needed Your dog’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I ask that all dogs are up to date on vaccinations, are comfortable around young children, and are friendly with other people. I know how important it is to find someone you trust with your best friend. I’ll care for your dog as if they were my own and make sure they have a fun, safe, and loving stay. I look forward to meeting you and your pup! I care for all family members (animals) as the same way I do my own. If they are at my home they will have the best playtimes inside and outside (depending on type) with multiple toys and freedom to be comfortable with tons of cuddles! If I am at the owners home they will have that same freedom and following the owners wishes will still provide lots of playtime, cuddle time, and affection!
About: As a stay at home and home school mom there is usually always someone home to love and play with our (your) animals. We have two daughters (17 & 15) and one son (10). *I’ve recently updated this profile to include the following: As an owner to two small dogs myself, I understand the worry and anxiety of leaving my small, fragile, pup, in the care of others who may have larger dogs coming and going where an accident can happen. I don’t like to take chances with one of my own, or one of yours getting hurt. Even by accident. I’ve recently updated my profile to only accept dogs up to a certain pound. This will help with my profile score, for the many dogs I’ve had to turn down. However, if you are a prior client, I will accept your larger dog (they’ve all been wonderful and fine because of my judgement at meet and greet) and in addition any future clients who have a small dog/big dog combo, I will consider a meet and greet to verify we would be a good fit and will make exceptions on a case by case. I will not be sitting for more than one family at a time. I’d like to advertise our service as a small dog oasis. We have tons of toys, treats, dogs beds, and love to offer to spoil and keep your little ones happy and safe. I know the peace and ease of mind I offer will stand out. I send pictures, and/or videos, daily, unless you ask me not to. I will also FaceTime you with your pet, upon request. * We have a 5 year old, 10lb Maltipoo, who acts more like an indoor cat, (sleeps a lot) and follows me everywhere, a 9 month old, 7lb, Malshi (Maltese Shitzu), who is a baby and wants to play with her toys all the time. We also have a 4 year old yellow lab, Sam, who acts like a lab. Aren’t they all full of energy? Sam likes to stay outside and loves his job as a guardian dog to our miniature goats. He comes in for freezing temperatures, over night to sleep, or heat advisories only. He’d rather be outside. All three get along with ALL animals, strays, neighbor’s yorkies’, neighbors dogs, etc. We have two acres of yard with a fenced in area that has a dog house, goat house, tree house, etc. which is where he stays. We are an animal loving family. No young kids that harm or hurt in any way. Your pets are guaranteed a “spoiled rotten” experience for sure. Schedule We are home most of the time. We let the pups run around and play inside. We prefer inside dogs over outside dogs, but will take the dogs outside many, many times to walk, run, and play. Just I inform us of their home habits of how often they like to go out. Safety, trust & environment- I am highly protective over the dogs well being. Safety and emotionally. We use leashes when walking/running your dog and to let them out to use the bathroom. Dogs are fed at separate locations to ensure no jealousy and fights. Not to mention stolen food and a hungry pup. The dogs we sit for sleep in the master bedroom. We sleep with the door shut. This is to ensure we can always have eyes and ears on your pup. No accidents or trouble to get into. They seem to like having the constant company around them, even if we are asleep, they know they’re not alone.
About: Hello there! My name is Jessica & I have grown up with pets my whole life and have had experience with several other species which has included dogs, cats, birds, ferrets, and even fish. I'm even a fan of reptiles! I believe pets play a very important role in their human pals life and teach us so much about life and the kind of love that I have for my dog has taught me just that! Your pet(s) will find pals with my family & our dog Orie. Know that if you choose me to walk or watch your pet(s), they will be treated like a family member. Look forward to meeting your pet(s) and hopefully gain a new friendship through a mutual love for our animals.

“Megan is the best sitter ever! She made me feel so comfortable through the entire process. She sent amazing update photos and gave a cute doggy report card at the end of the day. I’m so happy with the experience and will definitely book her again ASAP”

“Christianna is wonderful! They are great with Copper, and she is usually always available late notice! I always receive pictures during the stay, and updates on food and potty breaks. Copper is always very excited when we arrive at Christianna's house, and he is always so happy when I pick him up. I would definitely recommend Christianna!!”

“We are so appreciative of Ricardo and his family opening up their home for our dogs. Taking it slow and making sure they have a good time while we are getting settled into our new house. We get pictures and updates throughout the day and our dogs are so excited to get there to spend the day. Very grateful to have found them nearby to us.”

“Eric helped us out on short notice and was very responsive throughout the stay. Our dog, Mylo, was well taken care of and all tuckered out when we picked him up🙂 We will definitely reach out again when we are back in the area!”

“This family was great with my pomchi! They showed my puppy nothing but love and she loved them in return! I had to book with them last minute and they were okay with it and very flexible with their time and availability. I would definitely book again! Thank you so much!”

