About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience as a pet owner my whole life for cats and dogs (I have one Shih-tzu and one cat as of now!). I have also provided walks for other pets for 2 years for my family and friends, offering personalized care and a deep understanding of animal behavior and needs. My passion for pets ensures they receive the attention, love, and exercise they deserve! I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. About: Have been a pet owner all of my life, and experience with all types of animals. I just recently moved to the Huntsville area and have a fenced in backyard on 10 acres of land, toys and a dog of my own who loves playtime and friends. I will have an open schedule and will be home full-time. My schedule will be very flexible, I am looking for one time sitter needs or ongoing scheduled needs. I have a large house with plenty of space for indoor relaxing, and a fenced backyard for exercise & playtime. I have one medium sized dog (Labrador Retriever mix) who is very friendly, both to people and dogs.

About: I’ve taken car of animals all kinds since I was a teenager. I absolutely have a big heart when it come to animals of all breeds an ages. I work full time , but the afternoons works best for me during the weekdays days but I’m available on the weekends full time an Fridays as well I have a big fenced in yard they can play in, an indoors is pretty spacious as well, an have a dog of my own as well.
About: I’ve taken care of animals my whole life. From having turtles, cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, and fish over the years I’ve learned so much about so many different animals! every animal is different just like humans so i strive to make sure they are comfortable with me and trust me how i am with them ! Many friends and family have asked me to watch or take care of their 4 legged babies, so i hope to keep doing it with yalls ! i’m currently working part-time, so that leaves me free from 1pm to anytime. My off days are Wednesday and Fridays, they don’t change! I’m willing to walk, sit, let them out to potty, just run to go check on them, and if they need some extra loving i’m there! Of course if you need anything else i’m here and very flexible! I live in an apartment, so i wouldn’t accept nightly stays at my place, but i’m more than capable over staying at yours ! i know most of the time animals feel more comfortable and safe in their own homes ! I do have a 80 pound dog who i take out 5-6 times a day when i get home, i take him out to the dog area and play with him for hours so he can get some sunshine on him, he’s crate and potty trained, and he LOVES to be cuddled up on anyone !

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
