About: I've had dogs and cats my entire life, and I have experience with dogs of all sizes and kinds, ranging from Pomeranian to Great Pyrenees. I currently have a cat of my own, and grew up taking care of cats of all ages. In college, I volunteered at a humane society where I worked on socializing cats and walking dogs, on leash of course, prior to adoption. There, I also learned how to prevent the spread of infection, both in a kennel and from home to home. I also have experience taking care of fish and poultry, doing water changes and chemical balancing, if needed. About: I’ve been dog walking and sitting for both relatives and family friends since I was maybe 5 or 6. I grew up in a big dog family and have always had a passion for animals. I’m starting school this fall at Iowa State University, and I plan to major in Animal Biology so I can get myself started on the pre-veterinary track. To get some extra hands-on experience, I want to “officially” get some pet-sitting under my belt through Rover. I have also recently started volunteering at the Ames Animal Shelter and I love the exposure that I’m getting! About: I have been around all kinds of animals since I was 7. My stepmom owned a vet clinic for a majority of my life, and I did lots of work and volunteering there. I also have 6 dogs of my own! I have a part-full time job depending on the week. I am available any time on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Saturday, Wednesday after 3, Thursday I am available after 6! I am very comfortable walking dogs as I have been acclimated to it my whole life, I am comfortable with collars, harnesses, and adjustable/choke collars (but would rather not use them).
