“Wonderful and a dog lover. My dog absolutely loves Caroline and she takes good care of her. Would definitely be the person I call in the future when I leave town. Thanks so much!”
About: I've been a pet owner my entire life and pet sat for friends and family since I was around 12 years old. In the last few years, I've also become something of a pet expert through my freelance writing. That same experience means that my schedule is very flexible and I can easily work while hanging out with your pets in your home. I'm currently training to become a dog trainer and behaviorist, and I have first-hand experience with reactive dogs through my own dog, Ginger. I've also cared for special needs dogs in the past, and have a special needs cat, Pepper, of my own. I carry my own pet sitting insurance and am happy to provide proof of insurance upon request. I'm a freelancer that sets my own hours, so I can work in pet care at any time. I can even stay full-time at your home the entire time you're away. I prefer to care for pets in clients' homes. I find that most animals are more comfortable in their own environment anyway, plus there's no concern for how well they'll get along with my own pets.
“Madeline is amazing! We have hectic work schedules that change at the drop of a dime, and Madeline has been so accommodating with helping pick up our slack at home with the dogs. She responds so quickly to messages, is extremely flexible, and great with our pets. We love that she takes such great care of them and is happy to help! We rebook with her almost weekly because of how phenomenal she is!”

About: With over 10 years of hands-on pet care experience, I've cared for dogs of all breeds, sizes, and personalities—from tiny toy breeds to large working dogs. I understand that every dog has unique needs, and I provide patient, loving, and personalized care for each one. I'm comfortable administering oral medications, reinforcing basic training and good manners for puppies, and providing gentle, attentive care for senior dogs who may need extra patience and support. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or prefers a slower pace, I'll make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you're away. My goal is to treat every pet like family, giving you peace of mind knowing they're in experienced, compassionate hands. I have open availability and work from home, so your pet will rarely be left alone. My flexible schedule allows me to provide plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. I also have a large, fenced backyard for safe outdoor fun and can provide potty breaks every 2 hours—or more frequently if needed for puppies or senior dogs. Here's a warm, professional response that's well suited for a Rover profile: Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or in a client's home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent and stress-free as possible. I provide plenty of love, attention, exercise, and playtime while making sure they always have fresh water, meals on schedule, and a safe, comfortable environment. In my home, pets have plenty of space to relax and play, including access to a large, fenced backyard for supervised outdoor time. Since I work from home, they're rarely left alone and receive frequent potty breaks, companionship, and lots of affection throughout the day. When caring for pets in a client's home, I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walks, medications, and any training routines. I also make sure your home is respected and secure while keeping you updated with photos and messages, so you can have peace of mind while you're away.

“Rachel has truly been the best to my pup. She came to visit/walk my dog almost daily for the past few weeks and she has been reliable, responsive, attentive, and kind. Every visit, she left me with lots of cute photos and a detailed update about my pup and their time together. My pup always seemed nothing short of happy, comfortable, and at complete ease. Rachel is a kind hearted and thoughtful sitter who truly treats your dog like her own. She even purchased my golden doodle some of her favorite treats when we ran out at home and made sure to ask for my permission before doing so! The only reason I have parted ways with Rachel is because I have moved out of town, and leaving her was the saddest part about moving! I wish I could continue service and proceed with the same peace of mind Rachel gave me. Like many pet parents, I have a lot of anxiety about others caring for my pup, but I never felt an ounce of that with Rachel. I always had the upmost confidence that my pup was in great hands. I highly recommend her to all!”

I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and understood, especially while their family is away. My goal is to keep routines consistent, provide lots of affection, and give you peace of mind with updates, photos, and clear communication. I work from home and I’m also a stay-at-home mom, so I have plenty of time and flexibility to care for pets throughout the day. “Hannah was such a huge lifesaver in my situation. She was super responsive and friendly. She went above and beyond to make sure she was there for my dog when I couldn't be. I never want another dog walker aside from her, honestly. Very trustworthy and my dog loved her.”

