About: Hi there! I’ve been a proud pet parent for years and have loved every minute of it—from puppy zoomies to kitten cuddles. I’ve raised my own pets since they were little and know just how much love (and treats!) it takes to keep them happy and healthy. I’ve also been the go-to pet sitter for friends and family, caring for both dogs and cats of all personalities and sizes. Whether your fur baby loves long walks, playtime, or just a cozy spot to nap, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, loved, and totally spoiled while you’re away! I am a mom to two young children and sometimes need to bring them with me. I offer flexible pet-sitting services with availability throughout the entire week, including weekends. I’m happy to provide drop-in visits at any time of day, whether your pet needs early morning care, midday check-ins, or evening attention. My schedule is designed to accommodate a variety of routines, so you can feel confident that your pet will receive consistent, reliable care whenever it’s needed. Your pet’s well-being is my top priority, and I care for every animal as if they were my own. I understand how important it is to feel confident that your furry family member is safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. I’m gentle, attentive, and always tuned in to your pet’s unique needs—whether that means extra snuggles, a calm presence, or sticking closely to their daily routine. I’m happy to follow any special care instructions you provide, and I’ll keep you updated with messages and cute photos so you can relax knowing your pet is in loving hands

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my hands-on experience as a pet owner my whole life for cats and dogs (I have one Shih-tzu and one cat as of now!). I have also provided walks for other pets for 2 years for my family and friends, offering personalized care and a deep understanding of animal behavior and needs. My passion for pets ensures they receive the attention, love, and exercise they deserve! I have a flexible schedule that gives me plenty of time to dedicate to pet care. I'm looking to spend my time doing something I genuinely enjoy, and caring for pets is a great fit. Whether it's walks, drop-in visits, or pet sitting, I can easily work them into my daily routine and make sure each pet gets the attention, exercise, and care they need. I treat every pet like they're my own! I make sure they have fresh water, regular meals, plenty of exercise, and lots of attention. I always follow the owner's instructions, whether that's sticking to a feeding schedule, giving medication, or keeping up with their normal routine. I keep the environment clean and safe, watch for anything that seems off, and send regular updates with photos so you know your pet is happy and well cared for. My goal is to help them feel comfortable, relaxed, and loved while you're away.

“Shelby was a life saver and the best dog walker ever. I had to bring my dog to my parents house for an out of state trip for two weeks. My parents are +70 years old and can’t walk my husky dog. I met Shelby and she was the only person I needed to see. Prince loved her immediately so I knew he was in good hands. Shelby gave Prince daily walks for one hour. Took him on trips to dog parks and even gave him a bath on his last day since it was a rainy week. I highly recommend her for any service and if I’m ever back in town with Prince I’ll definitely see if she’s available.”

About: I’m an animal lover and enthusiast who has grown up taking care of all types of pets and worked in the veterinary medicine industry since I was 17 years old. I’m comfortable with pets of all kinds, and because of my job I am comfortable administering medication of all types, including injections. I’m also very willing to work with the more “troublesome” pets. I’m currently in school getting my veterinary technician certification and need help making some extra money on the side. I hope you consider me to take care of and love your fur babies❤️ I currently work part time at a vet clinic and my Classes are usually done by early afternoon so I will have more than enough time to take care of your fur babies as needed. With my working background I am comfortable with any food restrictions, medications, walking, crating, and care your pet may need to be happy and comfortable. I will make sure to give meds, food, and specific care instructions extra attention as needed.

About: I’ve always had a deep love for animals. Growing up, I was the go-to person in my family for all things animal care. In 2019, I adopted the first animal of my own, a Goldendoodle named Cooper. After adopting him my love for animals grew tenfold and I decided animal care is my passion. Since then we have also adopted a Poodle named Callie and two tabby cats named Oliver & Kevin. The love I have for these animals is just indescribable and it’s what made me want to dive into pet care and make this my everyday job. Animals are my true passion and I dream of one day owning my own boarding and daycare facility. I’ve gained valuable experience working as a manager at a local daycare and boarding facility, where I cared for a wide variety of pets. Whether it’s dogs, cats, or any other type of animal, I’m here to provide the best care possible. I’d love to share my experience and provide your pets with the care, comfort, and security they deserve while you’re away. Pet care is my full-time focus, and I’m dedicated to turning my passion into a professional career. Caring for animals is what I do every day, and it’s my number one priority. I’m eager to expand my experience by looking after a variety of pets, beyond just my own. With my flexible schedule, I have plenty of availability throughout the week and am ready to accommodate all kinds of pet care needs. Whether it’s daily walks, overnight care, or just providing companionship, I’m here to give your pets the attention, love, and care they deserve. I’m experienced in all aspects of animal care and take great pride in ensuring each pet feels comfortable and well-cared for. Whether your pet has a unique feeding schedule, requires daily medication, or whatever the case may be, I’m here to provide the individualized care they deserve. FAQs for Dog Walking - Snead

Frequently asked questions about Rover

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.

Whether you want a solo or group walk depends on your dog's personality. Solo walks can be beneficial for dog parents with reactive dogs, puppies, or dogs who are anxious around unfamiliar animals. Many dog walkers on Rover offer private, one-on-one walking services.

Group walks are a good fit for social dogs who enjoy structured walks. If your dog prefers the energy of a group stroll, ask your dog walker about group walks in your Snead. Since all dog walkers are local, they may have a neighborhood dog who is a good walking companion to yours.

For dog walking bookings, your dog walker can send a Rover Card with details about your dog’s walk. Rover Cards require at least one photo and may include a map of the walking route , the total walk time and distance, and any pee or poop breaks recorded by the walker.

The route map lets you review where your dog was walked in Snead after the booking. It is not live GPS tracking.

Have specific details you would like included? Message your dog walker in the app before the walk begins.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

Every walker on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who have never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover; however, you are welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you have previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.

Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you are booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your walker interacts with your pet or the new environment.

During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Meet & Greets are a great way to prepare your pet and walker for longer stays or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet .

walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy , which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.

Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
