“Phillip was the primary caregiver. He carefully exposed the other dogs to each other so they could all be comfy. My dog seemed happy to be there.”

“Rachel helped me out big time by taking my dog last minute after a cancellation. She responded promptly even though it was very late in the evening. She sent numerous photos to let me know my dog was in good hands. Will book again in the future.”
About: Hi, I’m Sam — a reliable pet caregiver with 116+ 5⭐ reviews, flexible scheduling, and a big heart for animals! I’ve been a dog walker + drop-in sitter for about 2 years, and pets bond to me quickly. I treat every dog like my own — with patience, affection, and lots of attention to safety. 🐾 What I offer: • Dog walking (short + long walks available) • Drop-in visits (feeding, potty breaks, playtime) • Medication given if needed • Puppy care + senior pet patience • Updates + photos every visit 📸 • Last-minute/same-day bookings welcome I love meet-and-greets, but I’m also happy to step in when you need help quickly. My goal is for you to travel or work stress-free, knowing your fur baby is safe, loved, and entertained. Experience: I’ve raised and owned 3 dogs over the years and currently share life with 3 hilarious cats who think they're dogs. Animals have been a major source of joy my whole life — caring for them feels natural, not like work. 💛 A typical visit/walk: We’ll get movement, sniff breaks, playtime, cuddles, fresh water, treats (if allowed!), and mental stimulation. I can reinforce training methods you’re working on too. Your pet’s comfort and routine come first — tell me their quirks, favorite toys, and any rules you’d like followed. I’m here to make your baby feel safe and happy while you’re away. 🐶 Let’s schedule a meet + greet — I’d love to care for your furry family member! I work from home, which lets me offer flexible visit times for walks and drop-ins throughout the day. I’m available for morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend care — and I do my best to accommodate same-day requests whenever possible. Safety and communication are top priorities for me. I love doing meet & greets so I can learn your pet’s routine, personality, feeding instructions, and any special needs. I follow your home guidelines, provide photo updates during visits, and ensure your fur baby is safe, happy, and loved every time.
“Leslie was so wonderful with my wilson! She sent lots of pictures, even took him to a park when it was nice out. She followed the directions for feeding and gave him lots of snuggles ❤️”

“Jessica did an excellent job taking care of my dog, Pekka. She was attentive, reliable, and kept me updated with regular check-ins. I highly recommend her services for anyone looking for a caring and trustworthy dog sitter.”

“Suki had a great time! Mariah was very sweet and texted immediately whenever I was being a nervous Nelly and checking in on my pup. Suki came home and went straight to sleep so I count that as a win!”

“Late yesterday evening, we decided to spend the day out of town. On very short notice they were able to take in Nyko. I think he had a blast. It gave us a lot of freedom on our day away as well.”

About: I’ve had dogs all of my life, have taken training courses, read books on positive training practices, and volunteered at shelters. I am a writer who works from home with a 3 year old 12.5lb playful doxie/terrier mix who needs walks early and often — so much of my day is spent on slow sniffaris and trips to the park. I live alone in a large apartment with several plush dog beds strewn about, so there is plenty of space to stretch and play — and my couch sits along three large windows where dogs can perch to watch the passersby. If your dog needs a sitter or a sleepover, I’d love to have them — and my little pup would love it even more. Since I’m around all day, I’m available to meet your dog’s special needs — administering medicine, adhering to feeding times, playing tug of war, whatever the case may be. We have warm and happy home full of natural treats waiting for you and your dog. I work from home and so am available to fulfill your dog’s needs without bother! I never leave my own dog for more than a few hours at a time so you can rest easy knowing your dog is getting the focus and energy they need. Dogs in my home get many daily walks, at least one trip to the park every day — and most of all sensitive and informed care. My family makes fun of me for how attentive I am to my own dog, brushing his teeth and treating him with healthy snacks, watching him closely for changes in behavior and physical afflictions. Your dog would receive the same care (plus or minus the teeth brushing). And you will receive as many photos as you can handle ensuring they are having fun.
“Heather was great! She was able to care for my pup for a few hours while I was at an event at the KFC Yum! Center. She took great photos and my pup seemed very happy when I picked her up.”

“Jared and Waverly were great with our dogs, and even managed to get my curmudgeon named skittles to positively interact with a couple older dogs! They were flexible and understanding of my changing schedule, as we were on a road trip and only needed help for a few hours. If I’m ever in Louisville with the doggos again I’d contact them straightaway”

About: I’ve always been the one friends and family when they need someone to love and care for their pets—and I wouldn’t have it any other way! Spending time with animals is something that genuinely makes me happy. I currently don’t have a dog of my own, which means I have plenty of extra love, attention, and energy to give to yours. Lots of Free Time, with a Flexible Schedule I work part-time, which gives me the best of both worlds—structure and plenty of free time. My flexible schedule allows me to be available for your pup throughout the day, during evenings, and even at those odd or last-minute hours. Whether you need regular walks, drop-ins, or overnight care, I have the time and commitment to make sure your dog feels cared for and never rushed. My Care Style Your dog’s comfort and happiness always come first. When they’re with me, they’re treated like part of the family—lots of cuddles, playtime, and attention included. I’m happy to follow your routines and preferences so your pup feels right at home, no matter where they are. Special Requests Every dog has their own quirks, routines, and favorite things. Please share any special requests or details about your dog ahead of time—I love learning what makes each pet unique and will do my best to keep their days feeling familiar and full of love. I’m currently working part time with a very flexible schedule so I will have plenty of time to care for your pup even at the odd hours. With my flexible schedule you can rely on me to be there even in the tight times. Your fur baby will get plenty of love in my home between me and my friendly cat, Ambrose. I will usually let them roam free around the apartment and on my furniture unless otherwise noted. Basically, you tell me what it is you need from me at my home or yours and I will make it happen.
Strathmoor Village dog parents share their Rover experiences
Corey kept my dog active, but also made time for snuggles and chill on the couch. I received adorable photos throughout his stay and I can tell that my dog was well cared for and enjoyed his time with Corey and his dog too. Very warm and friendly and a very good experience.

Barbara took great care of Lola for us! I had a last minute trip into town to visit a sick friend. July 4th weekend so finding any of my usual dog sitters was not an option. Used Rover for the first time and Barbara did a great job with Lola. Received pictures and had great communication through the sitting. I absolutely would use Barbara again!