About: I have been pet sitting dogs and cats since I was very young and am passionate about caring for and saving animals of all breeds! I am currently a college student who attends school 3-4 days a week. However this doesn’t not affect my pet care because I prioritize any potential clients and can balance work and life! I make sure to give lots of love, attention, cuddles, and play time with any animal of any size. I am big on treat giving!
About: Family, friends and neighbors have relied on me to care for their furry loved ones when they need help. I care for them as if they were my own. I work from home so your dogs will have constant company and potty breaks. I love the idea of helping others pet owners when need. I have a fence in yard that backs up to a pond. Very quiet and peaceful. All boarded dogs will come to my home, I will come to your home and walk your dog, if requested, play fetch, give attention, and gentle love to them in your place which services you request. Feed them if needed.
About: I have spent about 10 years pet sitting for other people. I've pet sat dogs, guinea pigs, fishes, rabbits, and cats. I also have a dog of my own so I know what it's like trying to find a sitter that will treat your pet like a family member. I love to take dogs on walks, have no problem cleaning up after them (outside and inside), have no problem giving medication, and love to give belly rubs/head scratches. I love to know more about your pet/pets before hand such as medical conditions, and or aggression towards other animals so I know to look out for signs. Hello everyone, so I do work a full time job weekend shift. I work from 5 am till 7pm Saturday,Sunday, monday, and sometimes overtime. Please keep this in mind when booking for house sitting since it does mean I won’t be able to on those days. If you'd like me to dog sit (from your home) as soon as I get there in the morning it'll be bathroom break, feeding, play time/walk time, attention time, then I'd leave for a little bit and would come back in the afternoon to have another bathroom break, play time, and attention time. Then leave again and at night would do another bathroom break and feeding and playtime. (Bathroom breaks will be given more than three times since each time I come over I’ll be there for 2-5 hrs at a time.) for housesitting I am not able to spend the night since I do have my own dog so it will be me staying throughout the day. I currently work 3 12 hr shifts on Saturday- Monday so those are the only days I’m not available. I’m free Tuesday-Friday to help out in anyway you need. Any details about your pet is greatly appreciated such as any aggression towards other people or animals so I know how to handle the situation.
About: Animals have been my whole life for as long as I can remember — I got my first cat at a year and a half and had cats well into adulthood. After joining the military at 18, I got my first puppy at 21 and have been rescuing ever since. Today I share my home with 2 cats and 3 dogs (my whole world!), and I volunteer regularly at local animal shelters. Since joining Rover, I’ve cared for senior cats, senior dogs, birds, frogs, puppies, and rabbits 🦜🐈🐾. My background with the SPCA and Humane Society gave me hands-on experience reading different temperaments and helping animals adjust to new environments — skills I bring to every booking. I’m a retired Coast Guard veteran, so I have a free and clear schedule! Ready to work around your schedule and ensure your pets get the best care. I have a soft spot for rescue animals (clearly — it’s how I ended up with five of my own!), which means I’m not able to offer in-home boarding, but I’m glad to provide drop-in visits, house sitting, walks, baths, playtime, and lots of love. I treat your pets — and your home — exactly like I treat my own. Whatever your pet needs, just let me know and I’ll make it happen. I also have real experience with pet medical care: my cat Nyla has asthma, so I’m comfortable giving oral medications, topical treatments, and inhaler doses to both cats and dogs, along with ear cleaning and nail trims. My dog Pia Mia gets medicated baths every other week, and I provide enrichment toys for all my pets to help manage energy, stress, and anxiety — so your pet will get that same thoughtful care.
About: Growing up in a household whose always had rescue pups i’ve cared for dogs coming from several different backgrounds since I was 13. I have most experience caring for rescues that have come from very abusive homes, senior babies, administering respective pills, and dogs with epilepsy/ heart failure. Neighbors and family friends have always relied on me to know that their pup is in the best hands.I’m also going into my first year of college majoring in Animal Science to be a veterinarian:). I am currently free all week and weekend. During those seven days i’m free from 9am to 12am. Thank you for choosing me to take care of your loved one! I currently do not have a fenced in yard but leashes are used during that time. I currently have a new addition to my family that is 4 months. He’s up to date on all vaccines. Our dog does very well with others. Potty breaks are every 40 minutes to an hour as well as a potty break 30 minutes after eating ( i find that this is the best time frame). If a crate is needed and/or provide then i will ensure that one is used. My pup is also crate trained. (info!) The speckled dog that you see in the photos was mine but is no longer with us, if you had any concerns:). Their passings are very unfortunate but i can ensure that they lived a very long and love life.
About: I have always loved animals! I have two of my own and grew up taking care of my family’s dogs and cats. I would love to take care of your fur baby like my own! I work part-time during the week and do not mind taking breaks in between for drop in visits and walks! I can accommodate my schedule to whatever the animal needs. Keeping my animals safe is of upmost importance to me! I personally am very careful with mine and would do the same for your animals.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs, I have a family dog named Tin-Tin. I also have two bunnies of my own which I’ve raised for 5 years now, and chickens! I’m currently working part time at the moment, I am usually free/available later in the days and free all day on the weekends! I would be able to pet sit at your house, making sure to keep an eye on your furbaby, and catering to their needs. I would ask in advance the do’s and don’t’s and also be respectful of your space.
About: As a long-time dog owner and part time walker/sitter, your pup will be in experienced, patient, and loving hands! Furry families have trusted me with dogs as large and old as 10-year-old Great Danes and as young and small as 10-week-old puppies. I'm an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast, with enough energy and love to match any pup's personality, young or old, wild or mellow. I have complete schedule flexibility for all services on weekends and general availability on weekdays. I go on daily walks and runs and would love for a furry friend to join. I enjoy spending time playing or relaxing with your dog and caring for their needs. I am a neat house guest who likes to leave a place better than I found it and is very respectful of boundaries. Furry friends and I will play within your set space and go explore outside what the area has to offer.
About: I had a great dog as a child and as I have grown up, I decided to get one of my own! I love taking dogs out to play and watch them run around. I also don’t mind just sitting there loving them! I have two kittens and a dog of my own to help keep your company and play. I have crates for all my animals just incase anything were to go wrong. I do not have a fenced in yard but I do own leashes of multiple sizes!

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
