“Jennifer did an amazing job watching our 2 beagles and while we were away! I love that she sent sent us pictures every day and she took the time to come over and meet the dogs beforehand and spent plenty of time getting to know them! I will definitely be using Jennifer in the future!”

About: I grew up with dogs and have had an extensive career in the Animal Health Industry, selling veterinary pharmaceuticals for 25 years, and also working as a client services representative at a busy emergency and referral veterinary center. Not only did I grow up with dogs but I have had my own dogs as an adult, which I actually got because the family I was sitting for could no longer keep them and asked if I would like to make it a permanent situation. I cared for both of them into their senior years and became proficient at managing their medical conditions that arose from aging (diabetes and canine cognitive disorder). My two boys required very extensive care and routine insulin administration for my diabetic as well as additional medications that I became very proficient in administering, even if they were particular about taking pills, etc. I am very knowledgeable in how to manage multiple dogs at once, how to keep dogs safe in various environments, and a good eye for anything that may indicate they may not be feeling their best. When I had my guys, I would often trade sitting and walking favors with my fellow dog owners so I have had a lot of experience sitting for and walking other dogs throughout my life. My goal is to give peace of mind to dog owners that they can go on vacation, business trips, day trips, or just out anywhere, and they will know that their dog is in great, loving hands. I am currently working full-time but I am off on Thursdays and Fridays and I can also take on pets in the evenings after work. When sitting for your pet I can take them out on my lunch hour if necessary. I would follow any requests that you have in order to make your pet as comfortable as they are when you are there. I am very familiar with local walking trails and parks that are pet friendly.

About: My pet care experience starts when I was just a kid. Growing up my family has always had dogs, which taught me about how to take care of them (walking, feeding and playing) from a young age. I have also watched and walked my neighbors dogs many times. At one point my family had three Labrador retriever's which allowed me to not only know how dogs interact with people but also other dogs. I stand out as a dog walker/sitter because I have lots of experience with handling medium/big dogs that have lots of energy and I enjoy spending time with dogs. I am also the type of dog walker/sitter that wants to develop a personal relationship with your dog and get to know them well.

I love being outside and staying on a consistent schedule—perfect for keeping dogs happy and cared for! Caring for pets, whether in your own home or a client’s home, involves a combination of regular attention, proper feeding, exercise, grooming, and emotional care. Here’s a breakdown of how I might approach pet care depending on the service I offer: 1. Pet Sitting (In Client’s Home or Own Home) • Feeding: Follow the pet’s regular feeding schedule and adjust based on dietary needs or special instructions from the owner. • Exercise: Ensure that pets get enough physical activity through walks, playtime, or other engaging activities. • Grooming: Brush pets regularly to maintain their coat and avoid matting (especially for long-haired breeds). Bathe them as needed, depending on the breed and the owner’s preferences. • Health & Safety: Monitor the pet’s health for any changes, such as a decrease in appetite, lethargy, or signs of illness. Administer any medications as directed by the owner. • Companionship: Provide attention, playtime, and comfort to ensure the pet doesn’t feel lonely or anxious. This might include cuddling, talking to them, or simply being around. • Cleaning: Ensure the pet’s living environment is clean, including regularly changing litter boxes for cats or cleaning up after dogs. 2. Dog Walking • Exercise: Provide regular walks to ensure that the pet gets the necessary physical and mental stimulation. The duration and intensity of the walk depend on the breed, age, and health of the dog. • Safety: Ensure the dog is safe during walks by using a sturdy leash, avoiding busy traffic areas, and monitoring for any signs of discomfort. • Playtime: If there is time, include some interactive play (e.g., fetch or tug-of-war) during the walk to engage the dog mentally. 3. Pet Boarding (In Your Home) • Comfort: Provide a safe, comfortable space with a designated sleeping area, food, and water station. • Socialization: If appropriate, allow pets to socialize with other animals (especially if they are accustomed to it). • Routine: Keep the pet on a similar routine as they would have at home, with regular meals, walks, and bathroom breaks. 4. General Tips for Pet Care • Communication: Keep the pet owner updated regularly on their pet’s well-being, sharing any observations, concerns, or funny moments. • Emergency Preparedness: Know where the nearest vet is and be prepared for any emergencies, including having a list of the pet’s medical details and contact information. By focusing on the pet’s specific needs and preferences, both physical and emotional, I can ensure they feel safe, loved, and well-cared for.

About: We recently moved back to our roots to a spot right off South St. In Oconomowoc. We had our dog sitting business in San Diego, CA and will miss our furry friends so much! My husband and I both love animals very much and have the perfect set-up to host. We enjoy morning and evening cuddles and allow dogs on the couch and bed :) We will take care of your pup just the same as we care for our own. We have a 3.5 year old mutt that we adopted 3 years ago who has brought so much joy to our life! She loves to play and enjoys the dog park/hanging around other dogs as much as she can. She loves walks around the lake as I am sure your pup will too! We both have experience taking care of other dogs and have dog sit for many of our friends and family members for extended periods of time when they are out of town. We can provide pictures as little or as often as you would like. Excited to meet your furry friend soon! I do not currently work and am a lucky stay at home dog mom! I only leave for short periods of time to buy groceries on typical days! When our dog is outside I am always watching/making sure she stays within the yard. If left outside she has a long leash she hangs out on and enjoys watching the squirrels. She has a dog bed outside for days that aren't so warm to lounge in. We also have a large front patio that can be fenced off in case we have a runner on our hands! Moxie loves basking in the sun and shade out there as I am sure yours would too! Water bowls always provided and refreshed as I am home all day.
