“Brittany is just so good at this. This was our first time being away from our shy two-year-old cat, and I was concerned he would not do well given he’s the only pet in the house. Brittany’s daily updates were sent immediately after her visits and the many photos proved he was having fun, and she even had him cuddling and lap sitting within a few days. Brittany was also super easy to work with and accommodating of his unusual raw diet and daily tooth-brushing regimen. It was a relief to know he was in such good hands. Will definitely book her again.”

About: I am the proud owner of 5 dogs ( 1 GSD, 1 King Shepard, 2 huskies, and a husky GSD mix). I've always had pets - cats and dogs. I'm a new owner to 2 bearded dragons as well. I had a sheltie for 13 years as a tri-paw and welcome any pups that need extra love and attention I'm working part time and am able to drop in for your pets in the evenings and weekends when my schedule permits! I can do weekly visits or just one time depending on your needs. Each babe is cared for individually. No one will be left alone and will always be secure in handling. I understand that not all babes can be off leash or trusted with other pets, sometimes items in the yard or house can be scary.
“Summer took the time to stop by and meet us and our cats before we left for our trip. We enjoyed the daily updates and photos. She even got our shy cat to open up to her. We would gladly use her services again.”

“Debora was here today for her first drop-in visit. She was prompt and sent a couple pics as requested. She also left a note for me on how the visit went. My pup and her hit it off great at the meet and greet.”

About: I am currently a veterinary assistant, so I am comfortable paying close attention to an animal’s behavior, routine, and overall well-being. I also have experience working as a behavioral training assistant and dog walker at a humane society, where I worked with dogs that had many different personalities, energy levels, and needs. I have experience caring for dogs with separation anxiety, and I understand how important patience, consistency, and a calm environment can be for pets who may feel stressed when their owners are away. Through my behavioral training experience, I have also practiced working with dogs on basic manners, confidence-building, and adjusting my approach based on each dog’s personality. I also have practice giving medications and assisting with vaccines, so I am comfortable following specific care instructions and making sure each pet receives the attention they need. Overall, I try to treat every pet like they are my own while still respecting the routine and expectations their owner has already built. Whether a pet needs extra playtime, a slower approach, medication, walks, or just someone calm and attentive nearby, I am happy to adjust my care to what works best for them. Pet care fits very well into my current routine because I am only working as a veterinary assistant in Antigo two days out of the week. Outside of those workdays, I have a flexible schedule and am especially available on weekends. Since I will be in the area for the summer before I move, I would love to use that time to help people in the local community with pet sitting, dog walking, drop-ins, or other care needs. I know summer can be a busy time for travel, work, and family plans, so I am happy to provide reliable care when owners need someone they can trust. My schedule allows me to give pets the time and attention they need while still being consistent with their normal routine. I care for pets in a client’s home by trying to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. I know pets can feel more comfortable when their feeding schedule, walks, playtime, medications, and quiet time stay close to what they are used to, so I always pay close attention to the instructions each owner provides. I am also very detail-oriented when it comes to caring for someone’s home. My goal is for you to return to a space that feels just as comfortable as when you left it, whether that means cleaning up after your pet, keeping food and supplies organized, bringing in mail, watering plants, or making sure the home is tidy before you return. Overall, I want both pets and owners to feel comfortable. I treat every home with respect and every pet with patience, care, and attention to their individual needs.
“Isabel did an amazing job taking care of my cat! She clearly loved caring for her and provided me detailed updates after each visit. She was also super flexible when I added a day onto my vacation.”

“First time meeting Craig we were happy we chose him. He was quick in responses, asked questions, vey prompt, and warmed up to our dogs immediately! Would definitely recommend him.”

About: I’ve had a lifelong love for animals, growing up caring for dogs, fish, and even a parrot. That early experience turned into a true passion, and as an adult I’ve continued to care for pets of my own. I’ve also been a trusted pet sitter for friends, providing attentive, reliable care for their pets while they’re away. I treat every animal as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times I am available to care for your pet after work on the week days and then full or partial time if needed on the weekends. Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Stevens Point. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