About: I’ve taken care of my dog and my aunt’s dog since I was nine. I’m twenty now and both of my fur babies are still kicking, barking, and happy. I’ve always loved animals, even helping to rescue some when I was little such as these two baby ducks and other little birdies and frogs too. In school, my teacher had a pet chameleon and turtle and I always was excited to help feed them. I actually started majoring in Biology at first in college to be a veterinarian or zoologist. I have a different path now to help children but I still have a passion for pets and other beautiful creatures of this Earth. I will take care of your fur babies just like I did mine and love them just as much. I am a college student as mentioned before so my current schedule is MWF and Tues and Thurs to be free after 11:15 am. However, I do live on campus in Norfolk at ODU so I can take business there as well but mainly for dog walking and pet sitting at your residence. I do rely on my mother, brother or friends for transportation but they are willing to help snd be available as needed. Please give me a chance and you won’t regret it. :) I make sure the pets first get to know me, smell me, and recognize me to be comfortable with me. Then, I interact with them more by playing with them and giving them rubs and cuddles so they can feel more connected and comfortable. Then, definitely make sure they eat and drink the right food for their health and nourishment. Then, walk them so they can do their business and get exercise and always make sure they have a leash on. Next, make sure they are groomed and cleaned well and freshen up from the outdoors. Then spend more time with them until our fun is over and they are returned with their beloved owners. I will have a whole day well planned and you and your fur babies will appreciate it. :)
“First time using this app, and I feel like this is a winner! Jane took WONDERFUL care of my pup, sent frequent update photos, engaged with her, and had very wonderful communication. This is an awesome first impression, thank you soooo much Jane! Will definitely be reaching out again.”

“Daisy had a great time with Cassandra and Tradd. She had a fun time playing with noodle and macaroni as well as their two children. Very thankful we found them and absolutely intend on reaching out the next time we are going out of town!”

My husband also has experience working with a vet some years ago, as well as experience in dog breeding. So I have even more experience as backup if need be. I homeschool a preteen and teenager.
About: Caring for and loving dogs has always been a passion of mine! I have a relaxed and jovial demeanor that they seem to gravitate to. I’ve owned 3 dogs so far of 3 separate weights, so I know how to cater to dogs of different sizes and personalities. I currently live in an apartment with lots of open spaces nearby for playing and walking. I always treat pets (dogs and cats too) in my care as I would my own, which is slightly spoiled but still disciplined. If you give me your trust, I will bring your pup or kitty happier and ready for more playtime! However, I do request that owners with dogs with behavioral issues notify me about them up front so I may work with them closer one-on-one. I'm currently working full-time in the Navy every 4 days, so I can watch pets on my off time. Four days a week on and off. I care for pets by learning their personalities, likes and dislikes, eating preferences, bathroom needs, what motivates them (toys, food, attention) and go from there.
About: My first two pets were 2 doggies at 9 months old. I had them for 17 years until they left for doggy heaven October 2024 and February 2025… I am not ready to fully commit again quite yet so decided babysitting and loving on others’ furbabies will help the healing. Work from home all week. Will be able to take care of them in home and overnight if needed! I will accomodate to all requests and needs. Will appreciate details such as age, allergies, health, likes and dislikes. Will treat your baby/babies like they are my own. Will walk them as I have a dog friendly neighborhood as well as a newly built dog park. The backyard is also fenced.

“Robbyn was excellent! She was reliable and responsive. She would answer my questions at all hours of the day. She allowed my dog to go at his own pace and even picked up on his little nuances like wanting to carry his own leash. Highly recommended!”

About: I've been an animal lover all of my life. I had cats for most of my childhood and early adulthood. They were my best buddies who cuddled and slept with me, as well as posed for drawings and paintings. About 18 years ago I adopted a pit mix, named Humble. He was the most gentle giant you could ever meet. He accompanied me on camping and hiking trips in Maine. He passed away a few years ago. Now I'm the lucky mom of a rescue dog named Chance. He is an 8 year old undetermined breed. He may be a Doxie mixed with Papillion. I rescued him from the streets of China. I was working as an ESL teacher in Shenzhen,China at the time. He is one of my best friends and I spoil him with lots of love, treats and walks. I am a certified yoga teacher, artist and pet care provider. I started out pet sitting as a side business to earn some extra money, but it has become so much more than that. It is such a rewarding job and a great honor to care for so many beautiful animals! I will take great care of your fur babies and your home. You can have peace of mind with me as your pet sitter. I can't wait to meet you and your pets! I do receive an hour lunch most days I am scheduled therefore, if you live close to Main Street in Suffolk I will gladly stop by for a potty break during my lunch on days that I work a long shift. I do require meet and greets before the first initial drop in, sitting or walk so I am able to meet you and your pet. I would like to know: •Your pets allergies •Your pets normal routine to keep it as normal as possible •Do they get along with other dogs or cats •Their habits (good or naughty if they have any) •Any training routine that should be kept consistent •Dietary needs Thank you for taking your time to look into my services!

“Nathan was amazing with our golden retriever, Rosie, while my family and I were away on a trip. He was incredibly attentive and caring throughout her stay, making it extra special with toys, space to play, and daily activities to keep her entertained. His kids loved her and took great care of her as well, which was so heartwarming. Nathan kept me updated daily with photos and messages, giving us peace of mind. I highly recommend Nathan to anyone looking for someone who will truly treat their pets like family!”

“Kristin, James, & Hannah were amazing! They took such great care of Theo and sent me pictures and updates to let me know how he was doing. They were incredibly kind to both Theo and I. It gave me peace of mind knowing he was in great hands.”

“Charlie had an awesome time during his extended stay with Renata. Lots of outside play and relaxation time allowed Charlie to have a nice vacation of his own while we were away. Communication and updates were easy and frequent during the stay. I highly recommend Renata for your dog boarding needs and I know Charlie would love to stay again soon.”
