About: I’ve had dogs since before I could walk. Anywhere I go I find something fluffy to love on and take care of. You will never see me without dog/cat in my life. If you want a loving, reliable dog sitter treating every pup like family, that’s me! Walks, playtime, cuddles, and personalized care—so you can relax while you're away. I’m currently a full-time student at YHC. However my classes have a few hours in-between perfect for potty breaks and playtime. I work as a server 3 nights a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), but I can visit before and after the shifts (normally 4-6 hours). Spending the night is no worry for me. My life can revolve around the fur-babies easily. I will care for the pets like they are my own, however I’m great at following instructions. Tell me what your pet prefers and they will be spoiled rotten. I can take them for walks, runs, cuddle breaks, and much more.
“Taylor has watched our rambunctious dog Maggie in our home twice (both times for multiple days). He and Maggie have an excellent rapport. They clearly enjoy each other's company! An added plus - Taylor kept the house extremely neat and clean. We will definitely call him again anytime we need to go away.”

“. My dog is stressed when boarding and has to be heavily medicated. I needed another option, to keep him safe and comfortable. Camryn was the first non family sitter that I have used and I was concerned. She did a great job. Jack was completely comfortable with her and was not at all stressed by my absence. I am very pleased with Camryn's performance.”
“Yolanda did an excellent job keeping Evan at the very last moment’s notice. I felt assured and comfortable with her and knew she would take great care of my fur baby. She was wonderful and I will definitely use her services again.”

“Frank is the best and our Bella took to him instantly. He sent us updates with pictures of how she was doing while we were away. It's so nice to be able to leave our dog in her own home with excellent care. We found our home exactly as we left it. Thank you Frank!”

“Melanie was wonderful. She seemed kind, caring and took great care of my pets. Even my old cat, Ernest T liked her!! And most people have to come here several times before they even see him! I would definitely recommend Melanie.”

About: Growing up we had 5 dogs and I’ve never looked back. I have watched friends and family inpets while on vacation, taken them on walks/hikes, and just dropped by to let them out or feed them during the day. I’ll treat your pet like my own while I’m with them and communicate with you plus photos (everyone likes to get a picture of their pet happy) I am currently a stay at home mom whose son is in school. We are looking to make an extra income to support vacations and activities. I currently have open availability as my husband can help with my son. I currently have 3 dogs (2 dachshunds and a boxer mix) at home with a fenced in yard. We do have crates if they need to be put up at all. I am available to come to your house as well to dog sit if needed!
About: Being an animal lover all my years and having at times, two 90+ lb. furbabies of my own from puppy to senior age, I am experienced in dog care. You can rest assured no matter where you are, near or far, you can count on me providing a loving environment, whether in your home or mine. Your furbaby(ies) will get lots of love and attention. Whether you're here or traveling abroad your furbabies are safe and well provided for. Personally, knowing from experience how hard it is to leave a pet in kennel style boarding with barking dogs all day. I'm a stay at home family, looking forward to making extra money while having a nice time together in a kind and loving home. I like to abide by routines to make your pups stay a fun experience that they will look forward to a return stay. Currently, my home has one sweet female dog who is looking for someone to enjoy watching the birds with from out screen porch. Playing in the yard or taking walks for exercise.
“Adreahna was so sweet and took great care of our dogs. We are vacationing in the mountains, and we wanted to spend the day and evening sightseeing. We felt at ease knowing a very sweet sitter was with them! I recommend Adreahna for your pet sitter!”

“Sherri did an excellent job taking care of our pup and kitten. She was on time, provided sweet photo updates and took great care of our home. We would definitely recommend her for anyone looking for a pet sitter!”

“Will definitely be hiring again if available. Dogs had a great time and she was extremely caring and attentive with them. Never had a problem getting a hold of her and got photo updates!”

“We were visiting from out of town, so we weren’t able to do a meet-and-greet beforehand, but we felt comfortable trusting her from our very first phone call. She took great care of our 2 month old puppy, made sure he got plenty of potty breaks, playtime, and naps, and followed our feeding and safety instructions perfectly. She also kept us updated throughout the day with texts, photos, and little check-ins about how he was doing, which gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. We came home to a happy and well loved pup and would absolutely trust her again if we’re in the area in the future. Highly recommend!”

But am available to go care for your pets before work, and of course hours after work as well up to 3 times a day. Mondays, Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays I am completely open to whatever schedule im needed for your pets care. I can easily feed and water your dog(s), walk them, love on them and give attention, as well as crate them. I can also give baths if dogs are comfortable with baths. About: I have had animals around me my whole life, I’m a certified and experienced Dutch shepherd handler and grew up with a Belgian Malinois. For the unfamiliar think German Shepard but highly “enthusiastic”. I am going to college with morning classes being the norm. House sitting and sleepins are on the table I only ask for clear communication. My mom is a dog breeder and we constantly have puppies who have weak immune system’s and can’t be around other animals so I can not sit your animal in my home only in the clients house
About: I raised a puppy from 4 weeks old. I also have a cat that I raise and have been raising since she was less than a year old. I have a stay at home job so I am available anytime you need me day or night! So I am very flexible with your schedule and what you need. I offer any service cause I have open availability and can work around your schedule and availability. I also can travel to your home if you need me to.

“Amanda was great! She is clearly experienced with big, strong dogs and handled ours with confidence and ease. We especially appreciated how much she walked our dog. It made a big difference. On top of that, she is very personable and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Owltown walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Owltown maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Owltown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Owltown. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
