About: I've been a pet owner my entire life and pet sat for friends and family since I was around 12 years old. In the last few years, I've also become something of a pet expert through my freelance writing. That same experience means that my schedule is very flexible and I can easily work while hanging out with your pets in your home. I'm currently training to become a dog trainer and behaviorist, and I have first-hand experience with reactive dogs through my own dog, Ginger. I've also cared for special needs dogs in the past, and have a special needs cat, Pepper, of my own. I carry my own pet sitting insurance and am happy to provide proof of insurance upon request. About: Hi! I have had dogs since I was born. Older, younger, smaller, larger, much larger. I have been dog watching since around age 14 or so. I currently have one chiweenie (13), my sweet baby, whom I had to leave for a bit because of schooling, though I tend to her weekly. I also volunteer at a nearby animal shelter to help out the understaffed staff with all of their animals as well! walkers on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their contact information. Sitters may set a same-day, one-, three-, or seven-day cancellation policy. Cancelling within your sitter’s cancellation policy qualifies you for a full refund.
Same-day cancellations for recurring services, which include walks, drop-ins, and day care, follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for pet boarding and house sitting, if you cancel after 12 pm on the applicable cancellation deadline, you’ll receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for any remaining days.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means you will get a full refund and our support team will work with you to find a replacement walker.
