About: Growing up we had 5 dogs and I’ve never looked back. I have watched friends and family inpets while on vacation, taken them on walks/hikes, and just dropped by to let them out or feed them during the day. I’ll treat your pet like my own while I’m with them and communicate with you plus photos (everyone likes to get a picture of their pet happy) I am currently a stay at home mom whose son is in school. We are looking to make an extra income to support vacations and activities. I currently have open availability as my husband can help with my son. I currently have 3 dogs (2 dachshunds and a boxer mix) at home with a fenced in yard. We do have crates if they need to be put up at all. I am available to come to your house as well to dog sit if needed!
“Stevie stayed in my home with Miley and Parker for four days and took incredible care of both of them. She made sure they received all of their medications, kept me updated with messages and photos, and gave them so much love and attention. I came home to two happy, relaxed dogs and a house that was just as I left it. Knowing they were so well cared for gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. I'll be booking Stevie every chance I get... so get in line! 😊”

“Yolanda did an excellent job keeping Evan at the very last moment’s notice. I felt assured and comfortable with her and knew she would take great care of my fur baby. She was wonderful and I will definitely use her services again.”

“. My dog is stressed when boarding and has to be heavily medicated. I needed another option, to keep him safe and comfortable. Camryn was the first non family sitter that I have used and I was concerned. She did a great job. Jack was completely comfortable with her and was not at all stressed by my absence. I am very pleased with Camryn's performance.”
About: I have had animals around me since I was literal baby, only in the last 8 or so years have I really got involved in taking care of the fur babies. I will need some notice but am home schooled so I can work from basically anywhere and I can’t work every week because I have my own kitty. My mom is a dog breeder and we constantly have puppies who have weak immune system’s and can’t be around other animals so I can not sit your animal in my home only in the clients house

“Adreahna was so sweet and took great care of our dogs. We are vacationing in the mountains, and we wanted to spend the day and evening sightseeing. We felt at ease knowing a very sweet sitter was with them! I recommend Adreahna for your pet sitter!”

“She took great care of our two dogs. One of them has tons of energy and Laura played lots of ball. I felt great peace of mind that they were being well loved and cared for while I was gone.”

“I can’t say enough good things about Amy ! She was wonderful and took such good care of all of our animals. They did so well even our Great Pyrenees who can be a bit weary of people and doesn’t know. I highly recommend her and we will definitely be using her again !”

About: I’ve been caring for pets since high school and bring decades of hands‑on experience with cats and dogs of all sizes. I’ve cared for puppies/kittens, seniors, given diabetes shots, changed diapers, and handled everything from Sheepdogs to Chihuahuas. I have two small, friendly dogs, a senior cat, and a fully fenced backyard. If your pet is dog‑and cat‑friendly, I’m happy to host them short‑ or long‑term. I truly love animals of all kinds. I am happy to come over and check on your baby, take them for a walk (or stroll), throw a ball or play light flashing, or even daycare for them at my home. I work from home all but two days a week and can modify that as needed. My job is flexible so I am able to take breaks and work my around your schedule. “Amanda was great! She is clearly experienced with big, strong dogs and handled ours with confidence and ease. We especially appreciated how much she walked our dog. It made a big difference. On top of that, she is very personable and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I worked at a vet clinic for a couple of years. I also worked at a dog training facility for a year. I know it’s hard to leave your fur baby behind but I can promise you that they will be safe and definitely loved! I just had a baby and not able to work in the moment. So I’m up early in the morning and up late at night so I’m very flexible! Well I will have to have my baby with me ( just a warning). But I normally treat them as my own. I will walk them every 2-3 hours then I’m there. If the owner has any schedule I follow the schedule or any instructions. I do normally send pictures and videos of the fur baby to the owner and keep them updated with everything.
About: Attention to detail and a love of dogs and cats that i have grown up or had since I was a child. This is a passion of mine. This is my full time job and career. My sister and I started pet sitting in the 90's and have started back up when I made this my full time job after my wifes open heart surgery in 2024. Now my wife and daughter help me run and work the business. I care for my pets by providing as loving atmosphere of play healthy foods and quality care with our vet as needed. This the same for our Pug or 3 cats
About: Animal lover by nature, my connection with animals started as early as I can remember. I carry a deep reverence for them, often connecting more easily with animals than humans throughout my life. I’m trained in wildlife rescue and experienced with all types of animals, and I’m also trained in reiki for animals. My own family includes cats, a dog, a frog, a fish, and a snake, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities and care needs. I move with calm awareness and responsibility in every situation, and I treat animals like family, your pet is guaranteed to be cared for with true intention, presence, and love. I work from home and create my own schedule, which allows me to give pets consistent attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. I’m able to adjust my routine around their needs, whether that’s playtime, feeding, or quiet companionship. I also have a basement apartment space if a pet needs a calm, separate environment away from other animals. In addition, I have a fenced yard on a 1/4 acre lot located on a dead-end road, which provides a safe and quiet space for walks and outdoor time. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their established routines as closely as possible to keep the animal comfortable and stress-free. I pay attention to feeding schedules, walking routines, playtime, and any specific instructions provided. I move with calm awareness, making sure the pet feels safe and at ease in their own environment. I also keep the home clean and respect the space fully while I’m there. My goal is to maintain consistency for the pet and give the owner peace of mind knowing their animal is cared for with intention and attention.
“I was a little apprehensive having somebody stay at the house for a week while we weren’t home to take care of our two fur babies, but I’ve gotta say it was the best decision we could’ve ever made. He was super attentive and the communication was exceptional! We will definitely be using him again.!!! He left the house tidy, and I feel in my soul that our dog and cat were taken care of the same way they would have if we have been home!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Suches walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Suches maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Suches choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Suches. On Rover:
- 97% of sitters can help with special care needs

- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
